all righty folks welcome back to another episode of fishing Florida so as you can tell it has rained a lot here again literally rained for probably two days straight the water level was really high and that's the best time to go snakehead fishing and yeah that's what this video is going to be about snakehead now snakehead are invasive I honestly don't feel like they make too much of an impact where you can catch a giant snakehead you can usually also catch some pretty big bass too from God it's pretty windy but snakehead are a really fun species to target they're really aggressive they love eating top water and they fight super hard so I love catching snakehead but basically this is going to be a video on how I try to snake it and then I'll show you guys a bunch of snakehead I've caught so as I said before it rained that a ton and the best time the target snakehead is after rains they love to come up shallow and just rest up against the bank and they just wait for bait fish to swim right past them or in this case a top water frog and then they just destroy it sometimes they follow it up all the way right to your feet and then hit it at the last second but basically how I catch snakehead is I usually use top water either a hollow body frog or a solid plastic frog that just cast right up here to the bank and then just slowly reel it or work it down the bank yeah easily a snakehead will come out from a bank and just destroy it all so if it rains a lot in the water levels really high another way I catch snakehead is to cast to the wheat line and then bring it back to shore now we usually draw out some snakehead when the water level is too high a lot of times they won't sit right up on the bank but they'll swim out deeper and hang out in the weeds so yeah I just cast until the weed line and bring you back so that's how I catch snakehead it's pretty simple really don't hit pretty much anything that's moving the really aggressive fish but now I'll show you guys some snake it I've gone that was sick dang that is an orange snakehead that's about a four five solid snake really orange that's crazy look how orange that is probably about a five pound here yeah round five let's get a got him that's a good one oh it's not that big ding no sick right away another really orange snake black black oh okay let's see if he wants to let himself off nope he just wants to go crazy got him doing it though is sick Jesus it seems like so long oh my god okay that's a toad that's a toad okay there we go that's about six or seven that's a good to go these things fight so hard finally got braids so I'm not gonna snap off for my god on the tiny booyah pad crashing this is so fun don't sit that was sick oh my god yes lovely snake head let's go little guy okay that's a toad don't smell me oh my god Oh smokes that was about a 10 pounder that's another toad yep that's a big him nope I'm forcing you out you're not getting off don't get off okay you saw yep that's a good one there we go that's like a seven or eight all right guys this is a really heavy but quadruple up on snake head I'll show you guys the biggest one all right here's the biggest one a giant fish see ya solid snake head let's get a really something all right guys let's get a release on snake head I'll go smallest first here he goes that's the smallest one actually this one might yeah this one was the smallest one whoops this one's a this one was the smallest one Don was about three this is probably about two and a half you ready bud all right he's ready there you go [Music] [Music] these things right George what the heck this is just a tiny little one anyone crazy all right there he goes I call the eight snakehead today there we go first snake of the day first little snake of the day probably about a 3-pound we double slowly not really sided but battle for I gaze solid five pound snake I thought it was smaller he thought really hard pretty ugly one he's like dark brown but yeah let's get here Elise alright solid fat pounding that's actually a really big one look how fat it is actually look how bad yeah that's cute alright guys solid instant nine-pounder eight point seven six alright guys here's the snake my scale said eight that's a toad look how fat it is it's so fat all the fish here like super fat so there we go another giant snake all right we got the double up - mine is definitely smaller all right easy just went right away Big Bertha oh there goes Big Bertha so as you can see I caught a ton of snake head this week they love the rain they always come out after rain they love going up shallow and just resting up against the banks yeah it was really fun catching snakehead they fight super hard hope you guys enjoyed this video hope you guys learned something episode [Music] [Music]
