Catching Bedding Shellcracker, Lake Murray

[Music] good morning folks hey look at this ain't that pretty this is what we Target in today shell crackers beautiful shell crackers see if we can catch a couple of them for supper there's a few in here uh biding ain't many but uh we at the the shell crackers right now try to catch a the shell CRA and ain't going to mess with crappers or strappers glad y'all could be with me on another episode of Love and life hadn't been doing much uh I quit filming for about 2 weeks and uh debating whether to stop for good but anyhow we're going to try to catch a couple shell crackers on the bed uh in here today there's not many left been a lot of people already hammering them but but uh they've been bedding for about 4 days we on the tail end of it and uh we going catch a CO we're using Georgia wigglers out of a yard for bait using a number um four hook with no lead right now you can fish them with a CK but they up right on the bank so I let it go with no lead no [Music] c as the day goes on sometimes more come in but I don't know how many more left to come in here be honest with you there he goes there one there's one that's a nice one come on that's a nice one not a huge one but a good eating size you see them squirting they all males all the females done come and gone I think these are little males guarding the eggs getting too close to the beds we got to get out we going me run them all off already done it I believe we got him he reached down there and got it I put it in his bed and let it sit there and I seen him swerving around it finally took it big one too big one [Music] monster Oh My Monster look at that big old Shell cracker look at that what a big old Shell crack ain't that a pretty one good gosh look at the size of that baby huh that's a biger that Ain a bad thing about it I couldn't tell if he was biting or not and he swallowed it I reach in there and try to get it out it's down in the bottom we got it look at that beautiful brm what I me beautiful brm all right let's see if we get some more we just spot them and throw it in there let it sit on there till bikes it that's what we're trying to do wind blow him in the wrong direction messing me up we got to get out of here pushing right in to the bank get back off of them turn the boat I've caught a couple we ain't going to catch many I might have shell crack of a done night or tomorrow night I'm going try the crap it we've had terrible problems with my Liv Scope when they Rigg my Liv scope they they put my Liv scope call Cord in the call of the trolling motor and you're not supposed to do that and it wrapped up on spot locking and messed my Liv scope transducer up not to mention broke my trolling motor so if you got Liv scope on a trova trolling motor do not put the Liv scope card in the call of the card of the Mota trolling motor and they done that from uh from the uh boat dealership you would think they know how to how to mount stuff but they messed up and I didn't know any better and I that messed me up let me tell you well it's was under warranty and they did it so but it works so much better and I got the 34 transducer now which is wonderful I haven't really used it yet much I just got that [Music] done so we had trolling motor to breake we had to get another motor put in the trolling motor and they done it at of JC Outdoors they work at night on them and they were good enough to get me in and out um over in the Gilbert South Carolina I see we can spot us another fish down in here they hard to see hundreds of beds but the fish is done gone there ain't many left they either been caught or they not come and gone done the bidding we behind the fact on this one do happened they'll come in a couple days and they gone the females will come in and lay the eggs and they don't stay so it protects the females the males one jeopardize their lives to protect the eggs that's where it works I believe there's one laying that bed right there it's hard to see I don't know if y'all see them beds or not down in there probably not cuz it ain't bright Sunshine but if you pop one in the bed and just let it sit in it he can't stand it being in his bed after a while he'll bite it even if he ain't going to bite he'll bite it see if I can spot another there's a few up way against the banker kind of let's th up there away from where we at they might bite a little better oh I see the whole but I don't see the fish they might some more come in don't know what fish I see is up down a foot of water if we can get up there we might cat nothing H they hard to catch now I don't know if y'all hear them jacas in the woods sounds like UFOs we got about a thousands around here they all in all the woods I'm not seeing a lot of them and coming gone let go back over here and see if we can find one over there this bed need to go find some new more more beds hadn't been fish if there's any left he goes got him we got him we got him nicely nice one oh Lord Beau look it way down had the needle no him out H we got him yeah we getting a couple got to love a couple okay get back out there over let sitting that b a little bit see what happens we don't spook them all out they all went out they'll come back but we got on top of them there goes one there goes one there goes One Brown he getting around that trash uh-oh he come through it he ain't that big that's Blue Gill and not shell crack they bluegill see that pretty bluegill though oh my pretty blue good that's a eat right there that's some good KN one hey that's some good KN one right there we got to go look for some more beds well good morning folks hey old fisherman back with you once again we're going to do a little shell cracker fishing here this morning and I'm going to show you my setup we got a little panish S car rise with a little C30 uh president fluger re with a number you can use anywhere from a eight to a two hook but we got a number six uh four hook excuse me with a swivel with a braid line and then we got a 4 lb floral carbon down what we're using this morning is a Georgia wiggler is what we're going to use and you'll see them the fresh out the yard and what I'mma do is uh we come in here yesterday and called a limit it might not be none less today but I thought I'd I had been videoing for about a two weeks I just been fishing it's been so much fun fishing without videoing and I thought i' I would uh show y'all catching a few shell crackers ain't no guarantee they going to bite I tell that they might be done come and gone we don't know but uh anyhow we just going to throw out there right now might not be done left I caught a limit and my buddy Mario come in and caught a few so they might not be here this morning I don't know but we going to give it a shot don't know right now I'm looking down the water's kind of dark but I don't see see anything on the beds unless they I'm moved [Music] out it might not be [Applause] here there goes one there goes one no what that was must been a little brown he hit it but it wasn't we didn't get him try that again oh one there one oh he got no I still got him finally got one folks took a while let me tell you it took a while finally got one throughout father first fish of the day got all this grass on my R but we got the first sh cracker today look at that huh nice one look at that that's what I'm talking about folks right there you see that super dog slab bigger than your hand you can't beat it look at that ain't that a beautiful fish look at that huh ain't that a beautiful fish oh my that's what we're looking for right there folks monster pound and a qu shell crackers they've run anywhere from 3/4 to a pound and a half in here and uh the heck to get out off the hook we got number one let put another hook on I mean a worm on there and see if we can get nothing to do this kind of fishing you you got to have needl nose let me tell you if they swall it they are hard to get out lot of times you got to break your hook cut your hook that kind of stuff but try not to lose so many hooks like that but I threw way out on that one they caught him so it ought maybe out deeper this morning hanging around out there waiting to come in [Music] maybe maybe I always can't a bucket to rinse my hands off cuz this stuff here is nasty you got dirt to deal with you got worm blood it's a it's a mess to fish like this but hey it's good fishing let's throw it way out CH that might be where it way John got him done one finally got a n folks took a while finally got a n had sit there for a while that you think that ain't beauty that is a Beauty look at that that is a pretty one a't it pound and a qu at least that's what we're looking for 30 like that a liit on shell CRA is a 30 we caught 30 in here yesterday [Applause] you never know where they going to be just got to look for them fish for them thr out then let it set that's all you can do it's like a waiting game that's what shell cracker fish is all about sometimes you can throw it out and bring it in throw it out and bring it in sometimes it just don't work like that sometimes it's a episode to try to catch them I believe that one was looking at it I believe we got him we got him he looked it we got him oh my we got him that's a good one that's a good one look at that look at what a shell cracker that's well worth the time right there it takes to catch one of these babies they like one worm is what they like see that beautiful fish they like one worm and that's all I believe that looking at it too he got to put it right in his bed for him to take [Applause] it he didn't take it though he looked at it he didn't take it there fish all them there I see them now Sun's getting up I can see them [Applause] there's one there's one got one takes a while to get them don't it goodz gosh they hard to catch he swall it his gizzle too look at that he swall it all the way down what he doing boy I miss a hook got in a minute you see him got re tie we got one on this one though the r r the during trolling motor we got him we got him here as big doens we got him he h it on the outside of mouth Lord have mercy they like a wiggling worm I they that think was one on this one we got one going on this one oh he come off Dad blame it there goes one there goes one we got one we got one oh my we got one far and few between but we get them got a that set there catch them what you got to do look at that what a shell craer oh man swallowed it that's the only bad thing about it they swallowed it might to fish one rod for a little bit a going to be able to get this out all right folks we going pull over to another spot we done found some more shell crackers here going throw it right out here and see what we can do they out there I tell you that good ones too oh my good ones them jokers know they pull and they hit they hit look at that what a shell cracker fine I in it what I mean a finding see that that's kind of re about and shell cracker magazine we you got one camera going right now it's got to cool down [Music] right inhow it ain't working let's see we got nothing right out here in front of the there I don't know how you you look I mean a blind man could have seen them that's look at that folks pull up right here they I see beds all back in here too as I pulled up now I see them they all up under the boat I seen them way out cha so that means they one hell of an area of them damn if you'll pull right in right there in front of me right there sideways and fish right out there you'll catch them they don't start there right in here right so you can stop right out there right here come on in some come on in come in closer to me that's why I got behind them you can pull up close to me I'm throwing this way okay the bed start right out there okay you can if you can throw that far you can you can whenever you want to stop it or you can get closer now put it down right there and throw you throw it out in front of my boat about 10 F feet I promise you they bit good the First on did didn't here I and I was able to set hook without them swallowing it oh really mhm but this last one broke off me holding line you fixing to have something take your line you got to throw where they at now you can't throw outside them throw right there in front of me oh you right on top of one it's going to go I see it you didn't even have a lead on that did you yeah it did oh little bitty Le I L I went all the way up be Creek be island everywhere you can man well I was just heading around until I got over there I was going home that fell where that pontoon right there used to catch them on the bed right along in there too right you didn't even get that far no I ain't made it there [Music] I out there where that you probably got one by now yeah he started taking he's got to be on it ain't he don't tell me I spooked him no I got a bite one bumped it bumping that one [Music] too oh going fight I see two shell crackers straight under my boat come got it they swerved at it and didn't take it there you go another blue gill well I be there get you another one yeah damn Le bum look at that folks what a fish that's a good one look at him peeing Dr around here oh Lord you got another one you better quit finagling around and get out there oh my God look at that huh look at that look at that look from the skies for the old fisherman oh almost went in the lake goly M boy he hit the edge and come back look at that huh we just going to catch a couple more I just want to show you what we've been doing having fun loving life on Lake Murray nothing like it you know that right huh he mov yeah the winds on blow me around in't it yep no it's brm Ain it yeah Dam big old brm look it's beds all in one on this boat I was going so fast I went right over the sh crack CU all it was everywhere I said oh my god what have I found here I mean they were everywhere look at it look at him look at him that's a sh spring look at that that is Extreme that's a grandpa look at that thing folks oh uhoh we hitting the bank we hitting the bottom hitting the boat no I ain't been able to I understand we got to adjust our anchor I hate to but I got to do something cuz I'm running into the into the dog on that's where power fold comes in hand Ain't No Doubt Le bom this is some more fun folks D I mean Dolly wappers I'll say one thing for you it didn't take you long to get him I ain't lying he that boat up the lake son it's been a long time since I Z Ro in on shell crackers for a whole week like I have this year yeah I can't even remember doing catching them me it's fun though ain't it oh yeah that's a nice blue G actually I think that was a better eating they still fish at the other place too but they just got where they don't want to bite yeah pretty a folks we we going to let y'all go anyhow just want to give you a little taste I don't know if I put this video up or not but hey we got one
