ChatGPT & Grasshopper, Future of patterning

hello everyone Taurus knot is a type of mathematical knot which lies on the surface of a Taurus Taurus knots have specific properties such as number of Crossings and winding number and are studied in not Theory a branch of mathematics today I am exploring chat GPT with Rhino grasshopper python let's open the chat GPT and write the command I wrote Rhino grasshopper python code for making Taurus knot using n number of points wow chat GPT is writing script now now copy the code and passed it into our grasshopper python module I tested the code there is no arrows but I am not able to see the output for getting the output we need to add a for Loop for creating the list of points and rename the output according to the code which I have added now I got the output points I connected the output to an interpolate curve module yes we got the Taurus knot for the better understanding I created a tube using this curve now we can change the parameters of the program and Achieve different results for that we have to rename the python module input according to the code variable there are five variables such as p q radius height and N number of points rename the input of the Python module with these five variable and change the type into integer connect the number slider into each input if you see the python code we can see function has called with hard-coded values so we need to replace the hard-coded values to these five variable now we can see the output is changing according to the number slider values now we are going to make the pattern more interesting create perpendicular planes on a Taurus map curve then make 2D shape on Rhino using rectangle and trimming tools join the curves of 2D shape and add the 2D shape into grasshopper Orient the 2D shape into the perpendicular planes using Orient module then Loft the shapes using Loft module for better control of the pattern add the scale module to the 2D shape and adjust the scale now the interesting pattern of Taurus knot is ready with the help of chat GPT the future of chat GPT in pattern making is promising here are a few ways chat GPT could be used 1. automating the pattern making process chat GPT can be used to automate the process of pattern making by suggesting possible patterns based on given criteria such as fabric type and garment style 2. improving accuracy and efficiency chat GPT can assist in reducing human error and increasing efficiency by providing quick and accurate pattern measurements calculations and Corrections 3. personalizing patterns chat GPT can be trained to generate personalized patterns based on individual measurements and body types overall the use of chat GPT in pattern making has the potential to significantly improve the speed and accuracy of the pattern making process while also adding the potential for personalization and automation
