Casual Winter Outfits (to look good even when it's cold 🥶)

as good old ned stark would say winter is coming but the cold no matter how freezing it is is not enough to stop us from being the stylish kings in queens i know we all are so grab your mulled wine and your blanket we're going over 12 casual winter outfit ideas for this season before we get into it quick shout out to super dry today's video sponsor i picked out my four favorite pieces from their the outfits shown if you were to ask me what my current quote-unquote uniform outfit is this would be it an overcoat a thick turtleneck and wide-fit trousers with a full break on some chunky sneakers bonus points if the overcoat is belted i am obsessed with belted coats at the moment this one is from the women's section of arkad so don't be afraid to look in the women's section too if your trousers have a pattern like these gray stripes you can never go wrong by using the color of the pattern as the primary color in your outfit remember that time when i said i didn't like cardigans why did i buy so many cardigans i don't know it just looks weird to me i feel like cardigans were not made for me yeah i changed my mind hold on let me take off this overcoat for a second so you can see it better this cardigan made me change my mind it has the right amount of thickness the right ever so slightly oversized fit and the right color to ignite in me that newborn love for cardigans yes a t-shirt and cardigan alone may not be winter appropriate but add on a coat maybe even a big scarf and you should be good to go for a mild winter day find yourself some nice textured trousers like these ones from olive clothing for extra brownie points for outfit 3 i'm channeling my 90s justin timberlake when nsync was still a thing with this big white puffer jacket the super dry fatigue jeans these chunky sneakers and a basic gray sweatshirt which is surprisingly quite a trendy look these days with 90s fashion being a huge thing i think the front stitched pockets on the jeans pair very well with the hook eyelets on the sneakers inspired from hiking boots as they have that similar rugged vibe and the puffer jacket obviously gives off that functional outdoorsy vibe to tie it all together but it's slightly cropped in length for a more modern silhouette you know i'm a big fan of the turtleneck plus shirt combo and even better if it's a corduroy shirt now you might look at this outfit and say hey aren't you going to be cold dressed like that in the middle of winter now listen to me jack this is actually a lot warmer than you think don't underestimate me i'm wearing four layers here a t-shirt a turtleneck on top of that another shirt on top of the turtleneck and then a heat tech insulating uniclove vest on top of it all so this is actually a surprisingly warm outfit the color scheme here is all about mixing those neutral tones black beige white brown and these gorgeous sneakers recall all of those colors and i'm here for it now for outfit five we're going all black with just a touch of color rocking the super dry leather varsity jacket some white like trousers from asos a black turtleneck and the vegan leather super dry sneakers using an all black look to anchor one statement piece and in this case the sneakers is never a bad idea and i'm particularly a fan of red as a statement color when worn with black yes i'm in a very monochromatic mood these days black and white all day long baby absolutely love this sweater i think this is a great look for the holidays for the christmas dinner although maybe this is a little edgier than your standard ugly christmas sweater so you can definitely tone it down with a more festive sweater if you prefer again the key here is to have that statement sweater and the rest of the look more paired back so a simple overcoat black trousers and boots are all you need for a simple but classy look that you can then add a little spice to depending on your choice of sweater by the way all of the looks are going honestly one of my favorite looks from today's video and i'm not just saying that because the jeans are from our sponsor i just think it's a good solid casual look we have the turtleneck under the hoodie another one of my favorite ways to wear a turtleneck the droid monsieur hoodie has a nice relaxed fit with oversized sleeves and then the relax fit super dry jeans on the bottom with that front pocket stitching detail gives off those rugged vibes and the og cortez sneakers on the shoes with that blue detail and the red the tiny bit of red just contrasts nicely against it all and finally to finish it off i just added this arkit vest every piece kind of has that mix of street and rugged aesthetic that makes the whole look feel complete and could look right at home in a 90s hip hop music video sometimes you just want to be comfortable and cozy as heck in comes the matching sweatshirt and sweatpants set i love this one from pangaya and you can add on a bulky jacket and you're good to go this look gives me major airport lounge vibes and it's definitely what i plan on wearing on the plane to my next vacation who doesn't like a good camouflage sometimes i'm in love with the fit of this camo windbreaker from superdry and i decided to reuse the colors of the camo pattern of the jacket and all of the other elements of the outfit so i went with a black turtleneck underneath the olive green trousers some blue slash greenish socks and black doc martens derbies out of all the patterns you could choose from it felt particularly suiting to color coordinate with camo put me behind a tree and you won't even notice i'm there what says winter more than a heavyweight flannel grab yours in an oversized fit so you can actually layer it on top of bulkier sweaters and hoodies rather than just a t-shirt if you want to avoid lumberjack connotations you're probably better off avoiding the straight fit jeans timberland and flannel combo instead you can contrast the ruggedness of the flannel with more sophisticated items like this off-white turtleneck tapered black trousers and leather chelsea boots some outfits just look four times better with some jewelry on top and in my opinion this is one of them so i finished it off with this silver chunky chain when putting an outfit together i try to really think about the mood the feeling that i want to create when looking at it and for this outfit i got inspired by a mix of korean fashion hip hop and sci-fi we have the black leather trousers for that bit of korean slash matrix kind of vibe the boldly colored super dry sneakers for that more hip-hop vibe and this futuristic looking textured cropped but oversized and the sleeves sweater i think those three pieces complement each other well although each one has a different feel to them together they create a cohesive aesthetic you can of course add a coat on top for extra warmth but to be fair this sweater is incredibly warm on its own already for this last outfit not gonna lie i pretty much thought what would a teddy bear wear if it was into fashion we're going all monochromatic with all the different shades of brown we have the base trousers and the tan turtleneck as the base and then adding this fluffy fleece jacket and the converse high tops this one's all about the fuzzy winter vibes i could picture myself sitting cozy by the chimney drinking
