frampton just catching danae coming forward [Applause] is he really more naturally the featherweight than daenerys and he's putting the power on here and he's unloading bit of head work going in and marcus mcdonald sees it and tells him just a little welt underneath the left eye there as well that was the right hand of cal franta it's not taking long for that to happen i see a little welter's getting worse four seconds they're gonna have to work in the corner on that when he moves towards us you'll see that is swelling up already good left hook from california as well in our little he's keeping his feet in front of the net seeing that he can't there's nothing going on he's moving he's not holding his feet too long without throwing any punches the first round was a close one but sparring with a guy they found over in philadelphia undefeated young prospect called steal from steve fulton and he's put in some really good work with him there's good funding there that's that lee trouble again the reaction just a little bit slow there from from air with our right hand you have the opportunity to land they just took too long to throw it he was clipped by a left as well as they lazy jab gonna go right hand back [Applause] dominated this round frampton has power in both sides i'm more impressed with franklin's control because he landed a couple of good shots and he didn't go mad didn't get up didn't get hungry on his success he just took his time he got good shots stick to my plan but he knows that air could be dangerous three rounds over and that was a good one for carl frampton they're swelling around the left eye and a dick on the nose now good round that for frampton really good display he landed some quality shots control with his display he [ __ ] him very well at the minute everything that he and coach jamie moore could have hoped for at this stage for carl frampton and of course his legion of fans snap about his work tonight so far he looked good for the first four rounds though against seracio garcia it was around about this stage that crampton began to lose his way a bit in november well that listen the pattern of the fight might change john but that'll be because i don't think franklin has stayed as sharp as he is but denae isn't there's been a quality fight then he neil know just out there how to turn it on and change the time of the fight [Applause] there's some twists and turns yet of that um pretty much certain you can see they've studied and that left hook though we'll see where frampton shot that chopping right hand was a big one dinar takes it well good body shot as well there from frampton quality work from the irishman and another one into the side of the head of daener who's under sustained pressure in this fourth round trying to bring his punches up off the ropes see franklin's staying low but he got his he got his arms together so he's blocking he knows the uppercuts are going to come so he got his gloves together round good accuracy there from franklin today look at the tip though and he just from the saudi corner on top of the head straight away with that right hand this is good working close that's not sure a little right down chopping right down toward the top and smothered in the working today and allowing him to get any purchase in those uppercuts so fantastic display so far from frampton technically very very clever so much noise in the crowd you can barely hear what's going on in the corners jamie moore i'm sure though will be very pleased with what he's seen so far [Applause] into the fifth but i think the discipline that carl's showing that franklin is showing i think that's important as well [Applause] i think he has to continue that a little bit longer as well before he really goes for it but he's dominating another minute [Applause] that's what danny's a little bit just a little bit on the balls of his feet get a bit of rhythm in his work his last defeat was in november 2016 de niro it's taken good men to beat him in the past had a one early in his career which was kind of when he was still in the learning curve but then his last three guillermo rigondo nicholas walters who's a terrific fighter and jesse magdaleno you know there's a good name [Applause] crowd believe that they're on their way to seeing a frampton victory though quite a start to this fifth round that's good the right hand though because he can sort of do that because he's the shaft of the two was certainly so far and he can take his time [Applause] trying to turn the net as well while he's pushing him back not really getting too much success with these big hooks that's another quality jab from frampton but they're just a little bit wide aren't they the hooks when he's in close you feel that framson physically is bossing this fight i just think that is the natural size because even though daenerys coming up from the lower weights just doesn't have the same natural strength as carl franklin has that's a fast right uppercut though from danair that's a dangerous shot he's going to come back with the left hook though danae when he lands with a shot oh good shot therefore from underneath an air [Applause] just a little movement to the right to give him space to let that left hand the danger punch go brampton's right in his face but daenerys having success has two brilliant uppercuts from diner best punches the filipinos landed so far [Music] see fran has been pushing him back so london as we throw the uppercuts he's having to lean back and not get the purchase on the punches he would like but then he held his feet a little bit lovely little shots here under there good job they're back from frampton [Applause] to there finally though he's landed with a couple of punches which frampton will have felt and frampton content to just give a little ground in the closing seconds of this round good right hand from frampton final scoring shot of the round to the ssc arena quality work from daener working off the ropes at that good uppercut and another one and frampton felt those there was three on a shot one it went right over got two left uppercuts and that's sort of almost almost vintage today second time maybe the clearest scoring shots of the round but barry nevertheless gives it to carl frampton i do i didn't think it was just one little talk of the success that he had i think throat around franklin was doing the better work but then they needed a little bit of success oops then that's the floor then lost concentration for a second look down now the action underway again benito de niro in his 43rd professional fight tonight stoppage ratio is very similar between the two of them mid-50s in percentage terms do you think that is that the how the single punch that's a good punch from franks takes it well though [Applause] oh good shot and the footwork there from franklin i think what the nays might know is that single punches are not going to be enough he's now turning together in combinations which he's more than capable of doing he's gonna have to start putting some rounds together though nanito de niro this fight it's nearing the halfway stage and well the first round was close that last one he had his moments of success but was it enough to have taken the rounds and that's a best case scenario for him [Applause] they're trying to narrow the gap trying to work away to get an opening but frampton is not providing them showing good mobility into it oh that's [Applause] not thinking about anything coming back gotta be careful jumping in like that front and you can see denier trying to do that lean back left hook crampton's looking for the big right hand and he's looking to target that damaged left eye good sharp body shot there from danae still dangerous nanito no knock down marcus mcdonald giving nanito a little bit of time just to compose himself [Applause] and so we reached the halfway stage at denair corner wife rachel interestingly among those giving advice in that corner [Music] i'll get shot there from hampton lovely punch second time so into the second half of the fight and barry's scored every round so far to carl frampton i think he talks well john i think he's been controlled first and the fifth were close yeah the first could have gone in the way maybe an even wrong one machine i just like crap a few punches from the landed with [Music] how much belief does daener still have when you come to always that belief you can teleport over the back i'm pretty sure we expected to be under pressure in the early stages but i'm sure he didn't expect to be surrendering as many rounds as he maybe has i think he's i've been impressed with cal not getting over eager not trying too hard to get the knockout all the stoppage but if you turn his punches in and have a success and just take a little walk away oh he's turned away though he's turned away now what was that about [Applause] he got something on the top just to put his eye on the forehead remember whether they clashed heads and we got close there didn't see it oh did that look at the other there just for a moment so thought he was going to turn his back on it face all the time he's marking up more and more nanito daenerys he ships more and more punishment good left hand from brampton [Applause] as he fights off the ropes landed with a oh that's a good uppercut from today and another one trouble he was in trouble momentarily with that uppercut and is he turning it around that is the most anxious moment of the fight so far for frampton that he comes firing back himself good one two there though from frampton as a response tremendous uppercuts from denair [Applause] [Music] most anxious moments so far for carl frampton this will test his fitness and his preparations she's credit he's gone back to work and straight back to work [Applause] not feeling that he'd had him going enough to really launch an all-out assault [Applause] but an interesting round janae take that one no john enough for me i think all the better working from franklin i think there was a one shot from de niro which is the best shot maybe in the fight the damage i'm not sure it was a clash of heads have a look is that where it was that looked like a classic maybe it was yeah oh yeah that's where he turned away and dabbed uncomfortably at the injury well only the referee can sort of do that for you you know she's going to see this lovely uppercut here from danae right on the button not happy he says it was the heads that did it no deliberate intent from carl frampton into the eighth round frampton way ahead on points that's an anxious moment in that last round yes it's competitive every rock's competitive but i just think he's doing enough and i think the first and the fifth you could have given today and i'll be fair enough but i think every other one i think have been found quite comfortable to be honest but that's how barry's got it frampton by shutout so far and it makes it sound like he's just schooling there and he's not but he's boxing i think front of the box very well but the last few rounds have been signed tonight you know there's a feeling that if frampton was going to win this one it would be maybe on points if he gets to stop it odds of around five to two were being quoted on us a knockout or a tko in frampton's favor of course de niro big outsider nine to two against [Applause] sorry i know frank was trying to crawl him and push him back but he's better off being here because i think he's having more he's sharper than the two off the back it's a more successful from range than is a little bit slow slower than it used to be and he stays away from those uppercuts most importantly leaping in again there needs to think a little bit with his feet you should draw the leader franklin and then get that lean back left hook he throws all that over hand right counter that's a and so effective him in the [Applause] you past trying to find that right hand after brampton had thrown his left you just tend to keep that left hand low for hampton as you see and again using the footwork right in the notes i think it's been so far unless unless dinner has a fantastic finish to this round it's been under not a comfortable round for for franklin but wrong that he's i think he's a clear winner so far he's boxed well tonight wanted to roll back the years and find another great performance one which would have been somewhere from his vintage which was maybe five or six years ago so far he's not been able to find it just glimpses every now and again that he might just have a little bit left of that spark touch of gloves frampton including increases his hold seemingly on this match when he leaves that left hand low but he's been looking it looking for it for eight rounds and he hasn't found it it's frampton's fight to lose now this he needs to just a bigger thing with the front foot there's the needle that's what he needs to draw the lead of frampton and then he gets that right hand in and i think i think if the advice in the corner for france was spot on you know trying to increase the work rate a little bit without taking any silly risks i think the discipline that that's been good tonight from franklin and that was that's been the key so far to why the way he's ahead and he is ahead he might not be every round like i have it but he's lost two rounds at most a good chin he's not looked as though he's been particularly wobbled at any stage but he's taken a lot of punishment particularly to the head yeah but the thing is he's always dangerous in the scene with the single shots he's always dangerous you always have to be mentally switched on [Applause] and a shabbos even faster review and that's why you have to be fitting rather the mentally shattered right the more you keep that that plan and that discipline emotion may the 19th is the ibf title fight lee selbe defending against josh warrington and selby's already indicated this week that he is ready to come to ireland to fight carl franson he'd be only too happy to take that fight they'd have no choice really if he wanted to fight to the capitol island that's good as well he's getting close again with a few good shots but he's only going to walk onto an uppercut staying too close this is the range for franklin right here and danae got to quicken our feet up those feet getting to the stage of the fight now where he must surely know he's a mile behind on points and he got a longer reach if he doubles up the jab and took his defeated then you can get a longer right hand on target fast body shots from frampton [Applause] miss frampton maybe thinking he's done enough and just box your way now to victory why gamble to find finish the match will care for their heads clashing closer he's done enough in this round again he's not put the pressure on denise or boxing's down to the better punches and nothing's been massively stand out but he's done enough to win so you take a bit of a rest it's another round to frampton for me that one that's good they're trying to punch you together effectively there frampton nice little good rhythm to his work she's going to be careful when he's doing that coming forward that's the danger for him and allows denier to throw those uppercuts and hopefully land [Music] very early ready to go second round [Applause] has outboxed him and he's looked the stronger man yeah he has but denise still lost the man with more one punch power so i like you saying this he wants to stay this distance for franklin so barry sees it frampton by a long long way perfect card in score terms for frampton if the judges see it the same one american judge one hungarian judge and one british judge you see he's just lost a bit of taste his knee a little bit a little bit in his legs which just can't get get the fact that they took it up front is getting in and out and he's just not there for the counters to be thrown but denae wouldn't you think denaya fused that with me to chase him down when he moved back well maybe jumping a little tag oh the other target quicker but he can just can't do it so he needs he needs kyle franklin to come on to him will be i think too cute too shrewd and too long in the tooth to allow himself to be suckered in at this stage yeah and he still found this sort of relatively fresh as well but she's a worry for delay because the chances are he was hoping that franklin would be tired right now and he could maybe capitalize on a few mistakes he's gonna make to now trying to walk him down to the opportunity to land the big left hand crampton having none of it staying fleet-footed you just want to keep another run around too much and before you know the walks down your backs on the ropes and then you know you may be in trouble what's up left hand whistle through thin air you can see the tower of the canyon the speed of the shot we got to go touch everything in it could signal the end of a long and distinguished career if daener loses tonight he's been fantastic hasn't he drove his career really has first one that world title might be a flyweight world title way back in 2007. and another clear round for framson to extend looks as though he's run out of ideas and he's hoping that frampton makes some sort of mistake and just gets lazy he's made daenerys look a little bit shot warm tonight two rounds to go [Applause] john when you have the punching power of thin air uh yeah that never leaves you so i think again i said it earlier on but the discipline and the control for franklin in these last two rounds may be more important than any time of the fight because even if you did give daenerys a couple of rounds he's still a mile behind so you don't want to give me anything now for franklin street very very cautious the only way he wins is to stop him and uh is this those moments on the ropes a few rounds back was it in the seventh where he brought those powers of recovery and he showed that they were good pushing down from daener frampton guilty of ducking low which the referee pulled him up on as well not allowed to go below waist this height the double jab for today hasn't been used enough to just show that he can land with it because he got the longer reach and a good rhythm to his work as well when he lets his hands go so i just confused he hadn't done that a long long a few rounds ago earlier decent body shot from the filipino frampton you sense he's convinced that he's done enough now and he's just trying to box his way through nice jab there from franklin [Music] a good right hand as well a little spin off the front foot maybe but you can still be the guy who can still be dangerous a hall of famer [Applause] and he's being uh oh i thought for a moment he was gonna take a point off him but he certainly uh he certainly made his point [Applause] more caught by a right hand and a body shot coming in as well from daenerys and he's going looking for in closing seconds of the 11th at last he finds the target oh another big left hand from daenerye [Applause] frampton again takes the power of nanito de crowd just a little bit hushed in those last few seconds of round 11. daenerys still shows that he has power she is a feisty lady look at it start with a lovely right hook to the body from then and then that lovely left hook as well to follow look at that good shot [Applause] and then he kept throwing all the shots into there i was a good i think he finished the wrong strong and that was a first round i've given him well he's gonna have to do more of the same here's jamie moore [Music] timing and distance yeah so just one round to go and the crowd rise to appreciate their hero the two touch gloves tell you what it's been fought and indeed built up in the most gentlemanly of manners between two fine fighters but it looks very much despite those rocky moments in the 11th as though carl frampton he's going to win this one but daenery will go for broke here he's not in the woods here john even though he's winning everything and he can only really give tonight three rounds of faster for me but like he said he's always dangerous because he got that power right uppercut under left hook from de niro found the target there he's got the bit between his teeth now isn't he still fancying it time is running out though frampton just become a little bit more vulnerable in the latter stages of this contest [Applause] be careful moving around and jumping with that left hook with right hand though from frampton bounces off to there though didn't it he's not hurt by that [Applause] there's another left hand from daenerys trying to walk for upton down get him into range for big shots right hand as well there just from the ear there from closing the range john [Applause] frampton you heard jamie moore say keep the distance but make sure you keep working [Applause] [Music] looking tired knows me frampton he is and daenery is winning this last round so far but he needs more than just to take the round he needs to put frampton down he needs to stop him [Applause] just a little bit short with that right hand there frampton [Applause] coming up towards the last 30 seconds frampton is just that time away now from victory surely tired now as well he's looking to survive he's done enough got enough thrones in the bank to win the fight he's got to make sure he doesn't leave his chin hanging out his corner and he's promoted frank warren imploring him to let his shots go and here he comes here's the grandstand finish from frampton big attack from frampton and there goes the final bell and the two embrace another tremendous display of sportsmanship but surely there can be no doubt frampton has produced another tremendous performance and another victory i thought he was tremendous after the the lackluster i guess performance it was called in in his last fight tonight he was sharp accurate disciplined did everything right now the crowd knows the winner and danae you know tonight a little bit late but he just i think there's four runs the best you can give than air tonight [Music] just look i think denise just left a little bit of pace and his shoulder against the shaft for carl frampton tonight who i thought was was one of his best displays here kyle franklin [Applause] i know that wins attack fight looks looks like it's going to happen for john some of the words a little bit over emphatic from carl frampton apologize if you're offended by those but you can kind of appreciate in the drama of the moment at the end of a gruelling fight a sense of justifiable relief for carl frampton de niro with his promoter richard shafer and maybe at the age of 35 after so many great nights he might say enough now is enough he's had a you've had a hall of fame career and if this is his last fight he's lost with a really good fighter so there's no shame and he's he's been a pleasure to watch i mean and he showed glimpses of of the alden air he just couldn't sustain it and you know i think i think he was well beaten tonight he only came on strong really in the closing stages when frampton perhaps aware that the work had been done went into if not survival mode he was certainly coasting a little bit for the last two three rounds but it was by then the work had been done so we can go into the into the ring now because thomas treiber has the judges deliberations and we can find out now what the scorecards are ladies and gentlemen after 12 rounds of boxing we go to the judge's scorecards and all three judges steve gray sultan and yeti and patrick morley scored the same 117-11 all in favor of your winner by unanimous decision and now the wbo interim featherweight champion of the world from right here by a six-point margin on all three cards carl frampton the winner belfast celebrates nanito de nair dangerous yes but ultimately very well beaten by the belfast hero the wbo belt is around his waist and he can move on now because windsor park beckons he's lived up to every word he told the belfast newspaper reporters this week he would deliver a performance that would be remembered for 30 years and you can file that right at the top draw of career best nights so far he has turned it all around tonight some doubted whether he still had it we now know anthony joshua so composed and controlled when he got in front in his last big test at world level and it was the same sort of feel i think in the second half of this fight steve by carl frampton here tonight would you agree absolutely there were moments in the second third and fourth or maybe even the fifth round when he was quite brilliant he was as good if not better than he was in that hot summer fight against leo santa cruz in new york and then he started to calm down and settle down and he coasted there were rounds there where he boxed brilliantly not having to do a lot just flicking out once or twice but more than that staying out of range and danger because it's clear it's obvious richie from the very first round that the nair could hurt him with every punch he threw absolutely clever display there from frampton and what impressed me also was his mental discipline he had to stay really disciplined there throughout that contest against a very dangerous opponent and i thought the tactics were excellent in bringing daenery on to his punches i thought it was just like the leo santa cruz first first fight four and when frampton actually went to him on the inside that's when he was a little bit vulnerable and got caught with the odd shot but you've got to remember donaire's a world-class operator so that for me is a brilliant display compared to his last performance let's remember he wasn't quite up to much was a year carl frampton but this time that was the real deal that was the real for carl frampton but he couldn't have done that without the 10 rounds in november thank you fellas ronald mcintosh is in there and he will speak to carl now carl frampton remembered for decades to come you've delivered a master class tonight what are your thoughts and feelings on the performance you've just produced i knew i didn't want to you know i didn't i didn't more on tonight because as you say he had some success in the 11th round he appeared to have some success in round number seven as well how badly shaking up if at all how hurtful were his punches when he caught you on the ropes with those uppercuts it was a sharp puncher throughout and uh 11 front i would definitely hurt you or marriage people could see it you know i'm not going to deny it i was hurt but i survived it and that's what champions do to survive and um the needle dinar i just like to say what a nice man and his team and everyone around him good good people and can i say can i say one thing as well my uh my wife christine and her family have had a pretty rough time recently we had a few deaths in the family and the anniversary of our father the other day as well i wanted to come out to a song something inside so strong and some egypt played the wrong tune so listen i want to fake winter park let's do it most certainly the display that you produced it was composed it was cool you controlled things both from distance you appeared physically stronger on the inside how important was the game plan that you put together with jamie moore and how pleased are you that you were able to stay disciplined and implement it so effectively i think i think jamie deserves a lot of credit the gameplan was perfect and we stuck to certain shots throughout the whole camp and when i was on the outside i was using my jab to the head and body which is what we were we were doing in the gym when it got close i needed to be really close and use my strength which i've done i wasn't really in the middle distance too much and when i was in the middle distance i got caught but like i was fighting a world-class puncher a world-class fader and i was a world-class gentleman and uh look at uh crowded jimmy for coming up with such a game plan carl stick with us we will speak to you more about the future in a moment jamie if you could come in and have a word your second camp with carl frampton the first fight you had just seven weeks together and you said in the lead up to this one you learned far more about one another what was it that you learned and how were you able to implement it tonight to produce the performance that performance that carl executed so well i just think that a fighter like kyle or any fighter for that matter they have certain habits certain ways to move i learned a lot more about him in this camp um mentally physically all around but um you know for him to be able to carry that game plan out it takes a lot of skill it takes a lot of patience focus and he carried it out to the team i've got to say you know nanito donaire is a legendary fighter he's uh maybe passed it a little bit past his best but he nevertheless he's very very dangerous and he couldn't afford to take any risks he took a little one-to-one down there last 30 seconds you know i'm sure the fans would have loved the fight to be all the way through but no risk spread to winter park indeed jamie congratulations on coming up with that game plan frank you're the man that can make windsor park happen you've heard what carl frampton wants to do how likely is windsor park who's it likely to be next you've got the ibf title taking place at ellen road lee selby josh warrington is that going to be the winner of that contest going to be next for carl at winter park in the summer well first of all do the fans want windsor prague well we're going to do windsor park that's where we're going we're going to be in windsor park in august we're going to be there and obviously
