Carry Expert's 11 Everyday Carry Essentials | EDC Dump: Episode 7

what's up i'm taylor weldon i'm the creative director of carryology i'm excited to be here in huckberry's gear lab and today we're going to talk about my 10 favorite adc items that i carry with me at all times let's party [Music] so my personal collection of edc here kind of like my philosophy of edc is stuff that i should be able to use every single day and this comes along with me with when i go traveling but this is also like when i'm here in austin like not traveling this is always going to be on me at all times no matter what it's all thought about like ways that this can improve my life and get me out of the pinch so if there's something that like catches you off guard in your life like oh man i wish i had that that's an opportunity add that to your edc and find a cool way or clever way to incorporate that into your life so the first item i want to talk about and i think this one's overlooked a lot and it might be one of the most important edc items that everyone should have keep this in your back pocket it's a bandana there's lots of things you can use a bandana for this particular one is the elephant brand fast color this uh this little guy here is a little elephant on here he's got his trunk up which means means it's from after 1950s i love my old vintage bandanas start carrying a bandana next up is a breakfast taco now everyone needs to keep a breakfast taco in their pockets at all times this is amiga's breakfast taco with chorizo on top now after 1 p.m it magically transforms into an al pastor taco so that's a nice bonus of having a breakfast taco in your pocket at all times we should always have this you never know you're going to be hungry nice little snack that's been in my pocket for like six or seven days now fresh ready to go always now next up again we live in austin texas randolph engineering aviator sunglasses my eyes are really sensitive to the sun i need super dark lenses i'm always wearing sunglasses inside not to try to be cool but because i need them classic aviator frame and the matte brushed chrome i think is what they call it but it's really nice finish really great quality made of steel and i love these things i'm always wearing them my favorite sunglasses on earth next up we have the bellroy by karyology essentials collab wallet here and this is the uh the card sleeve version of it and we did some cool stuff to it there's some uh some cool detailing in here there's a little pattern that we had custom made and it's debossed into the leather it's all other construction this little pull tab is kind of nice i keep a metroid card in there just in case i ever have to go to new york city it comfortably holds like i don't know six cards but i personally i only keep four cards in here because i'm ultra minimalist when it comes to wallets slim your wallet down throw away that like buy buy 10 ice creams get the 10th one through throw that thing away that business closed down during code you don't even need that anymore next up i have my iphone that's 13 pro max the big one i use this for work a lot the camera's solid it works pretty well in a pinch when i don't have my big camera with me now the reason i brought this one up it's in a bellroy case any case will work i like the bellroy case it's leather but this is the part that i think is pretty pretty interesting you've got a little secret spot behind there secret hundo back there that's for emergencies i don't actually spend that but if you ever get in a pinch and you need some backup money to like get yourself out of a terrible situation back up money keep it behind your case now these things are kind of fun these are challenge coins and i actually realized i designed all three of these that's for the awesome facial hair club a fun little club that i'm in we say we're a drinking club with a beard problem and then these are uh two cariology challenge coins these are titanium one is um cnc milled and then this one is laser engraved and numbered the whole thing with challenge coins is if i catch you without one of these in your pocket and i know that you're supposed to have one you're buying the drinks civilians adopted it from the military and it's uh it's fun nice little conversation because anyway you gotta have a pocket knife with you and for me i'm using the chris reeve sebenza i'm sure some of the viewers will notice this this is a left-handed sebenza it's a long story but i broke my finger and i have less dexterity in my left hand so it's easier for me to keep this in my left pocket and then keep the the knife angled the way it should be in my left pocket because i had a right-handed knife in my left pocket and occasionally the blade would open i put my hand in my pocket and i get stabbed probably in my opinion one of the best knives in the world steel's fantastic i go for the plain jane titanium scales here it's classic it's simple it works it's sharp it's durable it's timeless love this thing now necessary have like you have your keys so for me the most interesting part about my keychain is probably these two aspects here these two things here and one is a monroe knives mega dangler and i love this thing this thing is super hard to find it's a bottle opener right here on this part you can also use this as like kind of like a makeshift knife you know like opening boxes or something this little tip here and you can also hang your keys from it and use it as maybe even like a flathead screwdriver you can put in little bits and use it as a bit driver if you need to but the most important part is they call it a mega dangler right what it does is it'll go in your jeans pocket and hang from the top seam of your jeans pocket so your keys will actually sit um like vertically in your pocket and it keeps your pocket nice and organized and clean versus just kind of like a big old bulge in there i love that and then this is from my friend he's actually here in austin enrique my shunt this is this is my shunt aeon flashlight that's super super small but it packs a punch it's always going to get dark like 100 chance tonight it will be dark have a flashlight on you you're going to need to see all of this is titanium and that is a theme you might have been noticing i got a titanium wedding ring here i'll also get into some more titanium in just a second all titanium everything forever everything titanium must be titanium i want my bandana to be titanium i want my taco to be titanium i want everything i want my t-shirt to be titanium so the next two items one of them is my omega seamaster this has been my grail watch forever this is like i think from the early 2000s if i'm not mistaken i bought this thing used i saved up for it for like a year it's the only omega seamaster that's made of titanium with a black dial i haven't swapped out the the bezel insert because the original one came with a um a titanium colored one i like the black better kind of gives a little bit more pop now the funny thing about this watch also this this strap is like five dollars from amazon so i love the idea of having this like expensive nice fancy watch fancy if you will it's a tool watch but this really nice watch on this like five dollar nylon band i think it's really funny and it like it drives makes people mad i think it's awesome but it's kind of a bonus that they're like what the heck why do you have the i'm a super big watch nerd and this is like this is it for me found it love this thing and then the final thing if you know me i'm always wearing this hat but this is the stetson open road straw hat in the winter i switch over to the felt cool part about this is a little hidden feature i guess if you will behind the uh the sweat band here i keep a secret twenty dollar bill in there and that's if like i go to the white horse or like sagebrush and they have a cover for the band that night musicians if you get a sweaty 20 bill that's from me so we talked about my adc and basically how it's designed to get me out of a pinch hopefully you learn something from it you can take away something about you know one of these items or many of these items to improve your edc and maybe not maybe you don't like it at all maybe you want to stick to your own thing that's cool too but this is what's with me every single day never leaves my side even the taco all the stuff in my pockets at all times i
