So here we have a baby boomer telling millennial to go kumbaya out into the sunset in a different country to learn about a different culture and take some "bold" risk in their twenties. He's forgetting a couple things, first is the amount of student debt that need to be paid off after school and second that not getting an internship during the college summers makes it far harder to get a job when students graduate. This idea that life will figure itself out and you will find your place in the world is great, if you have no financial debt holding you down. It's such bullshit that he says the experience gained in the professional workplace early on isn't weighted as heavily as experience gain traveling. Having experience in the industry is how you figure out if your going to like the profession. How else are you going to find out if the job is right for you?
Can you post a transcript, lots of people are only on their phone data or otherwise don't have a good connection to watch videos.
Murray an enigma. He seems to have empathy and concern and also pro basic income. But is a libertarian.
I know a lot of you will have qualms with his other political views, but he also has a lot of good life advice.
Wow. This was awesome. I can't agree more that people should challenge themselves and take more risks, rather than taking the safe life route on rails. Just imagine a generation raised by helicopter parents, never been truly challenged in adulthood and then get thrown into a sh*tstorm in their 30's...it's coming.
