okay how many people are in this because I love it how many people are just how many well how many people are here because the parents have told him they had to do something wrong or else so check this out imma give you some game alright something really quick okay check this out what's this number okay so this is students right I had 1,000 students 1000 students okay there's gonna be 100 of you that actually make have a career in this and you're talking about maybe 30 to 50 K a year okay out of that hundred that's a decent that's a decent career better piece of out of working in the market I'm just sorry for my language but I have to get to real alright so out of the 100 there's gonna be 10 that actually really make it we're talking an study 5k is like a hundred okay okay that's that's where we're the hairdresser's from my salon warm feet okay this is where I'm one of target most of my employees okay out of the ten there's gonna be one of you that actually make just me don't put it like that we're talking in 150k to know what's the highest or like maybe four twenty five to two millions could be unlimited okay now when I was going around when that was presented for me and this is still the hard facts okay would that was presented to me what do you think I said I was gonna be right right this was this was who I thought this was me what I thought when I got out of school I was I was barely here but inside I was I was here I'm still thinking this right I've been out of school maybe twenty years so my career you're looking at what I'm doing now but that's all fruit that I've gone through don't get it twisted don't think oh man he did it's it's right around the corner I'm getting out of school to uh celebrities okay one question who's doing celebrities now nobody really well when I was here you guys do like it doesn't see your sister okay so check it out listen listen listen when I was here Asus these these older ladies right listen let's call it mature ladies it's in the salon your wife interesting especially when you get paid like this alright so they should have a man right and I was sitting I just got on the floor and I'm standing myself oh no this lady's coming in and we're talking these ladies we're coming out of this bus like like I mean I'm talking cobwebs right here and talking about you know it's been six weeks we're getting I'm here today yay hadn't watched in six weeks right so we're talking like students fresh on the floor that's all you heard on the floor okay so anyways one girl walks up and we're all just sitting in a bad way I didn't call my name they're gone and this girl next to me you know I forgot her name Denise do you have a client oh my god there she comes with Frankenstein I'm not trying to be mean but but this was how we looked at it as students sat her down never even talked to a person before right she regards even her scalp treatment boy son all you heard was we're like what what hell was that she pulled over and I push this who is in there's cottage cheese all over her I was like oh that's not my career I need not now not ever so what I did was I had to think of a master plan this is where your us creative people can can bust a move actually okay I went to the freshmen floor and there was a chick that actually liked me right and her bob was swinging I don't know where she got her hair done but it was just amazing so I went up there and I was like you know what I'm gonna go ask her to be my model because we used to have these cutteth bombs in the in the main area during like lunch people would pay like three bucks to get their hair cut you just bring you you know your scissors and you're calm in that's all you were allowed to but I wanted to I want first of all I wanted to learn ethnic hair because I saw back then that was gonna be the future everybody's gonna get straightened everybody's gonna have I mean even little blonde chicks on the beach have like curly hair right here and I was thinking if I can master the curly is hair the Macy Gray then I can do anybody right so I thought to myself when I when I was a student a Saturn set her down took this chick who actually liked me I pinned her hair although I took a oven down there an oven like what's an oven you know I mean like down in the Student Center and I started blowing and pulling hair down to blowing it you know pretending like I was doing house she was done she got up and that's that hair this one right so everybody I'm talking away everybody was amazed so then I started poking everybody while everybody else had Frankenstein I had a super models in at school rollin uh lowball players girls their mom a slant at that moment creative creative creative get that so you guys got to realize you know it's not just about doing hair so hope balance of this whole this whole game were trying to get into okay and if you want to be even close to anywhere in these two categories it's going to be creative business not just creative hair okay one thing we practice in this lawn it's not how interesting you look it's how just as you are if you have more color in your hair and then your client does then you're probably one of the hairdresser's sitting around guys get that yeah right okay so all I'm saying is I do Fashion Week boom nutty right crazy okay twenty six chicks we're talking in 12 shows 12 to 13 shows up every day you know all week long you're going from one show to the next where there's a team of like 12 6 to 12 of us we're talking we all do the hair on three three hours to do 27 and 35 girls and then um like three changes in between so like literally you're backstage and you're touching up here they're taking off their clothes or titties are hitting you in the face it's just amazing to do the Armani shows with Oribe you guys know before Vegas okay so literally it was they asked me to go two days before my plane ticket was $5,000 and then when I got there I having get some worse day right carry my bags all over the place and not one cent because of these all right yeah okay so I I get there I meet mr. Armani how many people have you maybe thought our money was real he's like Mickey Mouse just as close you see this character you hear about him he's this mystic guy you know but here he comes walking up man like that's mr. online that's like in a dream right because he's changed the world as we know it fashion so to speak so I'm just singing myself dang I made it yeah you know like like literally I had to fly myself here so don't trip if you have to pay something still paying something and at the level I'm trying to function you know what I mean they're talking you're paying a lot but the return is a main your the investment now you're the you're the stop that nobody else is gonna invest in until you start showing them guys get that who's the stop exactly okay so whatever that takes so then you got to realize you know after I came back from the Armani shows literally I charged three hundred dollars an hour not a haircut not a touch-up not a partial highlight charge $300 an hour so then how long do you think it take me to go to the next online shows you got think when I'm on set doing a commercial or like you know a Revlon ad or whatever we're talking here comes out a very her hair is super short I blow dry it flat on a few pieces $5,000 so all I'm trying to tell you the more creative you go is for equity confidence amazing the less creative you going more commercial you get paid that's why us freelancers have to be in the cinema does get that just know that and we're talking 20 years deep my roots are deep you know I've been going through so many things and you know established a lot of relationships with record companies so every new artist that comes out I always get first dibs on from like I have a couple artists on the voice right now last season it was a voice I've done like four of the winners of America coming in American Idol album covers you know for the first 60 that was the America's top model makeover a guide so you know by one of my first celebrities that ever met I was I think 21 they asked me to do this photo shoot I walk in and there's a swagger establish his butt naked I made it I thought I made it then and then Stan knows she's 17 years old and she tells me she wants to be a supermodel and I was like whatever that means back in the day when I was coming up there's a Super Six you guys didn't know these references because a lot of photographers a lot of people reference them the Super Six was all the supermodels talking Linda Evangelista Cindy Crawford you know all those girls Naomi Campbell there were six of them that actually that made fashion all the photographers in the world branded with these girls okay and the supermodel created a standard right now there's a lot of models but you don't see him constantly there's a couple by um what's her name Alessandra she's big you know there's a few there's a few names but they're not as big as than these supermodels so when she came to me and I walked into the shoot she was like I'm gonna be a super moms like all right cool 17 years old fresh off the runways in Paris two years later she gets a covergirl deal and she's and her name is Tyra she turns into Tyra Banks so since she was 17 years old everything she's ever done amazing I've been a part of coming up with America's Top Model to whatever so that's why I'm asking you guys now if you guys aren't treating your clients like stars now how are stars going to hear about you guys get that that's the value you got to have about your business it's amazing because not everybody has that training we come from humble beginnings obviously you know we all don't have as much money as we want but but if you start treating people like amazing regardless if they're stars or not what's going to happen then there are money status is going to act coming up because people are gonna start hearing about and then possibly because of the relationships you build you might like he's talking about how he got in you might run into somebody says hey I know this girl she's not become actors I want you to cut her hair off same deal I did this make them I was I was the up-and-coming hairdresser and you know they used to hire me because I was cheap five hundred bucks for the day and then they'd had the five thousand dollar makeup artist dependent know if the artist was ugly or whatever they would spend the money so there's so many artists music people aren't the prettiest people in your but they're talented so what they do is they usually get the top makeup artists and then the hairdresser that can wing it and I was that hairdresser so this makeup artist says hey I have this friend let's cut her hair off alright I'll do it go to a house to come this girl comes down our stairs she's cola brown skin and she walks up she's like hi I'm Hallie two years there she's Halle Berry eighteen years later I'm Jim $5,000 day if you're not treating people like stars now you never start the numbering at interpreting because get that who knows who's gonna sit in your chair I'm just telling you what's real and in that base we all group went down grew down create our base in our season we turn the green and then we started at their fruit now talking twenty years later were knocking down the industry so from people like pink I did I started her Charlize Theron I mean we're talking all the way down lying from Missy Elliott to mary j blige Chris Brown with Justin arsalan so so I did Chris Brown's a blonde I mean like literally it's all across the board yeah okay
