hey guys today we're reviewing one of the cheapest sets of arrows that you can buy on Amazon first I'm going to give you all the specs then I'm gonna test them out then I'm going to take them to a friend have him test amount without telling him the price or anything about them and we're gonna get his full opinion without knowing anything about him then we're also going to shoot these out of 55 steel drum to see how they hold up and then try to shoot them through a compound bow through traditional bow and through a three-inch cinder block so you're gonna want to stick around to see this these arrows cost 36 dollars and 99 cents on Amazon Prime for 12 arrows which is stinkin dirt cheap for a set of arrows these are the gnar Cheree I believe is how you say a 31 inch practice hunting arrows with five-inch camo natural feathers for a triad ditional bow a recurve bow or a longbow no matter if it's a cheap item or an expensive item it's extremely fun to open a box so enjoy this with me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] all right it is time for the big reveal I've got the description sheet right here of what they put online so that we can see exactly what's in here now we have got 31 inch chairs here the outer diameter of the arrows is 0.3 inches yeah check it pull these out there it is looks like they're packaged well and I believe these are the hundred drain points here arrow points I'm gonna read a little bit of what their description says carbon arrows makes these hunting arrows more solid the description said hunting practice well made precision carbon hunting arrows made for extended durability and long-lasting target practice they're hunting in target I guess turkey feather fletching make flight always pointed the right way I'm glad they aren't coming at me the tips are nickel plated they're like the inserts that's cool Nicoll played the stainless steel which is perfect for targeting practice and outdoor shooting free replacement arrow [Music] there's 12 let me there should be 13 12 boughs are fixed with full foam perforate 12 boughs are fixed with foam perforations will not be squeezed not easy to damage during transport we got our bows in the mail I'm not kidding you there's a they type of it and that is pretty much all they have in the description for these arrows they do say that the fletchings are actually four point seven five inches long also they say that these arrows are good for 30 to 50 pound recurve bows long bows or compound bows which I find very interesting because clearly a 50-pound compound bow is gonna shoot a lot lot faster than a 50 pound traditional bow so I'm guessing that these arrows are actually rated for a 50-pound compound bow but they also clearly work for lower poundage bows as well as far as spine and arrow weight goes for these arrows they have no information on it at all I even try to look who the parent company of nursery or in archery is online and I couldn't find anything on it I looked for a phone number and nothing at all so if anybody knows who the parent company is beware we can maybe call them or ask more questions about these arrows let me know because I would be glad to do that personally I do not have a tester to test the spine or even I do not have a scale that weighs and grains either so I can't really weigh these arrows but what we can do is get another archers opinion so let's take a quick trip to Garrett and get his complete unbiased opinion in order to test these arrows not that one in order to test these arrows I'm gonna have Garrett take a shot here at a 55-gallon steel drum I'm kind of nervous actually babe be careful don't get hit it's actually almost right on the dead gum that's on the ridge so right on the ridge thick metal edge we got on the insect check that out he doesn't it looks alright no yeah it's like a fine it's a matter if we can get it out that's what we're gonna have to do is we're going to take the head off all right and hopefully now oh yeah so it kind of scraped up the paint for the cam over there just a little bit nothing too crazy what's interesting to me is that the nock stayed intact I would have thought that popped out the backside nock is intact broadhead flattened not Friday to a point flattened hey that's weak bent here bend it make sure it's not broken can't bend test see any spots in it no all right looks good always makes me nervous doing a pin test so I have a Garrett test out these arrows he knows nothing about them what's your opinion about these arrows okay so I like the weight on the fletchings what good no you disappointment so let's move em okay so the water won't meet him are very handsy we do a lot of motions okay so the Fletch's I really like those two they're pretty what would be the word for that forgiving yeah I'd say they're pretty forgiving they go back really well I do like the way they they basically I wrap them wrap the tip of the flesh which is awesome the the knocks not a fan of the knocks they were really wide and they just didn't fit over my string which I know some strings they're a little thicker but they're really loose on my air on in but when I was shooting them a couple times they'd fall out but before I'd get pulled back but other than that pretty sweet Harris so you get so you can buy them six six a that's 60 years or 12 hours okay so I've got 12 hours what would your price guess be well let's see the ones I bought were I think they were I want to say 60 bucks for 12 no for 6 not 60 bucks for 6 of them so 12 I'm gonna say these are probably cheat just because you want to be this excited if they weren't huh so I'm gonna say 12 arrows $90 $90 93 dollars 93 though 93 dollars the reason I wasn't so upset when you lost two of them my bad bro no 36 dollars for 12 arrows really yeah I thought they would be crap I thought they would break you guys thought we shot it through a steel drum yeah and I mean for that price you could buy box and knocks for probably six bucks and you can just reglue some better knocks in there a little tighter I mean I'd be worth it for sure so all right Manuel send me that link now that we have seen Garrett's unbiased opinion about these arrows it is time to go shoot them through a compound bow so I'm going to take these to my brother I'm gonna have him shoot them through his 52 pound compound bow and we're gonna be able to see if these arrows hold up under that much stress after shooting these arrows a couple of times they were shooting really straightened really good through the compound bow so we decided to try to shoot it through three inches of concrete 50 to 500 out of cinder block with these new Amazon arrows we're doing this for science so don't do this Oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] the knock bounced back all the way to here check out the arrow plus the damage worse so as expected that's kind of what I thought would happen I'm surprised in a shatter though so the insert got pushed back a little bit and it just mushroomed out of the arrow you and I bend it to see if there's any cracks in the center seems fine seems fine [Music] if you decide to shoot these through a compound bow I would suggest that you don't go over the 50-pound mark because it can be very dangerous if an arrow is under too much stress and it splits in the middle as you draw back and shoot it it can split in half and the arrow can actually shoot in through your hand if you look online there's hundreds of times this has happened to people this happened to me once myself I was fortunate enough that it did not go through my hand and I just came out with a watermelon on my wrist but you really don't want to mess around with this and you don't want to wait until you hurt yourself to use the right equipment in saying that this arrow actually worked really well through the compound bow so if you go back and forth and don't shoot heavy poundage it's not a bad idea to use this for your compound bow then you could probably also use it for your traditional equipment in conclusion these arrows actually worked a lot better than I thought they would but like Garrett said the drawback is the knocks so what I did is I went ahead and bought some carbon express knocks off of Amazon put them in and I'll show you here you can see the difference of why these knocks are so bad you know it seems like 50% of them held good on the strings and 50% didn't hold good it actually held the best on the compound bow that way better than it did on the traditional bows and maybe that is because we're shooting with our fingers I'm not exactly sure but if you get these arrows it's probably a good idea to replace the knocks as well the fletchings are good they are slightly helical to the right not a ton though it's very light but they seem to fly really straight with all the bows that I use to shoot these arrows with and also Garrett's and Creed's bow as well so the question is are these arrows worth that are 12 actually worth the $36 and it depends what you want if you're not worrying about being super precise then I would say yes for what I'm doing I'm making a bunch of bows trying to get a bunch of bows out and I just want some arrows to shoot those bows with and I want to worry about losing these ones or anything like that so this actually is a really good solution for me right now because I don't I'm not trying to tune every bow that I make specifically now my hunting setup might be a little different but I bet you could use these arrows for hunting as well the reason I think you could is because in today's world technology is so advanced when you move from a $36 for 12 arrows to 120 dollars for 12 hours there is no doubt about it 120 dollar arrows are gonna be better but the difference is not that much what I mean is there's more variation in your own consistency with your shot than there is going to be in these arrows there's going to be more inconsistency in our performance because we are not robots and so I think if you're super accurate with these arrows on their description it did say you can hunt with them I would you can practice with them I do not see why you couldn't hunt with them they're gonna be way better than what arrows for hunting and a whole lot more durable as you could see going through a 55-gallon steel drum I would like to see a wooden arrow go through a 55-gallon steel drum honestly I thought these arrows were crap they did impress me quite a bit there you guys have it that is my honest opinion on these arrows I hope this helps you out whether you want to buy them or not or if you're looking into getting cheap arrows or expensive arrows you get what you pay for but that difference between the most expensive arrows and the cheap arrows is smaller today than it ever has been so you can definitely get a cheap arrow and make it work for you I would like to thank everybody who is subscribed to this channel and if you're not yet thanks for joining me today here on this channel we do anything traditional archery and what I'm doing is I'm making bows I'm gonna get into making arrows and then we're gonna go out and hunt with them and show that you can be successful just like me an average guy making your own bow and hunting with it while being ethical so thanks for joining and I hope you guys have an awesome day 6 bucks and you can just reglue some better knocks in there a little tighter I mean I'd be worth it for sure so thank you alright man well send me that link thirty-six bucks under trash here but not like I'll just try [Music]
