this is very old way of making glass, this is most likely a specialty glass factory. Modern glass factory is nearly totally automated and no one is pouring hot glass everywhere https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkvSdQGzTNQ

I believe they're making stained glass, and you need a human hand in there to make sure it's both unique and the colors are done right. The bloke with the fork thing is the money maker.
