hey guys welcome back to my channel so today's video is going to be all about Chanel classic flap bags I wanted to make a video compiling a lot of different information and experiences so if you are in the market for one of these bags then hopefully this video will act as a good reference guide for you in making your decision as to which bag to go for now there's already so much logistical information out there in terms of you know exactly how many centimeters or inches each bag is and you know all of that so I'm gonna skip all of those logistical information because frankly in video stories inches and how many centimeters do you pull me a little bit but I wanted to focus more on the practical tips in helping you choose the right bag for your lifestyle and for the purpose that you need the bag for I've definitely been buying Chanel bags for quite a few years now and over the course of a few years I have got a few bags in my collection and I've learned a thing or two on the way so I'm gonna be talking about sizes so if pros and cons of each size of the classic flat bags who should go for a specific size and also going to show you some modeling shots and show you what fits in each of these bags there are six sizes in the Chanel classic flap range and I do have five out of the six sizes here with me today secondly I'm gonna talk about the colors how to choose the correct color thirdly I'm gonna talk about the hardware's what sort of hardware there are to choose from and what I would think about when I'm deciding on a hardware color and fourthly I'm also going to talk about the leathers and materials of these bags come in and if you're new here on my channel welcome my name is Isabella I'm so glad you're here thank you so much for choosing to click on this video today I usually do videos on luxury and fashion so if you like these kinds of videos I'd love for you to hit that subscribe button so we can be friends and don't forget Yvette notification girl button so you are notified every single time I upload a new videos so before we get into the sizes colors and the variations I really quickly show you the construction of a classic flat bag because the construction is all the same they just come in different sizes and leathers and all that so all of Chanel classic flap bags have this exact look with the CC turn look at the front they're all flat style bags where you turn that little lock the bag opens that and all of the plastic bags have a second flip inside and when you open that then you can get into the inside of the bag I think you should papers in there and inside is all constructed exactly the same design as well so you've got that main compartment in the middle you've got two slip pockets at the back you've got a lipstick pocket in the middle and another slip pocket at the front I think that little shape is beautiful and the inner flap has a snap closure and inside of the inner flap you see that CC logo that is sewn on and you have the hot stamping in there that says Chanel made in friends Italy wherever it's made and behind the second flip you do have a nother pocket sleep pocket I don't really use that pocket and you also have a sticker compartment inside of the outer flap but it only grows up in all the sizes it doesn't go it down so I don't really see the use for that so pretty much that's what the inside of a classic flip looks like they all have two four grommets so that the chain can be worn as a double chain bag as usually a shorter bag or you can pull the chain on the one side and make it a longer strap and use it as a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag so that's true for all the Chanel classic flaps these features are not all present in the mini flaps because they're not technically part of the classic wrench but the minis do have a lot of these features and when you turn the bag around to the bag you've got the infamous back pockets so you can you know store flat items that you need easy access to so that is pretty much the construction of a classic flat bag from Chanel so let's get started with the very first thing which will be sizes so there are technically four sizes of these classic flaps so they are the maxi which is the largest one the Jumbo the medium and the small and I've included two exercises which are the true meaning or the square meanie and the rectangular meanie and these two are technically not considered classic black bags by Chanel because they are technically seasonal bags but a lot of us luxury lovers do consider these three bags also classic bags from Chanel as well because they look quite similar to these classic bags and they do have most of the features that the classic bags have and they do the same sort of function so I am going to talk about these six sizes I've got the five sizes out of the six I just don't have the maxi to show you and I've never owned one so if you guys out there own one or have some experience with the maxi feel free to leave your information down in the comments below so that it can help someone who may be considering the maxi but I will show you the five of them and discuss my thoughts on them so as a quick overview these are the true mini so we've got the square mini and the rectangular mini and then this is the small which is the smallest bag of the technically classic bags by the way this small is not my back this is my besties bag she was kind enough to let me borrow it for these videos so we're very lucky here so that is the small and then the next size up from this one is the medium which is mine so you can see a bit of a difference between the small and the medium and lastly we have the Jumbo which is massive so you can see that john-boy there next to the medium so there's a considerable size difference between the medium and the Jumbo and the maxi is a little bit bigger than the jumper which I don't have in my collection or I had known to borrow it from sorry this is the quick overview of the sizes now for each one I am going to discuss the pros and cons who I recommend that specific size form and show you some modeling shots to show you what each size looks like on me so you can get a reference point for reference I'm 164 centimeters tall and that is about five foot four and later on I will also show you exactly how much these bags can fit inside of them let's go from the smallest size shall we so I'm going to talk about the true minis together because to me they do so very similar purposes so minis are very very cute the biggest Pro to the mini would be the price point they do pretty much have all the features of the classic flaps which is the CC turn lock with an ICC logo the Interurban chain where you've got the metal hardware and the Interurban leather bits you've got the back pocket which is a feature for Chanel classic bags especially the rectangular mini has a very similar aesthetic to those classic flaps but in terms of price point they do cost about half of the other classic bags but you still get the look of the classic bags the other part of the minis is that they're very versatile sorry they do transition from day to night beautifully so you can carry them really casually on your shoulder as a shoulder bag with you know the most casual outfit during the day but you can also dress them up and wear one of these mini bags with the most dressy outfit like a really nice dress you can go out in the evening with these mini bags because they are small and they do look quite dressy with all the chains and hardware and the other Pro is that they are so lightweight thanks to the small size and also they are single flips rather than double flips so the for classy folks that I'm going to show you all have true flaps so you have the first flip and there will be another foot that you need to open to get into the interior of the bag but the minis only have the one flap because you know there's literally no space for a second flat but that makes these bags quite light and also it makes them really convenient to use so you don't have the second flip to contend with so you can get into your contents really easily so that is a very big advantage in my opinion and they are just so cute that is the other great thing about these bags that they're just so cute and you can always go for a pop of color because they are small enough so that they're not gonna be so overwhelming if you go for a crazy color you can go fun on these small bags now some of the cons availability is a massive corner these mini bags are usually quite hard to come by they usually sort out because they are very popular for the reasons that I've outlined before so if you do see a mini and you are thinking about getting one you should just snap it up the other corner of these mini bags is that you can't actually wear them double change so all of the classic bags you have the four grommets so you have the option of wearing them single chain and you also have the option of pulling through the other two grommets and wearing them double change which I'll show you in a minute on the small but with the mini bags you only have the two grommets and they actually stitched on the sides of the main part of the bag so you can only wear them a single chain you can make it into a double chain so you can kind of pull the chain from the one side and kind of swing this across like that and make it into a double chain but that is not technically how it should be worn it can be done but see how the chain comes up like that they can actually end up ruining the leather on the flap so you can do that and I've seen people do then I have done it before as well but it is not recommended because the bags actually not designed to be worn as a double strap the other corner would be the capacity so you need to remember that these are in fact mini bags so you can't fit all that much in them yes you can fit your bare minimum essentials but you can't fit a ton so if you are someone who needs to carry a little bit more than these bags won't be the best sizes for you and the other thing is longevity mini bags are sewn in at the moment but we don't know how much longer the trend is going to go strong because I already see some bigger bags coming back in fashion so it is still a lot of money to invest in a bag if they're not gonna be around and I am a believer that you know no matter what the trend you should always rock the bag that makes you happy when you carry it but sometimes when things go out of fashion you're also fall out of love with the item and that just sometimes happens sorry that is another thing to consider sorry who would I recommend the mini bags to pretty much everyone I absolutely love these mini flaps but I suppose if you do need to carry a lot than these bags won't work for you so if your minimal with what you carry around then definitely I do recommend these and you know if you don't want to spend six seven eight thousand Australian dollars and that's about five six US dollars on a bag then these are great options to go for for half the price of that next let's discuss this small size flap so from this size on we will have the double flaps in all of the bags that we're going to talk about today look at this this is a new bag that my bestie bought so she hasn't even taken out the tissue paper yes so all of the four bags I'm gonna show you from this one will have the second flap and there are four grommets for the chain so they can all be worn with one long chain or two shorter chains how beautiful is this color by the way inter of the pros of this small size flap is that it is extremely versatile so it transitions from day to evening seamlessly in my opinion during the day it can look a little bit more dressy but you can always you know pair this with a casual outfit and you can have it as a shoulder bag and just have the one long chain like so and you can rock it casually and you can actually wear this as a crossbody so you can be great for daytime it is also the cheapest technically classic bag apart from the minis which are technically not classic double flaps so out of the actual Chanel classic flap this is the smallest and also cheapest although there's not a huge difference in prices between the sizes it's still a difference so um you're looking at about seven thousand Australian dollars for this small one whereas the next size of which doesn't look all that different you're paying another thousand dollars which is a lot of money so that is a pro in my opinion as I'll show you in a minute I do also think that the small does look the best out of the four classic flaps as a crossbody the chain length is technically the same as a medium but because the triangle is longer when you sort of look at this as a triangle and the grommets are closer together you do have a little bit of an extra length as opposed to the medium and because the bag is slightly smaller it does look better as a crossbody so I do think that the small is more versatile even than the medium and the other Pro is it is a pretty lightweight bag considering it is a full leather bag and it has all that hardware now for the cons I'd say that there's not a huge difference between how much you can fit in one of these small flaps and a rectangular mini because of the extra flap so our capacity is not all that great for a bag that is meant to be a little bit bigger than the mini and that cost you know a lot more than the mini so if you are someone who needs to pack a little bit more you pretty much can only fit the same amount that you can fit in a mini bag another con is also the price point I did mention the price as a pro before but if you think about it I mean this is seven thousand dollar bank whereas a medium is eight thousand so a thousand is a lot but proportionally it's like you're paying another you know fifteen percent more but you do get two a slightly larger bag that has a lot more capacity can fit a little bit more so I do see that possibly working as a con as well but I actually really love these small size I would recommend the small size for someone who is more on the petite side so my bestie is actually smaller than me she's a little bit shorter and she has a very small frame so she's a very petite person so this size looks great on her she also has a medium size but even the medium sometimes looks a little bit beyond her so I would recommend the small for someone who's on the more petite side also I'd recommend the small for someone who doesn't need to pick a lot with them obviously the next size up would be the medium size this is my beige clear medium that I've had since 2016 so as you can see it's looking beautiful still and it's three years old I think the medium size is the most classic looking size out of all the sizes I'm pretty sure this is the size that Coco Chanel designed it does have a pretty good capacity it does fit a little bit more than what a small can hold but first the telling you is I think the two of them are quite first time in a very similar manner they both look really nice during the daytime but they're also both small enough to take out in the evening with dresses and whatnot so the both of them have the same price but the medium can fit a few more items because it is slightly larger and I just think that the medium size is quite suitable for anyone any size it's not too big and overwhelming on a smaller person but also if you're a taller lady this size still looks really proportionate on taller ladies as well so I do think that this is probably the best one-size-fits-all size out of all the classic flaps now for some cons it's hard to think of any cons but because it is a very very classic looking bag in a very classic size i do you think that sometimes you can look a little bit serious sorry this one doesn't dress down as easily as some of the other sizes in my opinion because of that more rectangular look I mean even compared to the small which they look very similar but the small is the less of a rectangle whereas the medium is longer and looks more like a rectangle so it does look a bit more formal and serious yes the minis are fun the Jumbo is bigger so you can dress casually really nicely but the medium I do find that it looks a little bit more dressy another corner with me the price point I mean there's only an inch difference between the two of them so the medium is an inch longer and you're pretty much paying another thousand dollars for that extra inch so if you're someone who doesn't need that little bit of extra space then it might actually be not a bad idea to go for the small one now the small is also very very hard to get a hold of because Chanel doesn't make as many small as the medium but if you can get a hold of one and if you're someone who doesn't need that extra inch of space then you know you can potentially save a thousand dollars by going for the small so that could act as a con because the medium doesn't have all that much more capacity so who do I recommend the medium for absolutely everyone as I mentioned before I think that if you're unsure you just can't go wrong with this medium size it is pretty much a fail proof size if you're unsure just good for the medium and you just can't go wrong with it next up we have the jumbo size which is the largest size I've got here to show you it is my older Chanel bag it was my very first nail bag and I think it is the most beautiful statement bag now an obvious pro to the jumbo is that it can fit so much I can literally fit everything that I need on a day-to-day basis or I can actually use it as an everyday bag the capacity is quite good so if you have a look inside even with the double flap the space is quite be got some paper stuffing in there so that is definitely a pro and you can dress it casually really really well and I think the versatility isn't as good as the medium and the small but the versatility is still there you can carry it during the day but you can also dress it up for the evening the only time that you probably won't be able to take the jumper out would be if you are going to a very formal event like a black-tie event where you would go for a smaller handbag but other than that you can take it out to bars and you know in the evening no problem so jumbo for my lifestyle still works really well and it has enough versatility for me and another pro you could say that this is the value-for-money bag because it does cost about $900 more than the medium but you get so much more material for the extra $900 and like I mentioned before it is probably the best statement bag because it has that larger presence the corner of this bag would be that it is not as versatile like I've mentioned before as the medium or the small it is not as easy to take this out on an evening if you are looking to take it to a more formal event and also the other thing is it is pretty heavy it is a heavier bag because it is larger it's got all that chain and the chain is much thicker on the Jumbo so the small/medium and the minis all have the same change width so if you compare the chain on the Jumbo and the medium you can see an obvious difference in the width of the chain so all the other smaller sizes have this sort of a chain whereas a jumbo in the maxi have this thicker strap which makes them heavier and obviously because it is a full leather bag and a larger bag it is on the heavier side I mean it doesn't stop me from wearing the bag I'm not that sensitive to weight of the bags if I like the bag no matter how heavy I'll still wear it unless it's like it's so heavy that I can't carry yet um even then this is not a massive massive bag so for me weight isn't an issue but for someone who may be a little bit more sensitive to the weight of the bag this may be effective to consider I mean the other con is that if you are very petite on some people the jumper size does look a little bit overwhelming sometimes the bags a little bit too big for certain frames for me I'm not very tall but I think that the bag looks great on me still so I'm not a massive issue but on some people who are smaller than me you might actually find this bag a little bit overwhelming like my best to be smaller than me she feels like the jumper is too big on her frame the other thing to consider is that because it is a larger bag you are more prone to bumping into things with it it is a larger boxy bag so when you just wear it and carry it around you're more bound to bump into things so you could stay that the bigger bags can wear a little bit faster on the corners and that mine is wearing quite well considering it's 5 years old but that is a point to consider and the last con that I'm going to talk about is that because the chain length is quite long when you use it as a Google chain this bag would be a little bit too long on most people who are not super tall to wear as a crossbody I consider it exclusively a shorter bag because that chain drop is perfect for me so who would I recommend the jumbo size for I'd say someone like me who would use this during the day and for dinners and more casual nights out then needing a bag for like tie events all the time so if you have a very similar lifestyle to me where you're going out a lot during the day shopping lunches you know catching out with friends in the evening you can still go to fancy restaurants with that but you don't necessarily have a lot of events in your life where you actually need a very formal looking bag then I think the Jumbo has enough versatility for your lifestyle and I would actually recommend this size for someone who's my size or larger I think I'm the absolute sort of minimum size to pull up the jumper size but that's just in my opinion if you love the size go for it but those will be my recommendations and the factors that I would consider and the largest size in the classic flat range would be the maxi I've seen the maxi in stores but I haven't tried it on because I never considered their size for me because I just thought the Jumbo was speaking up for me but I'm assuming that you know some of the pros of the maxi would be that it is a larger bag you can fit a lot in it as I can in the Jumbo another Pro would be a very similar approach to what I talked about with the Jumbo it has a lot of presence because it is a bigger bag so it works as a really nice statement for your outfit and what I've heard about the maxi is that the strap length is a little bit shorter than the strap length on the Jumbo so you can actually wear it as a crossbody bag and it doesn't come to lawyer so that's another point if you do like to wear it as a crossbody bag but in my opinion jumbo size and up they're just a little bit too big to wear as crossbody bags anyway I wouldn't like to wear three sized bags as a crossbody so I would never really wear these size bags as crossbody bags but if you don't mind wearing them cross body then maxi is a better alternative than the Jumbo in terms of strap length in terms of the cons I say it is very very expensive I mean there's about $700 difference between the jabra and the maxi here in Australia so the jumper at the moment is almost nine thousand Australian dollars when I bought it it was definitely not $9,000 but the maxi is something like nine thousand six hundred and something although the difference is not that messy proportionally in my mind the maxi is almost ten thousand dollars sorry that is a massive corn I don't think I can physically pay nine thousand six hundred dollars for a Chanel classic flap back because I know what they used to cost that's just me but it is definitely a con and I'm assuming that the Mex you'll be quite happy and it could be even heavier than my jumbo and I'm thinking very similar to the jumbo it may not be the most appropriate back to take out on a fancy evening out so that is another thing to consider if you ask someone who has a lot of evening events then makes is also probably not the best fit for you but as I mentioned before if any of you do own the maxi or have owned it in the past and have more experience Bieber please share that in the comments below so if someone is considering the maxi flap then hopefully your comments will be helpful for them the modeling shots I'm gonna show you the two minis first side-by-side so you can compare the sizes on my body frame and also the chain drop as well and then I'll show you the three larger classic sizes together after this so if you have a look at the square mini the strap drop is a lot higher so as you can see my hips just right here and the square mini is the perfect job for me as a shorter bag I think it hits right at the hip bone net whereas if you have a look at the rectangular mini it does drop a little bit lower so he does hit me on the high thigh area I don't mind this tree much but I do prefer the square drop length as a shoulder bag and now I'm wearing them as crossbody bags so as you can see the square meets quite high whereas the rectangular mini in this case does look a little bit better as a crossbody bag but because I'm not very tall I'm only a hundred and sixty four centimetres tall I think the square meters work for me as across funny as well now on to three classic double flaps firstly you can see all of them worn a shorter bags that one strapped as you can see the Jumbo has the lowest strap drop and it does sit very comfortably and the medium and the small have a very similar drop length and they both see just under the armpit so this looks quite fun in my opinion and now I'll show you the three of them on a single strap on a shorter bags as you can see the jumper is way too long the small and the medium look quite good as a single stretched shoulder bags as well now on to the what fits in this bag section I've got the largest one here first which is the Jumbo which is the largest one in my collection so obviously this is gonna fit the most and I'll show you progressively what things I had to leave out to change into each of the smaller sizes now I think you can still fit a few more items in there but this is more than enough for me I couldn't think of anything else to put in this or if you've got other items that you want to fit on top of these things I'm sure you can so first of all I've got some sunglasses I've got my leave it on six key hold on I've got the Emmis bestir coin purse I've also got a full sized wallet from Louboutin this is the Emily wall there and then I've got the mini Pichette and it's got all my makeup touch-up needs and band-aids and little things that I need to carry around that is the main compartments empty and it comfortably fits my iPhone a 70 plus so that is the overview of everything that fit in the Jumbo now I have the medium/large yeah this is really soft at the moment so I actually don't recommend putting it this many things in the medium fight but I just want to show you if you wanted to really feel a full that you can't fit this much so I've had to still leave out the sunglasses and the coin pouch so everything else that was in the jumper are in there so we've got the six key pouch the mini Pichette with all the money and the full sized wallet and the iPhone 7 plus and that is everything empty and I would actually not recommend using a full-size wallet in this bag so what I normally do I still carry around the mini Pichette the six key hold on and instead of the full-size wallet I'll either go with a compact wallet or a card holder so I'll quickly show you how about all fits so instead of the full-size wallet I stopped out into a card holder and the coin pouch and everything just fits a lot more comfortably in there in this size everything else still fits the same now we have the small size now from this size down I actually wouldn't recommend using a mini per share in this because as you can see the mini pusher pretty much takes up the whole space in this mini and the same is true for the rectangular and square minis so the mini pro chef does fit in this one and the mini bags but you pretty much can't fit anything else maybe in this one you can still put a couple of little things around but definitely not your phone and a card holder so I'm gonna leave the mini push it out from here now one more thing that I wanted to show you with the small size is whether a full sized wallet would fit in there and my particular one which is the Emily wallet from Louboutin does fit but bear in mind the Emily wallet is a slimmer more compact full-size wallet but that is the largest one that I've got in my collection so I just use that one as reference so sliema full-size wallet would fit in there and you can still fit your phone in there but you pretty much have no room for anything else maybe you can still stick in a lipgloss and a little hand cream but definitely no room for six keyholes out or anything next up is the rectangular mini as you can see behind the bag I've had to leave out the sunglasses full-size wallet mini Pichette and the six key holder instead I've just got my key fob inside on its own because the six key holder just does not fit in here with everything else that I need to carry so to show you what's in there that is how much I've got in there I've got the best year card holder little hand cream and the lipstick and I've just got my car key on it's orange I don't really care in house keys because I do have a touch pad entry and I've got my iphone 7 plus again so everything they're just it's really comfortably and lastly the square mini fits the exact same amount except with the plus-size iPhone or the Maxis iPhone it is a bit tighter to get it in and out because of the smaller length of the bag nevertheless it does fit so there is my iPhone 7 plus first year card holder hockey and the lipstick and the mini hand cream and that is everything now let's talk about the color so Chanel does a lot of different colors every season for these classic flat bags the only permanent color that they do is the black at the moment up until a few years ago they used to do true colors in the permanent color range and that was the black and the beige clear but now even the beige clay is considered a seasonal color so black is the only one that you can get at any time but as for all of the other colors every season Chanel has six seasons in a yum every season they do a different color so if you're after certain color say you're after a certain shade of red then you just need to keep waiting to check out what colors they come up with every season maybe have a sales associate that you work with who can you know send you photos and let you know what colors are coming the next season's yeah so pretty much you do need to wait until she no produces the exact color that you're after and sometimes you could be using these in years that you need to wait and a lot of the times if you miss a color that you really liked then you probably won't be able to get that for a long time so unless you're going for a black if you're going for any of the other colors and you come across the color that you really like then you know my recommendation is to just get it when you can and when it comes to deciding on what sort of colors you should go for I think it depends on a lot of factors if it is your first Chanel bag then of course a lot of people might just want to go for a more safe classic color that wears well so the black like I did or a color that will go with a lot of things in your wardrobe so if you're someone who you know it has a very neutral wardrobe I don't think it really matters what color you go for because a lot of the neutral outfits will suit a lot of differ color bags but if you have a specific color palette that you generally tend to go for in your wardrobe then obviously you would go for a bag that will work with your color palette in your wardrobe personally my color choices depend a little bit on the size of the bag as well so if I'm going for a larger size bag I tend to go for more neutral colors because the pops of colors look a little bit overwhelming on a larger size if I am going for a pop of color I do prefer the smaller sizes and that is why I went for this color when I went for the rectangular mini because it is a small size bag for my preference I do like pop of color to be in a smaller bag and also I do like to go for darker bags when it's larger obviously it is up to you but this is just something to think about larger bags are more prone to wear because like I mentioned you bump into more things and you tend to add more casually this is not a set rule but that's generally what happens so I do tend to go for darker bags when I am going for a larger sized bag that are easier to maintain that I don't have to worry about marking up an you know color transfer and all that and also the darker colors have the illusion of looking a little bit smaller so you know how you wear darker upbeats you look slimmer same sort of thing I noticed with bags the Jumbo in a lighter color looks a lot bigger than the Jumbo in a black color or darker color and vice versa when I'm going for a smaller bag then I am more open to go for a lighter color that I might need a baby because the smaller bags are easier to manage you can keep it close to your body so that it doesn't bump into things and also the smaller bags I tend to use them a little bit more dressy and formal so that helps not wearing it so fast as well once you know what size you want and what color you want then you need to make a decision on the hardware color so for example this particular mini has the light gold hardware whereas my jumbo has the yellow gold hardware and I also have silver Hardware on my other square mini so the most common colored Hardware that Chanel does on these classic flat bags are gold and silver but they've started doing a lot of the champagne gold color which is this lighter gold that I've just shown you on my rectangular mini and seasonally they do other types of hardware so they do gunmetal which is the dark Raye rustic-looking kala hard web they also do brushed finish on gold crushed finish on silver so every season they do a lot of different finishes and colors on the hardware and they even do black hardware very dark gray metal so on black bags they call it so blacks or the leather will be black and hardware's black and that combination is very highly sought after so there's an array of hardware colors that you can choose from as well so when you're trying to decide what hardware color to go for I think the biggest consideration would be if you are a person who mixes metals or if you're someone who likes to be matchy matchy with the metals and your jewelry so for me I don't mind mixing metals sorry doesn't really matter if I'm going for a silver or gold or like gold or you know gunmetal because it really doesn't bother me when I mix metals between my bracelets earrings and all that I mean I obviously wouldn't go crazy and have all different colors but if there's a little bit of a difference here and there I don't mind but you might be someone who wants to go all gold or all silver in an our feedback so you would consider what sort of coloring you do prefer if you've got in your jewelry collection a lot of gold jewelry pieces then you might want to go for the gold or if you're someone who goes for silver and white gold a lot then you probably go for the silver hardware or in my opinion the best happy medium would be the light coat like I showed you before so the light gold I think is light enough that it doesn't really clash with the silver jewelry but it is still technically gold so it does have that little bit of a yellowish coloring to it sorry this lighter gold does in my opinion go well with either way and the other thing to consider if you are like me and you don't mind mixing metals is what sort of look you're going for so I think the silver looks a little bit more modern it's a little bit more chic it's a little bit simpler and more casual and it can sometimes look a little bit more youthful so if I'd go for the silver if I'm looking for a more casual bag and if that particular bag I wanted to look a little bit more modern and simple whereas the gold looks a lot more classic and it does look a lot more luxurious in my opinion so if you're going for that vibe and you want to go very very classic then I mean the gold has that's five so it is entirely up to you but they are the things that I would think about now let's talk about the leathers and materials that these bags come in so most commonly no we'll do the lambskin so smooth lambskin and caviar leather which is pebbled calf skin so these two letters are the most common letters that they will make this classic flat magazine but seasonally again they do a lot of different types of leathers and fabrics so they do a smooth calf skin which looks a little bit more like the smooth lambskin but is a little bit harder the lambskins very very soft I've also seen lamb caviar sore it is a little bit softer than the calf caviar but also pebbled they also do aged calf skin which is a little bit more like the leather on my reissue bag so it's got little wrinkles on it and I've also seen them do goat skin as well and from time to time they do tweet they also do canvas material denim there are a whole array of different materials that they produce these classic flat bags in each season as well and also in terms of the pattern they do this sort of quilted pattern and they also do the chevron pattern as well so you also can choose between their type of quilting and sometimes they do a classic look with no quilting at all just a very plain leather classic flap as well so in terms of the material it really depends what you like but if you are someone who wants a more carefree bag then I'll definitely recommend the caviar which is the general consensus the only thing is with the caviar it is definitely more scratch resistant but if you do make a scratch it is very very difficult to buff it out whereas on the lambskin although it is more scratch prone even if you get a little surface scratch you can literally use a buffing cloth that they give you and buff it out and the scratch goes away quite easily so it is easier to condition the lambskin and also I found that the caviar leather has were scorned away so I don't know if you can see this one here but a little bit of the leather has rubbed away on that corner there that is the worst corner the other corners are actually fine whereas the lamps in bags don't tend to get that sort of corner where this bag is perfect energies also about three years old so although caviar is generally a tougher bag it doesn't mean that the caviar is invincible you still need to take good care of it I'm sorry I think it really comes down to what sort of look you're going for I do actually these days prefer the look of the lambskin it is a lot softer to touch it does feel a lot more luxurious so if you're doing like this sort of textured leather obviously go for the caviar but if you are like me and you do prefer the soft plush leather then I think you will just really love the lambskin and as for the other materials I don't have too much experience with them and I think it is common that people go for either the lambskin and the caviar skins so again if any of you out there earned any of the other materials I'd love to hear your experience with the other materials and leathers so do share them in the comments below so there is everything that I wanted to talk to you about personal classic flat bags if you've got any questions about any of these bags do leave them in the comments below I will try
