If Christian music doesn't turn you off, listen to this song. I prefer the original by John Mark McMillan, but this seems to have wider appeal. Either version is incredibly emotional. It always makes me tear up, especially knowing that John wrote it after his best friend died in a car crash.
The dumb thing is, contemporary Christian rock would be amazing if none of it had those cheesy-ass lyrics. I can't tell you how many times I've discovered a song on the radio that had me drumming on the steering wheel, only for the kitschy vocals to kick in: "GOD IS THE GLORY, WE LOVE ALL THAT HE DOES AND HE IS SO RIGHTEOUS AAAAALALALALA I FEEL THE SPIRIT BURNING WITHIN ME WITH PRAISE AND LOVE" and I'm like, "The fuck is this, 700 Club?"
