thanks for stopping on our channel which is dedicated to central heating and as you can see i've been doing this a long time whether you install or you have heating hopefully my videos will make a difference but please leave me a comment in the section below lights action camera let's begin have you got a stuck pump or a noisy pump yeah this short video will show you how to get the machine up and running the pump obviously very important and also how to finally solve the problems before we begin we need to get prepared and first thing we're going to look at is we need a can no not that can this can that's airspray because we need to clean the front of the pump out once we replace the screw then we need this can wd-40 just a smidgen to put inside here and in the back because the noise is either here or is it the front so we just want a little bit of wd-40 and then we need a lubricant so we need some spray silicon and silicon paste have a listen so first of all where we've got the pump inside the boiler a combi system in other words there are new rules started from the 1st of january 2022 about replacing this for an erp approved pump motor so there's all changes going on in 2022 and basically what was going to happen is that goes out and probably a ups3 comes into its place because that's the direct replacement so first of all the first stage of this is going to be depressurized as i said in the other video never remove that screw when the boiler is full of water at least one bar because it's going to jam at the front and when we un do that silver screw at the front we're going to do the next stage which is going to be some air to clean out the dust because it's seized up or it's running slow the first part of this process is going to be removing some of the dust that could be seizing up here and the close-up of the screw and the inners as it were so we don't want to touch the screwdriver in there because of that damage so first of all all we're going to do is get a a bit of air and clean it out and then with our wd-40 we're just going to spray a little bit here inside it all the way inside there to start the process of cleaning it out because we all know wd40 is a really good degreaser and then we can put the screw back in again and just leave it while that's working we can now start removing the pump and working on the next bit which we can do on the bench so now i've got the pump motor the head on my workbench first thing i'm going to do after i remove the screw is just put a very small amount of wd-40 here and then put the screw back again just to make sure it goes in nice and tightly and then i'm going to put a drop wall down the back because the noise either from the back or the front or both so i'm going to do same again i'm just going to spray a little bit of wd-40 here and just give it a second or two or a minute for that to penetrate down and then see if i can just turn this because don't do it from the front it'll crack we can tell whether it's loose or not just from the back because if that moves and we can double check it very easily by removing the screw again and then just observing that when we turn the back the front also moves and that wd-40 will take a few seconds to do so we can put another a drop in it and just to keep it going a little bit more to get that goodness that this machine this can does about cleaning out and degreasing once we've done that we go into our lubricating stage so we can see with the photographs how bunged up this front was at the beginning so next thing we're going to need is we're going to need some silicon spray and silicone paste so the paste goes on the front so where we got our screw all we do is put a small full stop of silicone paste onto there put it back into the pump and just leave it so we just screw that packet again and then on this side we spray lots of silicon down into the gaps and all around here because this is waterproof so it's very good for stopping muck and rubbish so if you do have lots of that you're definitely going to put some more inhibitor in which is going to be our favorite f2 boiler silencer but after you've sprayed it just see if you can just turn it a little bit sort of clockwise anti-clockwise and there might be some sounds may not be but as long as this goes in and a bit more silicon spray loads and loads and loads of it on here just to get it up and running and we're checking on this side that it's free and that job is now complete we can put it back into the pipes or inside the combi boiler fill up in the normal way and don't forget just to crack open this screw just to let a teardrop of water come out because we don't want the spoon to shoot out or not once we're happy that that's done we can then just close it and that's the end it's a nice simple repair and gets people out of trouble whether it's seized up or not but basically the ultimate solution is we're going to replace this one for the latest version from grumpos and that's likely to be as i said earlier a ups3 but check with the boiler manufacturer because it could be a so always check with the factory the latest version of the pump that you'll want to replace it with so this problem doesn't happen but i hope this video has helped you a lot and gets you out of trouble [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music]
