what's up guys I just got uh our new Shin gear waders in the mail uh wanted to do a little unboxing video for y'all when I was looking to buy them I looked at a lot of reviews uh saw a couple videos online a guy's talking about them but uh check out everything I could to make sure that was worth the investment um I got my first pairing about a week ago and I went with the uh mossy oak habitat which is kind of like a Max 5 Looking camo I liked them they fit good but they were a little bit short in the crotch I got a 3XL originally last 3x normal and they just weren't long enough so I shipped them back in uh got a 3X tall they didn't have the mossy oak habitat so I talked to customer service I want to say her name was uh Morgan she was awesome helping out they didn't have that 3X tall in the habitat they're not gonna have that till next year but they do have the new mossy oak tree stand which is what I ended up going with I was kind of torn at first between the tree stand and the habitat habitat is kind of matches a lot of the camera I already have but these are pretty sweet looking too just a uh old school you know your grandpa's camo pattern but they look pretty sweet um I haven't worn them yet I've had through the years I've never really had a super nice pair of waders I've had a couple just like your regular Cabela's 300 whatever uh last hunt last the LA last night that we did last year mine started leaking in at the boots and finally I just said screw it I'm just gonna buy a nice pair this year um they are pretty expensive they run about the same as Sitka but everything I've seen on them I mean they look awesome they got a nice zipper up front got the belt built better that's kind of their thing I've been following these guys for a couple years like I said wanting to get some and finally pulled the trigger on them so straps are kind of engineered a little bit better than most of your normal cheap waders I'm gonna try these on I'm a big guy I'm in between I'm probably six three and a half probably about 350. like I said the first ones fit good they just weren't long enough in the crop so hoping that didn't work yeah I've always wanted waders with a zipper because no man especially big guys it's hard to get neoprene waders on every morning when it's freezing cold and you're standing outside of the truck trying to roll them up over your belly foreign so yeah like I said this is a 3X tall got a lot more room than what I did with the regular 3x the belts elastic stretches man the boots are super comfortable on these I want to say they're 1200 uh insulin it's got these pants that come over the boots which is supposed to help with the seal so you can pull those down but yeah man they're super comfortable they're not insulated so you'll have to wear some sweatpants or whatever you normally wear underneath them but where in Texas it doesn't really get cold until end of the season anyway so that's really not a problem they they also sell a waiter pant that has the loops on the bottom and stuff but this whole thing is built off of a layering system but uh I like them they got Sherpa lined pockets on the side so I'm uh waterproof zippers put your calls whatnot there's a couple I think a couple magmatic Pockets inside so pretty much everything you need like I said I haven't worn them yet so jury's still out on that but man they feel good they're comfortable which is pretty much any duck hunter what you want is just to be comfortable so I like them they're sweet so just wanted to uh help y'all out if anybody's looking at getting some and then uh throughout the year we'll we'll see how they work out so pretty excited about it but appreciate you guys thanks for watching
