Cedar Point Vlog (May 2024) | Day 1

and a very good morning from America's roller coast you're watching Adventure planet where I'm here today at Ceda point a park that opened back in 1870 sits on 364 acres of land and is owned and operated by cedir here on a peninsula in Ohio of Lake eie it's an absolutely fantastic Park this it's so great to be back 17 coasters here along with a variety of flat rides for all the a number of coaster records have been set at this park in the past and we'll touch on those as we go through this video and talking of coasters there are some absolute world class attractions at this park steel Vengeance Val Raven Millennium Force gatekeeper Maverick they're all here and they are all absolutely awesome cannot wait to get back in here and get on some of those rides and fortunately we have to talk about the elephant in the room which was the whole reason that I actually organized this trip Top Thrill 2 unfortunately I'm not going to get that this trip it is still closed as work under goes on the uh the trains for that ride and again we'll touch on a little bit of that as we get closer to top three or two a little bit later on in this video park hours today 10: a.m. through until 8:00 p.m. however I am staying at Cedar Point's Express Hotel so we do get an hour's early entry into the park so it's 9:00 a.m. through until 8:00 p.m. that's 11 hours of riding which is absolutely awesome two Vlogs coming up from here today and tomorrow as we've got a two-day uh journey through uh Ceda Point checking out any changes that have happened since I last came here it's going to be absolutely brilliant weather's looking a little bit iffy though so uh hopefully it holds on us holds off on us uh with the storms and the rain kind of threatening us a little bit over the next couple of days but we'll make the most of it even if it does turn a little bit nasty let's head on in and get started let's make a beline for gatekeeper and just before you get to those entrance turn Styles you've got this glorious Plaza area here really wellmaintained with an absolutely brilliant photo opportunity right here with the Cedar Point sign and gatekeeper in the background oh absolutely iconic entrance love it and yeah like I say this park opened back in 1870 so in 2020 it celebrated its 150th year and they got a nice piece of signage out the front of the carousel here which looks really good and another nice ferow opportunity and speaking of that Carousel this is the Midway Carousel opened here in 1946 it's actually a Daniel Muller ride which is one of only two remaining in the world it was built in 1912 it's actually the oldest operational ride here at the park and I got to say it looks great not quite open yet obviously this will open at 10:00 along with the rest of the park but it does look absolutely awesome and then some sign is just on the building out the front there you go cp1 1870 and also here on the main Midway you've got ocean motion little swinging ship there as we make our way down towards like I say gatekeeper you got Point Plaza just onto the right the main gift shop here just as you make your way back towards the exit of the park French Quarter Confections get all your funnel cakes elephan ear I'm not sure I fancy one of those Jack aldrid theater there a there's Raptor in the background as well B&M invert and of course you got the little cable cars here as well well which take you down um not not quite all the way to the end of the park they do save your legs a bit on this kind of main Midway yeah like I say 364 Acres this park is sat on and it's almost 364 Acres kind of straight down really it's an absolutely huge Park got your Starbucks off to the right yeah look at that yeah we'll get a ride on those cable cars a little bit later on show the views from above ah some absolutely awesome rides at this park and it's you know it's pretty clear when you come here why most coaster enthusiasts the world over regard this as one of the best amusement parks in the world if not the best it is absolutely amazing little game stores over on the right there like I said a lot of this is all closed up until 10:00 and it's not just the park for Thrill Seekers either there are there's plenty here for the kids as well you got Kitty Kingdom which we can see just in front here there are two other areas as well with a couple of Junior coasters as well that we'll uh we'll get on Raptor look at that love the color scheme really nice kind of greeny blue color and the good thing is as well as a as as part of my stay at the uh Cedar Point Express Hotel I do actually get free uh drinks all throughout today got a free drink wristband free Cokes all throughout the day which is really good because it is expensive here for food and drink that is worth pointing out and at the moment the weather is absolutely glorious feels nice and warm there's the Power Tower just over the back there and yeah there's Kitty Kingdom looking all nice and colorful yeah you got the other two areas that are kind of based on Snoopy which we'll take a look at a little bit later as well and just to the right here yeah this has changed a little bit since I was last here Funway arcade and mirror here yeah you got Max Air here and the big wheel but then just behind that is where Wicked Twister used to be and I now believe it's a uh Grand Pavilion kind of Cafe as Max Air begins testing for the [Music] day oh love the sound of [Music] it and yeah like I say this is going to be the first of two Vlogs here from Ceda [Music] point it is uh I expect it will be pretty quiet over the next couple of days I am here on a Tuesday and a Wednesday and I think with the closure of Top Thrill 2 as well it's going to kind of affect Park attendance a little bit which is good for me I am still going to come away from this trip with a plus one though hopefully as there is a new coaster down that way that opened last year wild mouse and yeah there you go that's uh that's open yeah it is worth noting that if you do come down here uh and you get early entry there's only a select few rides that are actually open during that first hour gatekeeper wild mouse Iron Dragon and Millennium Force are the four coasters that are actually available there's a couple of flat rides as well but yeah it's worth noting that you can't get on the entire park uh with that early entry but yeah look at that Grand Pavilion and Cafe yeah this is where Wicked Twister used to be wow it looks like WindSeeker operating today as well that is unusual it is pretty windy today I wasn't expecting that to be uh operating today but that's cool but here we are at gatekeeper and look at this signage again ah why can't we do this kind of stuff back in the UK look at that absolutely phenomenal love it welcome back sir and I have just got off my ride then from gatekeeper the 2013 Wing coaster here at Ceda point and is it still my favorite Wing coaster in the world absolutely 100% I love it to bits it set wind coaster records when it opened here back in 2013 and I'll tell you what it's the views that make it I was sat on the left side of the train you get the views over Lake eie the car park as you go above the entrance Plaza to the park and then as you come back around you get some good views of Ceda Point itself as well I think it's a fantastic ride it's nice and comfortable 170 ft 67 mph and six inversions on there and some of the elements are brilliant the near Miss ones especially especially around your legs it kind of makes you feel like you really need to lift your legs up with all the kind of iron fencing that you go over I think it's brilliant it's an iconic ride here it's the ride that you see as soon as you come into that main entrance to the park and I think it's going to be my favorite wind coaster for a long time to come absolutely awesome ride and from gatekeeper then we got a nice little troa flat ride here these are quite fun actually they kind of feel much like a travent ride on when you're actually riding them and they look the part as well yeah really nice that as we move on from gatekeeper and it's awesome signage yeah really love all this blue color scheme I think it's great as we head down this way to get my plus one for this year we're going to head on to the wild mouse this is a zampera spinning wild mouse it opened last year and there it is right in front of us got the big wheel off to the left here and yeah like I say this is the uh twostory Cedar Point Grand Pavilion standing on the site once occupied by Wicked Twister yeah that actually closed back in 2021 it was one of inman's impulse coaster models which we actually rode flash Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great America the other day check that Vlog out if you've not seen it already but yeah this looks quite nice actually yeah it looks quite good the Landscaping all the planting out the front and yeah I mean Wicked Twister as I said in the Six Flags Vlog They Don't Really offer much anymore they're kind of an old ride now so much better roller coasters here at Ceda point I think it was time for it to go yeah this seems like a nice replacement for it yeah it looks good yeah look at this love the signage WindSeeker has been going today but uh I've not seen it going up the tower for a while now so they might have closed it possibly got a little too windy it is pretty windy today very Breezy look at the queue for this here wild mouse yeah like I say it opened last year 20123 all the mice on the front there Ziggy zaggy dizzy Maisy Chase Larry W there they are yeah we'll get a go on this like I say always good to get a plus one let's see what it's like not respons seated facing forward in an upright position and hold on until the car returns to the station keep all parts of your body inside the car at all times [Music] to [Music] [Music] and I just had my ride on wild mouse waited about 35 minutes and yeah you know what that was quite a fun ride there's a nice little horseshoe element in there and we got a good spin on that as well speeds of about 35 mph yeah it's good to get a plus one for that and theming it looks really good as well I like the cat at the top of the LIF Hill and of course all the carriages themed on the mice and the cheese yeah nice littleit to the park that and WindSeeker has been testing for the past probably 40 to 50 minutes right now I don't think the weather is ideal for this ride today it's good to see it at least in somewhat in operation as uh it's usually one of the rides that suffer the most downtime here at Cedar Point so hopefully I'll be able to come back and get a ride on this a little bit later on still testing it at the moment actually manufactured by Mond this one sits on the site where the demon drop used to be a long time ago and uh yeah this opened at CED the point back in 2011 It's 301 ft high and it offers some absolutely incredible views as I'm sure you can imagine and it looks the part as well it's actually one of the first of its kind it's just a shame it's uh not one of the most reliable rides here but yeah I'll see if I can come back and get a ride on that a little bit later on I'm going to head back across now now and get a ride on Raptor the B&M invert weather's still holding off at the moment which is good you got the Lakeside Pavilion just off to the ride there some of these buildings look great and going to cut through Planet Snoopy which like I say is one of the children's areas here along with Kitty's Kingdom nice little balloon ride there you've also got camps as well which is kind of the third children's area and that's where you'll find the two Junior coasters yeah like I say lots of rides for kids in this park it's not just all about the big thrill rides there you go there just a couple of them just here they all nice and colorful got the atomic Scrambler just to the left which you saw in the background when I was talking about wild mouse these pictures of Snoopy around yeah looking forward to getting back on Raptor like I say B&M invert it is a good ride nice and intense let's go and check the Q time and a little bit of off-ride footage there of Snoopy deep sea and I thought I'd just show you the rest of the rides that they've got here in Planet Snoopy got Snoopy Space Race there as well as the flying ace balloon race just over the back as well a couple of spinning rides there and just behind me here you've got peanuts Road Rally yeah this looks quite fun all the cars with their own names little track ride got Snoopy Express Railroad just through the back there a nice little backdrop with the waterfall yeah it's a nice little area this there he is over the back [Music] Snoopy and you got a nice little photo op just through here and character meet and greet here as well look look at that 12:30 130 3 4 and 5 weather permitting and wood stocks whirly Birds just through here as well like I say nice little area for the kids one of [Music] three all themed on Snoopy there you go and here we are at the entrance to Raptor then with a 75 minute wait yeah that's a lot more than I was expecting it is actually quite busy here today Sur surprisingly however I think I will take a risk on this hopefully it'll be a little bit quicker than that it's an absolute Classic this opened in 1994 and was the first invert to introduce the Cobra roll inversion let's get on and it is worth noting that if you do come to Cena Point don't do what I'm doing it's much better to start at the back of the park some kind of around Maverick steal Vengeance and work your way for us I mean that's kind of pretty much standard for most theme marks across the world but it does certainly apply here at Ceda point however I thought I'd take the risk with raptor 75 minutes advertised but I'm hoping that's going to be uh exaggerated a little bit we'll see it's a great ride there so like I say I'm here for 2 days so I can kind of take the risk with the slightly longer queue times as it ascends the lift Hill hey that's good to see you got some inline vending machines here let's join the Que [Music] the [Music] me and just had my ride on Raptor then and it's a great ride that it really is yes it's not going to threaten the likes of Monto or oziris as my favorite B&M invert but it is still great with some pretty solid elements in there six inversions and nice intense downwards Helix right towards the end of the ride which really does feel like it's just tearing your legs off oh she goes over that vertical Loop yes fantastic open back in 1994 as the longest fastest and tallest invert in the world and yeah 1994 has still got that Roar about it it' be interesting to see if this gets retracked at some point in its future still a great ride though here at Cedar Point from raptor though over to the oldest roller coaster at Cedar Point it's the wooden PTC Blue Streak let's go take a look so you think vict fing not allowed welcome back how was your ride yeah unbuckled [Music] and I just had an absolutely brilliant ride on Blue Streak then the oldest Coast here at Cedar Point opened back in 1964 so it's actually celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and yet you know what for a 60-year old wooden coaster it is pretty rough but it's rough in all the right places manufactured by PTC that one speeds of 40 m an hour and I'll tell you what you get some great views of both Raptor and gatekeeper as you go up that first lift Hill anyway from Blue Streak over to Val Raven now then let's go and check out this awesome dive coaster and let's get r on Val Raven then current we time 45 minutes hopefully that's overestimated as well Raptor was listed at 75 only waited 45 for Raptor so hopefully it's the same case here let's join [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Music] and I've just had an absolutely brilliant ride on Val Raven then and I got to say in my opinion this is the best dive machine that I've ridden I really do I think it's absolutely brilliant 223 ft 75 mph and it's got an absolutely glorious 165 ft imman and a fantastic airtime Hill as well that really gives some nice floater air time I think the layout is great I don't think it's quite as well themed if you like as something like shikra at Bush Gardens and I do think a nice splash down effect would really suit this but on the whole absolutely love Val Raven I think it's an absolute Beast of a ride and there she comes Val Raven [Applause] hey into that airtime Hill some good floater on that manufactured by bnm back in 2016 it opened here and yeah I do absolutely love the layout what I don't love though is the looks of some of those clouds over at the back there that's not looking great we are expecting some storms to Bubble Up within about half an hour or so which is a bit of a shame could have a little bit of disruption today but we'll deal with it coasters Diner right in front love these little cars out the front look at this Classics talking of Classics we've also got cork screw here as well look at that the Ceda Point Tower and good news is WindSeeker is actually in operation as well it has been for the past hour or so although if those storms are going to roll this way I suspect it's not going to be in operation for too much longer and look at this in Coaster's Diner you can actually get a lavender milkshake it's the milkshake of the week apparently no idea what that'll taste like could be interesting though but at $7.99 not even including tax it's a little bit expensive for a milkshake I think so I give that one a Miss hey and after that absolutely awesome ride on Val Raven it would be criminal not to get a ride on Cedar Downs here one of only three in the world one of only two here in the US manufactured by prior and church this open here has seed a point back in 1967 and of course we have our very own one of these back at pleasure Beach Resort Derby racer and these ones actually race and I believe that it's the only one of the three existing rides that actually do which is great yeah definitely be jumping on here before we move further on into Ceda point oh what a Greatful fun ride I just had there on Cedar down such a classic really do love those and look at this look how wellmaintained Cedar Point is it's just such a nice park really well maintained really pretty all the colors and all the flags as well looks really really nice I thought before I actually pushed forward further into Ceda point I figured I'd come back this way and grab a ride on the sky ride here little volon Sky Ride and we'll take it from here down to the west side of the park and get some views from up above and just above the sky Rod here this is very cute isn't it all the sparrows nesting up there absolutely loads of them very cute and up we go on the sky ride then yeah nice little uh comfy car that just allows you to get some absolutely awesome views oh look at gatekeeper there wow got views over the lake lake eie over there the big wheel hey and Raptor off to the left you got the marina there as well Blue Streak look at these views a raptor looking glorious hey this is well timed absolutely awesome there's so many absolutely brilliant rides here at this park both coasters and flat rides and it's important to remember as well that as much as it is an amusement park it is a full-on resort here there's four hotels and lots of activities to do actually away from the main Park as well over on the beach you can hire jet skis do Paras sailing all that kind of stuff and this allows you to just kind of appreciate how far back this park stretches as well right the way towards the back there where you've got steel Vengeance Maverick Val Raven off to the left here Millennium Force and we got Corp screw just here as well [Music] hey there's wild mouse and yeah it's all really well maintained this park it all looks really really nice all the planting The Greenery the Landscaping beautiful as we approach the wests side station here we go and look at this it's a nice Cadillac is it a Cadillac I think is the swell tones look at that hey oh there we are and we got the stage show for party with peanuts here I think this is just off to the right yeah this is really cool and you've got all the uh signs and Easter eggs for all the roller coasters here look Vengeance Labs gatekeeper competition calipers Magnum hyper fuel Val Raven oil Blue Streak over there Millennium fuel yeah that's all cool yeah I like that I think there's a variety of shows that actually happen on here but it's yeah it's quite a nice stage that as we head down towards Iron Dragon I figure we'll take a look see what the Q time is like for this little suspended Coast to this one yeah all that Lighting on there all the rigging very cool and here we are at Iron Dragon just off to the right yeah it's quite a fun ride this usually doesn't get a massive Q time there he is yeah really not liking the look of those clouds hopefully we'll get lucky and miss it but as is the case with American theme parks if there's a storm anywhere close in the area they do have to close the rid down that's just a 10minute wait for Iron Dragon let's jump on and look at the size of top TR two supports from here absolutely huge oh so disappointed I'm not getting it taking pictures a filming strictly on this ride that was for anything lost and they didn't quite get the Q time right for this one 10 minutes advertis took 25 but look at this it's like old school vampire at chesington still need two rows please and I'm just had my ride on Iron Dragon then and it looks as though I got on it just in time as this train has been stopped on the lift Hill at the back here for almost 15 minutes now I've been stood here waiting to get some off-ride shots doesn't look like I'm going to get them though we got a little bit of rain that's just started but it's nothing to do with that as all the other coasters are still running so yeah not quite sure uh what's up with that but yeah it's a good ride this 1987 it opened manufactured by aerodynamics it does ride very similar to vampire at our home park chesington world of adventures two LIF Hills on this one and it's got the original cars on this as well like what Vampire used to have when it before it was replaced with those voma trains in 2002 you get some really good swing on the cars on Iron Dragon though and this bit over the lake here is really really cool just before you head back into the station but yeah not going to be able to get any more off-ride shots on that little bit of a shame there goes rugaru in the background and of course right opposite here we've got Power Tower the SNS shot and drop tower opened here in 1998 yeah I do like this this structure is very cool like the way it kind of connects at the top with The Four Towers it looks good as well with the blue towers and the red ones yeah like I say opened in 1998 and it's a noisy one this you can hear all the air compressions from pretty much all over the park anyway I think it's time for me to go and grab some food now so I'm going to head back over to the coasters driveing and grab myself a [Music] snack and it's 5:00 in the afternoon now then so I thought I'd come back to the Coaster's Drive-In and grab myself some dinner I've gone for some fries and some chicken tenders and look at this it's not the lavender one but I've gone for a strawberry milkshake look at it's all dripping all over the edge there lots of cream on there and a nice Cherry um it is worth saying that if you are coming down to CED the point and you think that you're going to be having any more than one meal absolutely 100% purchase the all day Dining Plan for $33 um that works out at pretty good value for money every 90 minutes you can go in somewhere and grab yourself some food uh if like me though you're just getting the one meal it's extortionately expensive here this for the fries chicken tenders and the milkshake was $26 which works out at today's exchange rate around 2122 so it really really is expensive if I knew I was going to have more than one meal here today I would have absolutely got the all day Dining Plan however the milkshake looks absolutely delicious so I'm going to tuck in and then we'll head on further into to see the point and well it was only a matter of time before I had to come down to this area and stand in front of Top Thrill 2 knowing that I'm not going to be able to ride it I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hugely disappointed to be missing out on this ah it's an awful feeling of course I did ride this when it was top Trill dragster that opened back in 2003 and ran all the way to 2021 that was a a hydraulic launch coaster unfortunately there was an incident on that ride which resulted in its closure and back then we thought all of this was going to be completely removed however zampera came in and basically reimagined this ride with a new 420t Spike that you can see here and instead of it just accelerating to 120 M an hour to launch over that 420t Top Hat you now get a swing launch system using LSM 74 mph forwards you go partway up of the top hat before getting a roll back hitting the lsms again firing you backwards at 101 mph up to the top of that that absolutely huge Spike I mean look at it 420 ft then you come back and for the third launch it's 120 mph over over the top of that top hat and then back to finish and I was really looking forward to comparing just how this rid compared to top thr dragster obviously and it had a successful launch back in you know a few weeks ago now month or two ago now new for 2024 it was successful but then unfortunately a problem was found uh with I believe the wheels I believe they were wearing a lot faster than they had originally anticip ated so there is actually a carriage in the back here one of the trains as you can see here with all of its Wheels removed and uh yeah unfortunately this is going to be a while until this is back into action obviously those new Wheels have to be manufactured shipped over fitted and all testing basically has to start again before this ride can be uh properly commissioned to open so I think we're looking at probably July end of June July time I would like to think that they would they would like to get it open for the summer I suspect but it's certainly not going to be open during my visit and I am really disappointed about that but there we are it is what it is it's an unfortunate case but uh yeah not going to get it however that just means that I've got another excuse to come back to Ceda point at some point in the future I can't stand here and look at it anymore otherwise there's going to be real tears ah some great signage for tt2 as well oh dear while I uh do actually remember though I would like to just talk a little bit about the locker system here tops rail 2 and steel Vengeance are the two rides here at Ceda point that actually offer a free locker system because those are the two rides that actually incorporate scanners so nothing can be taken on to the ride whatsoever however every other ride here you will need to put anything big bigger than like one of one of the hip bags well bum bags as we call them in the UK you will need to put anything larger than that into a locker single use is $3 multi-use is $12 and it is worth noting that they don't have tap to pay here for the locker system so you will have to use a physical car don't make the same mistake I did back in Bush Gardens last year we had to go all the way back to the car to uh drop my bag off while I'm here though I think we get a ride on the classic cork screw if it's just a 25 minute wait why not aerodynamics opened here in 1976 point is not responsible for [Music] and I've just had a pretty wet ride on Corkscrew there and yeah the heavens did kind of start opening up uh just as we kind of pulled out of the station but otherwise yeah it's a great ride that it rides probably just as rough as demon did at Six Flags Great America the other day however a lot more forceful I found on this one the double cork screw was actually a lot more comfortable just a one Trin service on there waiting about 25 minutes for my ride always a bit disappointing when it's just running at the one train but yeah not a bad ride at all on that and the first drop was actually quite a lot of fun I'll tell you what though one of the worst things about Cedar Point and for those that have visited here will know what I'm about to say is flies hundreds thousands of flies everywhere and like when you go on the faster rides you do come off sometimes you've got one in your eyes sometimes you've swallowed one yeah it's nasty there's just loads of them kind of like little green flies little black flies they're everywhere and yeah certainly going on a coaster that goes over 60 MPH uh yeah you can come off completely covered in them which isn't very nice and yeah kind of had that a little bit with Corkscrew which is surprising cuz that's not particularly a quick ride anyway we're going to go further into Cedar Point now the rain is kind of dying off a little bit so hopefully that's all we're going to get of it today hey there he goes let's head down towards Maverick and steel Vengeance but before we get to steel Vengeance and Maverick we've got the small case of rugaru to deal with first yeah look at the size of that vertical Loop this opened back in 1996 it's a B&M Flawless coaster and until 2014 it was actually called mantis which was the tallest longest and fastest standup coaster in the world on opening I'll tell you what I never wrote this as mantis but as a stand up it must have been an absolute Beast let's see what the Q time's like for this r greator Dy get up [Music] I got it nobody one than thank you so much for that that and I've just got off my ride on rugaru then which like I say changed into a Flor coaster in 2014 and you know what while I do really enjoy kind of the first half of that ride the first drop into that 119t tall vertical Loop and then into that dive Loop that's all really quite good but after that I feel like it kind of loses its way a little bit the second half of the layout leaves a lot to be desired you can definitely tell that this used to be a standup and then it's changed into a Flawless feel like maybe as a standup coaster you might have got a little bit more in the way of forces in that second part of the layout but yeah it's it's a little bit uninspiring for me not my favorite ride at the park this one that b w that is pretty great and from rugaru to Millennium Force the 2000 inamin Giga coaster the first coaster to break 300 ft 310 ft this one 93 mph with its cable lift Hill and there you go with the signage up there the original Giga coaster 6,595 ft of Thrills it's an absolutely humongous ride this he and you know what I know I was going to work my way over to Maverick and steel Vengeance but this is on just a 15minute wait I can't turn that down let's get on Millennium Force and I tell you what until you come here to see the point and you you see Millennium Force in the flesh you just kind really appreciate how absolutely huge that lift Hill is at the size of it can't wait to get back on and I've just had my ride on Millennium Force then and you know what that ride is just words cannot describe still how crazy that first drop is 300 ft at 80° it's absolutely Wild wild it really is the over banks on there are fantastic 93 mph and you know what as 24 years old that ride manufactured by inamin and still even today it is absolutely phenomenal it's one of the best coasters here at Ceda point in my opinion one of the best coasters I've ridden um in my 41 years of being on this planet it really is absolutely brilliant you can understand why it's won all the awards and like I say that was the first Giga coaster the first coaster in the world to break 300 ft it really is absolutely brilliant just a seat belt and a lap bar restrain absolutely fantastic you're so free in that hands up all the way around anyway there's just 30 minutes left of my day one visit here at Ceda point so I'm going to head into Frontier Town now just got the chance for one more ride today so not going to get Maverick and steel Vengeance so we're going to end the day on steel Vengeance let's head over to this absolutely awesome RMC and here we are just heading into Frontier Town then and there goes Maverick yeah this is in my opinion and I think it's probably shared by a lot of other people that this is one of the best areas of the park it is really quite well themed and it looks absolutely brilliant and it's home to two of the most awesome coasters here really at Cedar Point Maverick and steel venons worth noting that it's still just about out of season for the water ride still here at CED the point and uh well across Parks generally really obviously we saw it at Six Flags Great America as well both snake riverfalls and Thunder Canyon Rapids are not in operation currently here at Ceda point they will be very very soon I suspect as we get closer to the summer yeah some generic rides here as well got a little wave swinger in the background oh here comes Maverick are you a you and yes just a really nice area this engine company number three there Spirits you got Skyhawk just through the back there which is an SNS screaming swing some pizza there the big Ceda Farm lots of seaing the frontier in just in front of us there and there is that wave swinger just off to the left as we make our way closer to Steel Vengeance you've also got the Cedar Creek Mine ride here as well which is a Mine Train coaster we'll have to get on that one tomorrow and there is a slingshot here as well as you can see just through there that is an upcharge though and if you've done one of those you pretty much done them all really I've not done the one here at Ceda point but I suspect it does give some pretty good views anything tall in this park you get some absolutely phenomenal views there's The Farmhouse kitchen and Grill there see what I mean about maintenance though it all just looks so nice around here all the planting The Greenery got the fire pits here all the outside seating yeah look at all this great food in there as well wood five meats fresh baked breads it is nice and it smells delicious out here as well these lights all look really nice all the feston lighing across the top there as well where you at a look at Top Thrill too stop teasing me damn it it's just a great area this really is nice and there's steel Vengeance in the back there yeah that's going to be our last ride of the day we'll tidy up the rest of the rides Tomorrow there's CED Creek Mine ride just a walk on that one and uh it's unfortunately the weather for tomorrow is not looking great we kind of got away with it today we had a little bit of rain earlier on but it didn't last any longer than kind of half an hour 40 minutes tomorrow though it's looking like it's going to be pretty stormy all day which is a big shame I hope it doesn't interrupt the day too much we shall see come tomorrow yeah all the theming around here it does make you feel like this is actually a theme park even though it's not all the outside seating here against the lake it's just all really well maintained around here it's a fantastic [Music] area got a Coca-Cola Freestyle there so if you have got one of those wrist bands we spoke about earlier you can get your free drinks love this engine here that's really cool see the Creek Hollow [Music] and actually themed audio in here as well not chart hits which you know I absolutely hate and there is still Vengeance in the back there now a lot of people have asked where steel Vengeance rates in my top [Music] 10 well you know what after I've had my ride on there I'll let you know my thoughts and feelings obviously everybody knows it's it's obviously not my number one cuz that is still the ride to happiness is steel Vengeance even my favorite RMC find out in the next episode of Adventure Planet it is for without a doubt though a really impressive structure used to be mean streak this one before being converted into steel vengeance there's Maverick off to the left getting ready for the launch look at that you got the steel Vengeance shot just off to the left I was out I do need to check out the new merch actually is the uh the steel Vengeance t-shirt I used to have I've kind of outgrown so I do need a new one it look at that all right let's head on over looks like it's a 15minute wait 15 minutes for steel Vengeance you cannot deny that and unfortunately steel Vengeance has gone down possibly for the rest of the night so it may be that my last of the day is going to be Maverick it does appear to be testing though so we'll hold on here for another 5 minutes just to see what happens and uh yeah if it's not opening back up we'll make our last ride of the day Maverick and with steel Vengeance still being down there we're going to make the last ride of the day Maverick the 2007 interin LSM launch coaster and you know what steel vengeance is awesome but Maverick great ride to end the day on nonetheless let's join the queue just a 20 minute wait hi on theat are not responsible for l or damage while riding [Music] and with that absolutely phenomenal ride on Maverick then that's going to bring day one here at Ceda point to a close but Maverick though what an absolutely brilliant ride from the start that LSM launch up to the 105 ft tall lift Hill straight in to that 95° drop 70 mph on that two Inver verions and it is an absolutely brilliant ride so whippy the elements and transitions on there are just fantastic you're swinging out to the left swinging out to the right like I say two inversions and it feels a lot quicker than it actually is because it's quite a Terrain hugging coaster it's absolutely brilliant interestingly enough the second launch on there that actually goes through the tunnel after that Left Bank used to lead into a heartline roll only that was removed not quite sure why um but I think it's probably for the best I'm not quite sure how that would flowed into the transitions following that had that still been there so uh yeah I'm glad that was removed not quite sure why if anyone knows let me know in the comments but yeah that's not there anymore the only thing I would say um in terms of a negative for the ride is again if you're a little bit too tall um 6 foot3 for myself I do find the restraints on the shoulders a little bit uncomfortable but that really is the only negative for this it's an absolutely brilliant ride the transitions oh they they're just so whippy you just got a big smile on your face throughout the entire layout today overall though it's been good lucked out a little bit on the weather again for 40 minutes 50 minutes uh earlier with the rain but luckily there were no storms so the coast has actually stayed open um the rides have been absolutely phenomenal not the best operations on cork screw running just the one train that was a little bit slow rugaru like I say it's okay it's it's a fairly good coaster it's just that second half of the layout that just doesn't really inspire me very much but the rest of the coasters that we got on today uh 10 of them which I actually done have been great great to get on Cedar Downs as well and uh yeah having the uh wristband for the unlimited drinks is absolutely great as well because that's the only big negative about this park really is the extortionate cost of everything uh food drinks and all that it it is it really really is pricey so if you do come down and you think that you're going to have more than one meal a day definitely look at that all day dining option for $33 it's definitely what I would recom recommend um the rest of the park has been great um like I say I think this area here um with steel Vengeance Maverick I think this is definitely one of the best areas of the park it's really quite well themed however the rest of the park that's not to say that the rest of the park is bad it's lovely landscaped it's really colorful nice and vibrant in the right areas you've got the lookout over the Lake Erie and the marina it really is a fantastic location for this and you really do get to appreciate that uh on the taller coasters especially rides like gate keeper Millennium Force absolutely brilliant I want to try and get on WindSeeker tomorrow to try and get even more of those views but uh yeah that's it then that's going to be coming up tomorrow
