from two donors. The first are Joan and Ray
Voll from Kitchener, Ontario. Today is a special day
for Joan and Ray as they celebrate
their 58th wedding anniversary. They have been blessed with
a loving and expanding family and for their many friends. They would like to thank
the Daily TV Mass viewers for their prayers
and good wishes. The second are anonymous donors
from Toronto, Ontario, in loving memory
of their husband and father, in thanksgiving
for all the blessings and gifts received, and for all
the souls of the deceased. Our thanks to our donors
for the gift of this Mass. In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. PARISHIONERS: Amen. The grace and peace of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of

And with your spirit. Let us thank and praise God
for the gift of this day and for God's bountiful
blessings upon us, our family, and community, and ask the Lord to be with us so that
we may remain in His love. Let us acknowledge our sins
and so prepare ourselves to celebrate
the sacred mysteries. You were sent to heal
the contrite of heart Lord, have mercy. PARISHIONERS: Lord, have mercy. FATHER:
You came to call sinners. Christ, have mercy. PARISHIONERS:
Christ, have mercy. FATHER: You are seated at
the right hand of the Father to intercede for all of us. Lord, have mercy. PARISHIONERS: Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God
have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us
to everlasting life. PARISHIONERS: Amen. Let us pray. Almighty, ever-living God, grant that we may always
conform our will to Yours and serve Your majesty
in sincerity of heart, through our Lord
Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. PARISHIONERS: Amen. A reading from the Book
of the Prophet Jonah. "The word of the Lord came
to Jonah a second time, saying, 'Get up, go to Nineveh, that
great city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.' So, Jonah set out
and went to Nineveh, according to
the word of the Lord. Now, Nineveh was
an exceedingly large city, a three days' walk across. Jonah began to go into the city, going a day's walk. And he cried out, 'Forty days more, and
Nineveh shall be overthrown!' And the people
of Nineveh believed God. They proclaimed a fast,
and everyone, great and small, put on sackcloth. When the news
reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne,
removed his robe, covered himself with sackcloth,
and sat in ashes. Then he had made
a proclamation made in Nineveh: 'By the decree
of the king and his nobles: No human being or animal,
no herd or flock, shall taste anything. They shall not feed,
nor shall they drink water. Human beings and animals shall
be covered with sackcloth, and they shall
cry mightily to God. All shall turn
from their evil ways and from the violence
that is in their hands. Who knows? God may relent
and change his mind. He may turn
from His fierce anger, so that we do not perish.' When God saw what they did, how they turned
from their evil ways, God changed His mind about
the calamity that He had said He would bring upon them
and He did not do it." The word of the Lord. PARISHIONERS: Thanks be to God. (Organ playing) # Out of the depths # # I cry to You, O Lord # # Lord, hear my voice # # Let Your ears be attentive # # To the voice

PARISHIONERS:
And with your spirit. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. PARISHIONERS:
Glory to you, O Lord. "Now, as Jesus and His disciples went on their way,
He entered a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened
to what He was saying. But Martha was distracted
by her many tasks. So she came to Him and asked, 'Lord, do You not care
that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then to help me.' But the Lord answered her, 'Martha, Martha, you are worried
and distracted by many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be
taken away from her.'" The Gospel of the Lord. ALL: Praise to You,
Lord Jesus Christ. Dear sisters
and brothers in Christ Jesus, it can become so easy for us to get wrapped up in all
the things we need to do, and the things
that need to be accomplished, that we lose sight of what
the most important thing is. Isn't it possible
that we can get too wrapped up in the cares of life? We constantly hear wise people whispering in our ears, "Get your priorities straight." Jesus said to Martha,
"Martha, Martha, you are anxious
and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary." Could Jesus
say that to you today? Are you anxious for many things? Troubled about situations
in your daily life? Try focusing on
the one thing that is necessary instead of all the others. It simply means, "You need to
get your priorities straight." You probably have
many priorities in life, but which ones matter most, and does your life reflect that? In today's busy world
of multitasking, it is easy to feel
like you are being pulled in a hundred different
directions at once. Trying to split yourself
between your spouse, your job, your children, your friends, and your church can often
leave you feeling exhausted and without
any time for yourself. We all have a lot on our plates, and maybe that won't change. However,
we can change how we handle the many things
vying for our attention. What do you value
the most in life? What are you spending most
of your time and effort on? If you haven't taken the time to stop
and evaluate your priorities, maybe now is the time. The gospel of Luke,
chapter 12, verse 34, says, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Whatever we give the most
of our time and energy to is what, in the end, gets the most
of our heart and soul as well. If we spend long hours
at the office every night, just to come home
and crash into bed before doing it again
the next morning, will our spouse and children feel like
they get the best of us? And, if we spend all our
free time shopping, drinking, and eating,
and never going to church, or enriching
spiritual activities, can we say
we have a heart for God? As you go about
your life activities, what can you do to be more aware of where
you are spending your time? Choose to put your heart
where your treasure is. Quiet time with God
is such an important part of our Christian lifestyle. Being a Christian is about
having a deep, intimate relationship with our Lord. When we have
a relationship with someone, what do we normally do? Usually
we spend time with them, talk to them,
get to know them, and trust them. This is how we should look at the function
of our quiet time with God. Prioritizing God
is a priority in itself. Although it can be hard,
it is so important. And you will see
the benefits of knowing God on a deeper level. In today's first reading, Jonah found himself
in a position where he did
not want to do God's will by going to Nineveh
and preaching about God. Now, it's still very important
here to remember that Jonah was not refusing
to go because he feared Nineveh. He refused to go because he did not want
God to save Nineveh. In chapter four,
Jonah admits this to God. This is no secret. Jonah wanted God's love and
grace to apply to himself and to the other Israelites. But he did not want God's love
and grace to end up extending to those outside
of his own tribe per se. So, one of the things
we must learn in this is that God loves both Jonah and Jonah's enemies. In the same way, God loves you
and He loves this Church, but He also loves those
who are outside of the Church. And He wants them to be part
of the Church as well. It's so easy to want a sanitized
version of Christianity, where everything
is neat and tidy and all the people are like us. But that's just not reality. We must learn
to love those who are like us, and those
who may not be just like us, and realize that God wants
as many as will come to Him. We, ourselves,
have been called by God to go and to preach
the good news to any and all who will give ear to hear it. That is the task that we must
be faithful in proclaiming. And this must be our priority. When you decide to serve God
with your whole heart, and make Him first in your life,
your soul will prosper, and your joy
and your peace will increase. Remember to lean on Him
more than anything else and tell Him, "God, I want to do this, but I can't do it without you." And let God
be the centre of your life. Let that
be the topmost priority. God will give you the grace
to do what you need to do. Amen. With all our heart and mind,
let us pray to the Lord. For the Church,
for Pope Francis, our bishop, and for
all those discerning a call, especially to the religious
life, or priesthood, that they
may find the will of God through the help
of the Holy spirit. We pray to the Lord. PARISHIONERS:
Lord, hear our prayer. For all of those in
the Daily TV Mass community, who have asked to be included
in our Prayer Intentions Book, especially for our students
and all who support them, that they experience
the love of Christ, and also bring
that love into the world. We pray to the Lord. PARISHIONERS:
Lord, hear our prayer. We make these prayers
through Christ our Lord. ALL: Amen. Blessed are You, Lord,
God of all creation. For through Your goodness, we have received
the bread we offer You. Fruit of the earth
and work of human hands, it will become, for us,
the bread of life. ALL: Blessed be God forever. (Whispering) Blessed are You, Lord,
God of all creation. For through Your goodness, we have received
the wine we offer You, fruit of the vine,
and work of human hands. It will become
our spiritual drink. ALL: Blessed be God forever. (Whispering) Pray, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable
to God, our Heavenly Father. ALL: May the Lord accept the sacrifice
at your hands for the praise and glory
of His name, for our good, and the good
of all His Holy Church. Grant us, Lord, we pray, a sincere respect
for Your gifts, that through the purifying
action of Your grace, we may be cleansed
by the very mysteries we serve, through Christ our Lord. PARISHIONERS: Amen. The Lord be with you. PARISHIONERS:
And with your spirit. Lift up your hearts. PARISHIONERS:
We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks
to the Lord, our God. PARISHIONERS:
It is right and just. It is truly right and just,
our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere
to give You thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord. In Him, You have been pleased
to renew all things, giving us all
a share in His fullness. For though He was in the form
of God, He emptied Himself, and by the blood of His cross,
brought peace to all creation. Therefore, He has
been exalted above all things, and to all who obey Him, has become the source
of eternal salvation. And so,
with angels and archangels, with thrones and dominions, and with all the hosts
and powers of Heaven, we sing the hymn of your glory,
as without end we acclaim. (Organ music playing) # Holy, holy # # Holy # # Lord, God of hosts # # Heaven and Earth # # Are full of your glory # # Hosanna # # In the highest # # Hosanna # # In the highest # # Blessed is he who comes # # In the name of the Lord # # Hosanna # # In the highest # # Hosanna # # In the highest # You are, indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make holy,
therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down Your Spirit
upon them like the dewfall, so that they may become, for us, the body and blood
of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time He was betrayed and entered willingly
into His Passion, He took bread, and giving
You thanks, He broke it, and gave it to His disciples, saying, "Take this,
all of you, and eat of it. For this is my body, which will be given up for you." (Chimes ringing) In a similar way
when the supper was ended, He took the chalice,
and once more giving thanks, He gave it to
His disciples saying, "Take this,
all of you, and drink from it. For this is
the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new
and eternal covenant, which will be
poured out for you and for many,
for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me." (Chimes ringing) # The mystery of faith # (Organ playing) # When we eat this bread # # And drink this cup # # We proclaim Your death # # O Lord # # Until You come # # Again # Therefore,
as we celebrate the memorial of His death
and resurrection we offer You, Lord,
the bread of life, and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks
that You have held us worthy to be in Your presence
and minister to You. Humbly we pray, that, partaking
of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered
into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord, Your Church
spread throughout the world and bring her
to the fullness of charity, together with Francis our Pope, Thomas our bishop,
and all the clergy. Remember, also,
our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep
in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have
died in Your mercy. Welcome them
into the light of Your face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that, with the Blessed
Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with Blessed Joseph, her spouse,
with the blessed apostles, and all the saints who have
pleased You throughout the ages, we may merit to be
coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify You through Your Son,
our Lord, Jesus Christ. # Through Him
and with Him # # And in Him # # O God, Almighty Father # # In the unity
of the Holy Spirit # # All glory
and honour is Yours # # Forever # # And ever # # Amen # At the Saviour's command, and
formed by the divine teaching, we dare to say... ALL: ...our Father,
who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on Earth
as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord,
we pray, from every evil. Graciously
grant peace in our days, that by the help of Your mercy,
we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
as we await the blessed hope, and the coming of
our Saviour, Jesus Christ. ALL: For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours,
now and forever. Lord Jesus Christ,
who said to Your apostles, "Peace I leave you.
My peace I give you." Look not on our sins, but
on the faith of Your Church, and graciously
grant her peace and unity in accordance with Your will, who live and reign
forever and ever. PARISHIONERS: Amen. The peace of the Lord
be with you always. PARISHIONERS:
And with your spirit. Let us offer one another
the sign of peace. Peace be with you. Behold Him who takes away
the sins of the world. Blessed are those called
to the supper of the Lamb. ALL: Lord, I am not worthy that
you should enter under my roof, but only say the word,
and my soul shall be healed. (Whispering) (Chimes ringing) ANNOUNCER:
Please join me now in this act
of spiritual communion. # Let us pray. Grant, O Lord, we pray, that benefitting
from participation in heavenly things, we may be helped by what
to give in this present age, and be prepared for
the gifts that are eternal, through Christ, our Lord. PARISHIONERS: Amen. The Lord be with you. PARISHIONERS:
And with your spirit. May Almighty God bless you. The Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit. PARISHIONERS: Amen. The Mass has ended. Let us go in the love of Christ. ALL: Thanks be to God. ANNOUNCER:
