Ni Hao, Folks. Welcome to the ever-hot China. Three months ago, it was hot. Three months later, it's exactly the same temperature of +34 degrees Celsius. Today we're going to look at something we're not familiar with - Chinese modular homes. Yes, we've seen this, this and even this. But what does this whole thing look like in China? Surely they have their cool trains, airplanes, train stations, electric cars... By the way, someone left a suitcase. We've been standing there for about 10 minutes, people have left, and the suitcase is still there. But back to the subject. Surely the Chinese can build modular houses, but somehow we have never seen this topic anywhere, it has not been covered and we are not familiar with it in any way. Our task today: to get to Heshan industrial park, whatever that means. This is where there is a whole village of what we are told are micro-homes. Modular homes that are made out of containers. But to get there we have to get to the neighboring town, and from there it's another 20 minutes by taxi, which frankly is also a challenge, because it's a huge problem to install a local app to call a taxi. Let's turn on the camera. Guangzhou train station. A scary place to be honest. Because there are tens of thousands of people inside. Let's go! This is Guangzhou Railway Station. Imagine a train station in Yekaterinburg or Irkutsk, let's say. It's the same thing, only in China. We haven't bought a ticket yet, by the way. There is no convenient service for buying tickets online. To our joy, there are much more convenient services to get to China in general. This is Aviasales. It's a very convenient ticket buying service. Comparisons, prices, different options and you can pay with a Russian card. Definitely recommended. This is how we choose tickets, by the way. This is the Guangzhou train station. See the sign for tickets? I see McDonald's. Where are the tickets? We've been walking for almost 15 minutes from that security check on the other side of the station to the ticket office. I mean, it's the whole building of one train station. Tickets. A separate building where tickets are sold. Wow! Look at the line. There are ticket vending machines, but no English. Which line should we stand in? Let's do the usual two. I'm not sure this is the right line. We go through the queue and they'll say, "Why are you standing here? You can't come in here. Folks, a little commercial break. Very noisy, very loud, hot and long. The checkout lines are all different. The signs are all different at the top. Whether we've been standing in the right checkout line for half an hour is unknown. Kirill stands in one line, I stand in another. Woman, stop talking. "I just have to ask." Here we go. Of course it is. Folks, yay! Oh, cool! Look, there's this thing on Google Translate. You turn it and-- Well, it's been around for a while, but we keep forgetting about it. Minecraft. You play Minecraft? It's that woman again! Nice. Awesome! So you've arrived as a tourist for the first time at a Chinese train station. This is the timetable. There's nothing in English. Folks, we wanted to show you something. You know, you go to a train station and there's massage chairs, two of them. And how much are they worth right here, look. Let's go get something to eat. 20 minutes to departure. That's the line at McDonald's? Is it? Show me from the top. Look. Just do a panorama. You want fries? Folks, look at the workload at the Chinese McDonalds at the train station. Yay! Let's go. Folks, let's grab a quick bite and get on the train. It's already there... 15 minutes to go, eat fast! Folks, that was a good snack. How many tracks do we usually have at train stations? Track three, track five... And here we have 23 tracks! In fact, there are 27. 27 tracks. 27 tracks. Is this a line for the restroom? Where do we go? First car? Seat 01A, 01D. Folks, let's go. 28 minutes to go. Shall we walk around a bit? Subscribers have been asking for train reviews. Many have. This is, of course, a review of modular homes, in case many people have forgotten that. Let's show you what's interesting. Folks, let's start with the fact that this train is not the most expensive. It's business class. Not first class, not the luxury trains that China has and there are a lot of them. There are two classes on this carriage. And there is also an electric train, which has no seats, but we watched it and it seemed to us to be no different from the economy in this train, where everything is with seats. Do the seats turn here like in a Japanese train? Like this. And we're good to go. Let's go see the economy. I smell instant noodles. There it is. Oh, yeah. Man, it's cold. Wow. AC is on. Somebody's already spilled something, washed something, dropped something. These are our most comfortable seats. Look what a great view we have! It's a joke, but look. It's got a decent recline, it's got a table, it's got a pocket. Comfortable fabric seat. But it's an easy two or three hour ride. And these tickets cost-- How much did we pay? You'll see the price right here. There's a lot of people. Next is the same economy. It's comfortable, there's a handle, because the speed is 300 km/h. Toilet. Did you see what's in there? Even the Chinese rails look so cool. Everything is clean, neat, everything is so bright. It's raining. Man, it's dripping hard. And a train. Taxi's on the left. I signed up for something, but what? It's a 29-minute drive, and it's raining. Folks, let's go. It's like in a sauna. It's hot. Folks, one more short commercial break and we're entering the grounds. Over there are the bins, the houses. 55 seconds and we're on. We'll get to the bottom of this. Folks, I'll bet you $100 that they're discussing a sale on OZON. Why? Because they're promising discounts of up to 80% off. Delicious discounts, and a million products. The sale starts soon. Let's write down the dates - from August 15 to August 28. Promise discounts on many categories of goods: clothes, shoes, electronics and of course on school goods. There is not much left until September 1. Sales on Ozon, as we know, are good. Last time we bought a whole bag of useful good with huge discounts, because Ozon is millions of goods at bargain prices, as well as convenient delivery, including courier right to the door. By the way, when ordering clothes and shoes to delivery points you can pay after trying on. Sale from August 15 to August 28. All details at the link in the description. Definitely recommended. Folks, thank you for watching. There's a special link at the bottom. Five seconds now, we'll put the luggage down. So, Folks, where are we? First, two little serious disclaimers. First, thank you for watching almost to the middle of this video, even though its topic is a review of modular capsule container homes, we actually spent half of the video on how we got here, because we are now very far away. Really far away. But even here in some Chinese villages there are whole industrial parks and including such interesting companies that are doing interesting things. We are not a channel about architecture, but sometimes we talk about all kinds of interesting designs. It's also a monument to "Constructivism", and it's recently restored. That's the first thing. Second. It's Saturday, there's almost no one at the site. We are kind of on our own here and we have only two hours, but we are in the open showroom of a company that, first of all, is only three years old, and secondly, they opened all the houses to us and let us walk around and see what we want. So in one place we can see how much one small Chinese company does and has learned to do in three years. First of all, there's this. This is what they say is their five-star building. Five-star construction. That is from containers... The construction is based on 40-foot containers, but somewhere bigger, somewhere smaller, different formats as you know. They can build a huge building like this. Let's go inside and take a quick look. This is their headquarters. This company, China Green Container, the minimum cost of a modular house from a container, ready to live in, is $1300. This is now a big exchange rate, when we translate it into rubles. And imagine when the exchange rate was 55 rubles, compare. $1300, keep in mind. And they deliver to many places. We're inside a container structure. Yes, some things... Now, this is all, of course, nothing to do with containers. It's a steel structure that is built separately. At the base of everything. But containers are put on top. This, this and this, there are more on top, it's all containers. We were told that this makes the construction much cheaper. And the fact that it is a Chinese construction makes it even cheaper. Let's take a walk around the grounds. So that's what this video is about and why? We're not a channel about architecture so to speak, we're not experts in this field, we don't have an expert with us either. We're just going to take a walk around and show you what one of the many Chinese companies is doing. Perhaps you will find it useful. A cottage in the countryhouse or a business to set up, or talk to them, a franchise of some sort. Lots of different options. This is a cafe. It is also a variant of the construction from this company, but I think it is not a container, but there are hangs for installation on the platform. You can lift it with a crane and drive the whole thing. It weighs three tons, 2020. One of their earliest designs, because the company was founded in 2020. There you go. All the walls are completely cut off. And the side walls and this one right here. Here we go. I've seen things like this around the world, it's not new. And what's this? This is some kind of an RV. Wow, we've never seen anything like this before. Big panoramic glass, bunk bed, big bed in here, and there's no kitchen, by the way. It's a trailer without a-- . Look, there's a big bathroom in here. It's just a trailer like this for relaxing. And here's the best part. This is what was on TikTok, what was on Instagram. It's the same here, same couch. Oh, there's no bevel. Look, this is the biggest wireless charger we've ever seen. Usually you put it down and you're looking for the perfect spot. But this one, you can put it anywhere and charge it. Let's take a look at this one. It's more like a hotel room. Of course, the most interesting thing to know is what it's made of. What materials are used, how long it will last. There are some special features of the construction. Unfortunately, they can't tell us about that. There's also a glass roof. Here, for the hostess. Look, this corrugation slides and there is a glass roof. And there's a bathroom with a smart toilet. Here we go. The air conditioning, look, it's also interestingly hidden. It's part of the house, it's not hanging outside. Remember the Japanese capsule hotel? They had air conditioners hanging outside. They were just regular 20-foot containers. Here, the air conditioning is built in here. Maximum attention has been paid to aesthetics. And the design is done. There's even a balcony, cool. Let's go in. And this is the bathroom. Let's go check out the two-story. These guys also build very simple things, like these cabins. We talked about this earlier for $1,390. A two-story structure, that's a whole villa. It's just an office. - Can we walk second floor? - Yes This company has a large production facility, but it happens to be in another city. So they have a showroom here for some reason and the production is elsewhere. And there's an additional space like this. Now it is interesting to ask around and talk to the experts to find out how many floors they can customize upwards. 3-4 floors of these modular structures. How much can the first floor withstand? But here are the engineers unfortunately not on site today. No smart locks here. It's obviously inexpensive. Wow. Look how much space there is. Put something like this on the shores of Sochi and rent it out for $70-100 a day... Why not? Two rooms per family. And this one moves, and this one moves from here. Listen, it looks much smaller on the outside than it does on the inside. This goes here, this goes here. - 5-6 meters - 6 meters. Apparently, you bring it somewhere to minimize shipping costs. You put it up, you unfold it out, you put the floor in, and then this whole structure works like some kind of vacation home, hotel version. - Do you know the price of that unit? - $6000 - US dollars? - $6000, like a vacation house. Here we will not tell you much about it, so as not to look strange and stupid. Because we do not know what this is made of. It looks like a container base, except all the walls look like they've been cut and paneled. Oh, wow. It's like an apartment. Bathroom and two rooms. Well, here's a guideline, too, probably under $10,000. Modular homes. Look at this, it's a whole terrace. Here you can make a roof and it will turn out to be such a large dacha variant. Easily erectable, quickly transported and it is already fully connected to a utility. One room, a large living room, another room, and there is more. We'll show the specialists some details now. Maybe they'll write us something. There's insulation there. And there's a gap, I can see the street there. But I don't want to criticize because we don't know anything about it. Maybe it will be connected more tightly somehow. And there's more here, and there's more here. Dude, there's a lot more space here. There's a bathroom, there's still room for a kitchen. Please write in the comments, would you like to have such a summer house and how much it can all cost. Let's have a quick look at this one. Interesting opening system. Slides like this, also a hostess door to note. There's a couple of sizes. This is a small one, this is a bigger one. It's not plastic. As you know, in some inexpensive cafes, they have film hanging and dangling. This is curved plastic, cut to fit each section. It's all metal. The joints are also made to keep water from dripping. - What is that? - Mango - Is this mango? - Yeah - Is this mango tree? - Yeah-- yeah. - Wow. The most interesting thing they have is what we saw on the internet, what we came for. And what cost $42,000. Their most expensive house. Okay, guys, the project we came here to do is just to see what it looks like in person. And if it's even worth looking at and maybe you'll find it useful. This is this capsule right here. The whole structure is brought in ready-made, put up and transported if necessary on a regular truck. It's called C70, made in 2021, weighs 9 tons, if you believe the information that is written on the side. It's 11.5 meters in size. That's about as close as you're going to get to a lorry. Width is 3.3 meters, height here is 3 meters. The air conditioners are also hidden in the panels. They're tucked away here. This is their flagship product, flagship variant, but the exterior can be customized. The Chinese in general, as you you see, in three years they learned and they do all these things. They have a large production. They are also building hotels of this kind now. So I think they will be able to customize the color or curves very quickly and in different shapes. Of course, these things are all service, technological things. You can make greens here, you can make a fence here, to lower the capsule down. Here it stands on concrete platforms. Underneath, it's just a flat surface and these pipes for the to drain the water. Whether it's septic or central sewer depends on the particular conditions you have on your property. This capsule also has a balcony. To many people a balcony would seem a bit silly, but maybe not, if the capsule stands in a similar place. With or without a balcony, I think different options are available too. Because that option, the very first one we had, without a balcony. And balconies, I think, add to the cost. Because it's important to note that the glass is all curved. And curved glass, as we know, costs a lot of money. I get it, all these designs are cosmic, that's what they intended. But here's the choice of bedding. Let's go in and have a look. - Doris we need help. There is a lock. So, $42,000? - Yeah - Do you sell it now? Can we, for example, buy it from you? - Yeah - Right now? - Yeah - From the factory. And if we buy 10 or 100, can you make a discount? - Discount? Yeah, maybe some discount. - Maybe some middle-eastern country. We can make some discounts. - Oh, wow. And can we send it far away ,to Moscow, for example? - Yeah - Yes? Really? Folks, keep in mind. If you're building a hotel, here's a good one for you. There's a link to the website at the bottom. Ok. Let's go. Now, this is the whole thing is completely curtained off, blackout. A lot of times, we know in modular homes, there's some weird blinds or curtains that don't make any sense. Here is a normal normal curtain, you can do it electrically, you can do it by hand. And here, by the way, it's electric. There's a panel over there. This is the whole thing that closes from the button to here. There's a window. It's a big window, it's very fresh, it's blowing in. And what's more, it's blowing through, because from here to there. There's a window there too and you can make a draught and it's a quick airing. Air-conditioning is made interestingly. It is not just an ordinary unit hanging, but already built into the ceiling. Apparently that's one of the reasons why it costs a lot. The sockets down there, down here, down here is the control unit for lights and electricity. Phew, that's a lot of lights in here, you know. There's curtains. Looking here, card slot. So it's like a hotel option. You come in, insert the card and the electricity starts working. This is the air conditioning panel, it's off. There's even a balcony light. The shower stall is big, for a modular house it's done quite competently. So you come in, wash your hands. Then you undress in the hallway and go to your hotel room. The air-conditioning panel here too. The speakers are already made. So, everything is fully designed for the hotel, there is light and the roof is moving here too. It's a pity you can't see it, but here you can partly see it, the glass roof. The second bedroom. It can also be made as a living room. Put a regular sofa, hang a TV. But here we've made a format of two bedrooms. I think it's very successful. It is very interesting how the layout is arranged like a hotel room, somewhere in nature, somewhere outside the city. It's an interesting option. And we go out onto the balcony. And even here, by the way, the water drain is made, and 4 pieces. Curious, and for a long time we wanted to come here, to see. Of course, the review is a bit superficial, because, we repeat, there is no one at the site today. Even if there were, people here do not speak English. But the locals agreed, they said, if you want to walk around and see for yourself, come and see. This is the C70 project, and we've seen a lot of different modular houses and a lot of them are basically similar in design. But this is in terms of design, in terms of thoughtfulness and technology inside: lighting, air conditioning, curtains. Many points, in fact, they just form a quality vacation in nature. Especially in such a small modular house and here, as it seemed to us, we certainly did not sleep in it, we would like to, but there is no opportunity yet. These moments in this modular house are thought out. It costs a decent $42,000. This is their top-of-the-line configuration, the coolest project they have. But again, 42,000 at the current exchange rate, that's expensive. But if it's like before, why not? It costs a lot of money to build a house, and here you have a completely ready-made option. You arrive and put it on the lot. We apologize in advance again before you write your comments for a somewhat superficial review. Because today is a day off and the engineers are not on site. So we were just allowed to walk around and see what modular homes, container homes, simple ones like these small houses, as well as interesting space-like projects made by a small Chinese company, which is only three years old. We hope this material will be useful to you. We look forward to comments. The link to the company is at the bottom. This is not an advertisement. We know nothing about the quality of these houses, how reliable they are, how long they will last. We wanted to show you what kind of things there are in the world. Chinese modular houses is an interesting topic, by the way. We'll have to go deeper into it, there are specialized exhibitions here. We'll see what's what. We look forward to your comments. See you later. Bye!
