Ok, now we are heading San Cristobal Second day of traveling I didn't record much in the border, it's a bit sketchy there some people have said to me that it's been "caliente" it means it's been dangerous with narco battles Hi my friends, thank you for comming to this video today we are going to San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas so the purpose of this video is that you get to know how much time you take to get there, how much money you spend I'm starting my joruney here in my house in Lake Atitlán and we are going on Chicken bus, or "Combis" in Mexico It's around midday here so I'm trying to figure out if I'm gonna make it to Mexico today, or I'm staying somewhere else around the border so lets get going and join in my trip So far we've gotten to "The Migrants Monument" we are about just 10% of all the journey So here we are with José he's from México, we are going to his country right now he's been a while here in Guatemala, as you can see he is a photographer So far I've spent Q40 it's been pretty good, but we will see how it goes later good, so here we are in "Cuatro caminos" and as you can see there's a lot of traffic it is the third time that I'm here in the year and they are still building this bridge that's why there's always a lot ofr traffic in the area, a bit caotic right now I'm walking towards the buses that will take me to Huehue amm... it's about two or three more hours, depending how the road is I don't know if there are landslides since it's been raining a lot so we will see how it goes I think I', gonna sleep in Huehue today because I left Sololá late during the day or maybe I'll try to get to Comitán but we'll see Ok, so far so good I just arrived to Huehue, it was around 5 hours, from lake Atitlán, San Pedro la Laguna So far we have spent, around From San Pedro I've spent Q65-Q70 to get here, it's been cheap and really nice, the idea of all this is that you get to know that Guatemala has a lot of nice places to offer places that are not that known Ok my friends, this is the second day of trip I just woked up, right now I'm gonna be heading towards la Mesilla after we wiil be going to Comitán and later we will be going to San Cristobal I really recomend you guys comming to Huehue one of the best, or one of my favorite departamentos top three or top five of Guatemala there's a bunch of other places, that I'm not gonna be able to show you in this trip, but I hope you can come around and find it for yourself So, here we are now in la Mesilla I'm gonna show how's everything around here right now we're gonna walk to the border, since the Chicken bus leave us around a 10 min walk away later we're taking a Combi to get to the place where Mexican border offices are so we still have a lot of things to do Also, we still need to print some paperwork to be able to cross the border Some interesting facts about this area are that there's a lot of trading, a lot of things you can imagine you can find them here a lot of businesses around here there's a lot of cheaper things since in the mexican side there's some products that are cheaper and in Guatemala others are cheaper too so... all this street is full of commerce until you get to the border and in the other side of it too Ok, so here we are in the border now we are about to go out of Guatemala from here to get to mexican migration it's aroud, well in Combi 10 minutes, it is close but it's safer in combi and as you can see to go from one side to the other it's completely open Ok, so now we're in Comitan it was around to arounds from the border I didn't record to much in the border, to be honest I was a bit scared people has said to me that it's been a bit "caliente", I mean, it's been a bit sketchy recently there's been narco shootings so, I'm gonna explain you later how was everything there The border in general was ok the mexican borders in general are often a bit hard they are always asking you a lot of questions I'm just going around 7 days to Mexico so this time I didn't need to pay anything, but the last time I came here I paid approximately 600 pesos that is around Q250, I think after migration I took the bus the bus station is literally next to the mexican migration office like 50m from it, so you can get there I paid 70 pesos to get here, right now we are going to the central park and later we are going to San Cristobal Good, so now we are heading to San Cristobal that it's our final destination it's around another two extra hours, I'm not sure how much I have to pay we'll see right now I'm walking towards the station, it's about four block from the center of comitan so see you in a bit Ok my friends, we have arrived to San Cristobal de las Casas to get here I spent Q150, approximately it was Q90 of Chicken bus in Guatemala and in the mexican side, that it's cheaper I spent 150 pesos that it's around Q60 so anyother question you can leave it in the comments if you have any other doubt, about the border any other information you might be interested of. See you on the next video
