CHAOTIC start into my life on the Road on Tenerife!

foreign [Music] hello and welcome I'm giant Cheerio a bicycle Traveler after being on the road for one year I took a little cycling break and now I'm taking you with me to jump right into my next adventure I'll catch a plane to reach the Canary Islands and Escape winter and let me tell you one thing it's gonna get chaotic I didn't check my equipment before leaving and that turned out to be a huge mistake obviously luckily I had the chance to figure out what to do while having a safe spot in a tiny little abandoned house where I was invited to stay at so lean back and enjoy watching my little messy chaotic start into my next adventure I hope let's go [Music] thank you [Music] I just arrived I think two hours ago and I'm still packing my bike I thought that it would take less time to get packed but honestly uh I don't know where to put my stuff it's a chaos okay the bike is fully packed the bike is freaking heavy I can't even lift it and yeah I just uh I have to find a place now and just set up my camp and go to sleep and then tomorrow I'll see where to go I'm so freaking nervous I haven't been that nervous in a very long time uh I don't know where to go and I wish it was still daylight ah good morning I have my first night outside and this morning I tried to reorganize my stuff because yesterday at the airport I just threw everything inside the bags it's a big big big big mess and I have to uh get to a place where I can unpack everything and then sort my stuff I don't know why I'm not organized like I did that for almost one year and now I don't know how to pack my stuff last year when I was cycling in Spain I met another bicycle Traveler and he's on Tenerife now and so I'm gonna go there then just see what happens I'm hungry I'm thirsty and yeah I I'm just gonna go oh so much mud um I can't ride like that and I have to take it off my tires but it's so much and it's so freaking sticky um cycling I don't know maybe 30 minutes and I'm already done like my current Fitness date is and my bike is way too heavy I know I already said it but uh yeah one thing if you ever plan to fly somewhere with your bike just do a tour with all your equipment before um putting your bag in the box because I didn't do that I was like oh okay I will just throw everything inside and it will it will fit it will be all right and now I'm like oh I'm already reorganizing I thought I'd be smart and just use my cradles and I put them here and I thought oh that is perfect but now when I'm pedaling my feet they bump against this thing here it wasn't very smart to just use the Cradle usually you use it together with another part that goes from this pole to the other pole and then you can attach your bags there but I thought I wouldn't need the pole and now I do know better I didn't test the setup and now day number one and I'm already using the duct tape surprise I have to find a solution for this problem um because otherwise I cannot I cannot uh cycle because my feet are in such a weird position and yeah so let's just see okay that's the final final thing now um and I will just start cycling so looks quite good nope that looks pretty shitty okay hey ho let's go I know it's not hey ho let's go because I have to do the other side as well and once again surprise foreign [Music] stay off the bike for almost six months and yeah I just uh I just realized the only thing I need is my bike my tent and a little bit of money to buy some groceries and that's it ah look at this so beautiful [Music] 10 more kilometers and I'm gonna meet my friend Rick I'm very happy to see him after one year and he's also one of these crazy crazy people like he just left home almost two years ago with a giant backpack and then he just took off and went to I don't know Italy or I don't freaking know took the ferry to Spain and then there he bought a shitty bicycle and then he just cycled along the Spanish coast and I've never seen such a big backpack in my whole life but yeah he just did it and now he's here on the Canary Islands and he just found an abandoned house and yeah I can stay there for as long as I want I don't know and I'm just gonna go there now and say hi and just uh yeah reorganize my stuff [Music] I pitched my tent at Rick's place and enjoyed a life off-grid for a couple of days it is a special life out there in the nature without electricity and without running water there is a water source called asikia just a 30 minutes foot walk and every second day we went there to refill the canisters and use the water for cooking washing and taking showers and of course we explored and Rick showed me around the beautiful area pepper of Tenerife a red one a red one yes okay you got some at the house no no so we take some and surprise I also had enough time to finally reorganize my chaos but I was struggling with uh my cradles oh no not again we're gonna skip that I was the lucky one because my backpacking friend Timo decided to join me once more and he brought the missing part of the spider rear wreck so yeah I'm done with my little chaos episode and I'm ready to explore the island I'm saying Cheerio goodbye Saloon and I'll see you next
