CARD PARTY 2: Experiencing the Pokémon Card *EVENT OF THE YEAR!*

[Music] [Music] what's up Legends we are here at card party 2024 I don't know about you guys but I'm super excited about this the energy right now is just insane people are waiting in line the doors are getting ready to open about maybe 15 minutes so guys I don't know exactly what to expect this weekend but hoping to take you guys along the journey with me so let's go see how are you all right got my badge let's go [Music] [Applause] [Music] Welcome to Hard party J [Music] 2 thank you all right Legends had a pretty great time yesterday definitely lost to do here L of SE it's a little overwhelming but uh yeah I definitely expect today to be even more packed as um anyone who didn't get a 3-day pass wasn't actually able to attend yesterday so anyway guys I'm excited to see what's in store for today let's go so guys I'm hoping to give you a glimpse into what you can come to expect if you attend one of these events in the future this is actually a 3-day event starting yesterday on Friday which was the time to get registered and it lasted about half the day this year card party is held at the Hilton Orlando and many people are staying at the hotel as well now me I had ended up staying in this pretty sweet Airbnb with my friends that I made through collecticon so I actually had the Pirates of the Caribbean room it's pretty cool but a great group of guys we got to hang out a good bit play some poker rip some packs in the evenings it was a lot of fun now before the event started they had a little get together at the basketball court for Content creators this has definitely been a great event to connect with other creators and I've already learned about many other channels that I didn't even know were out there it's honestly crazy how many creators there are just within the Pokemon space in fact I got to spend a good amount of time hanging out with one of them my friend Java Akuma definitely go check out his YouTube channel as well we were some of the only ones in our friend group who weren't actually vending at the event so we had some time to grab some meals and attend the main sessions which usually took place in the mornings and the evening [Music] [Applause] [Music] gox CH we have together 8 hours to put each of us a single card in here and we have to have at least 1,500 cards in here after 8 hours you all want to be a part of this now guys if you're at all familiar with the card party event last year for the first one they actually attempted to uh set a world record by the most packs opened and uh they did complete that world record and so this year they're doing something similar but they're doing a different challenge this year they're actually filling the biggest Pokemon card binder ever and it's a pretty massive binder it's pretty crazy so we have until about 5:00 p.m. today to uh get a card and uh insert it into the binder and uh so I need to go find my card for uh for the binder myself I think I might try and pick up some sort a Dragonite card you know put my name on it be a part of History so guys let's go see what we can [Music] find all right big shout out to Mike and Dom big fans of the channel I really appreciate them they actually gifted me with this night Wonder booster box really generous of you guys thank you so much man you guys enjoying yourself so far yeah we're having a good time we really are having your name Jose Jose nice to meet you too all right me and Jose are going to do a pack battle which uh what set are we opening um temporal temporal nice pick pick your pack first I'll be the one right under there ready one two we got okay got a cutie fly oh oh good game thanks so much you want it cuti Fly you sure it's yours so cool so this is worth one point what team am I giving it to I go team silver way all right silver silver silver would take the point he'll take the card now guys you and I cannot imagine what it takes to put on such a big event like this and so I wanted to do something special to say thank you to Pat Flynn the pocket monster for putting on this event for the community so what I did is I actually went and created a sketch card specifically for him and it features Back to the Future and Pokemon and uh he's a big Back to the Future fan so I really hope he likes it I hope I get a chance to deliver it to him today so let's go see if we can find him and uh we'll hand this over to him hey I don't I don't know if yeah good to see you too I don't know if you remember me from uh B set two pack yeah thank you again so much for that I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting this event on I uh yeah got your switch pod this thing I've had this thing actually before you even started YouTube aming but I wanted to actually give this to you I know you're a big Back to the Future fan um I've actually a sketch artist for Tops and so I wanted to give this to you no way that is sick thank you so much hope you enjoy it is it okay if I do a quick photo with you yeah awesome so as you can see there is a lot to do at this event that really makes it stand out from other events of its kind but I think another really cool feature is the content creators and influencers who show up at this event who are not just backstage the entire time they're actually out in the hallways meeting and greeting their fans and for those who watch these guys on a weekly or I'm here with Paul and his daughter so Paul has just helped me to get four of these cars that you can collect this weekend and the significant thing is if you collect four you actually get to use the uh what is it called again goton machine gachaan machine I guess it's some sort of uh Japanese um vending machine so I'm very excited I had just got the creater card not too long ago from a possum bud but now we got our fourth one so man thank you so much really appreciate it well literally the minute after I had filmed that uh basically a uh kid came up to me and he asked me if I had a crater card which I actually don't have my own crater cards but I did have my one from aasum so I just let him have it so now we're down back down to three so we got to get one more card if we want to use that little machine so uh I kind of want to do it now so guys there was a little competition that went on over the weekend gold versus silver for Gen 2 so if you participated in different activities you'd be able to earn points for your team including the trick shot challenge right here which I had a lot of fun with and of course you could also do this to earn one of those cards all right well now we have a fourth card we got the trick shot challenge card all right let's go ahead and try out that uh Japanese vending machine hey four and this perfect thank you thank you thanks so much all right so we have some special prizes we can get inside and I guess there are only six of a very special gold one that you can get let's see what we got guys all right and we got we got the ente that's pretty sweet again I I showed it but it back are you going to get well it was about this time that I realized I still had not picked up my card to insert in the binder for the Guinness Book of World Records challenge but I knew exactly he'd be able to help me yeah you got a Dragonite uh reverse Holo or something like that I just need a Dragonite for the binder need a Dragonite for the big binder I was thinking I was initially thinking like a 151 maybe reverse Holo S I just had a I just had a Dragonite Japanese regular Holo which is actually a really nice card oh okay um we have to look your miners all right make you do the work huh dollar all right there we go I do like this start oh wait wait wait wait that's a CO but but even but who but who is this I can't read this well if we if we cut this paste it on top I see oh oh oh you want know the ray came through again we got if I can pick it up here we got the uh Japanese isn't this uh evolving Skies they got the Dragonite V s7r I think it is back to C party thank you for having me we counted you for a new Guinness World Records attempt at most people putting trading cards into a card binder in 8 hours so again the mark to beat was 1,500 today you had 1, 73 [Applause] [Music] [Applause] thank you so much everyone and great job [Music] today you did it today guys you did it you [Applause] are now each night they hosted trade nights just right here in the lobby and while I've been to other trade nights at similar events what I tend to notice is it's just the vendors selling to vendors it's not what I would expect which is people just opening up their binders kids trading cards but that's exactly what went on here at card party so that was super refreshing all right guys well it is Sunday yes this is a 3-day event we're on day three right here uh we've been doing a lot been having a lot of fun so far got to connect with some cool people got to network a bit uh what I haven't done yet at all though is actually purchase any cards so uh I would like to at least get one card today so let's uh go into the ventor hall and see what we can find in there so they got the different panels going on in the uh the main room some different stuff going on so it's pretty empty in here right now so I don't know now might be a good time to scout things out not that it's been like SE crowded the entire time in here but it's definitely fairly empty compared to what it was yesterday hey can I see the uh Charizard and the [Music] suun looking for a swirl let's see [Music] give me a sh go don't let me down what do you think I take a look at the AL Kazam right here what are you asking on it 220 which basically like a PSA price okay are you trying to sell them as a set I mean ideally I mean I'm I'm open to breaking them up for the right [Music] price thank you all right guys well I've wandered around the uh vendor tables for quite a while I uh you know I definitely looked at some cars something that would look kind of interesting to me but none that I'm quite interested in picking up uh this time you know honestly it's been uh only about 2 weeks since uh Orlando collected con so I bought a lot then I'm almost like wed to just slow down a little bit for this time but there has been one card that I keep seeing every time I pass over the uh Bulbasaur's table over there and uh I think I may want to go pick it up let's go see what kind of deal we can get on [Music] it hey man doing good an eye in this can I see that for a second thank you I on Corners is there any wiggle room on this one cash uh I yeah I could probably do cash or maybe even um like you do take trades right uh yeah % you said 80 oh okay um probably be at like two what would you be at for cash 200 200 that's pretty solid traded like yeah honestly the cash seems fair I appreciate it all right guys Charizard V Max bts1 for 200 not too bad considering what PSA goes for yeah exactly there you go man appreciate it thanks so much thank you have a good one you too all right guys we finally made our first purchase we got the bgs1 Charizard Vmax man I literally just picked up this card for the first time raw at collecticon a few weeks ago but man this just seemed like too good of a deal to pass up and he even uh knocks some off for paying cash so he paid 200 for this um I believe it last sold was around 300 so I don't know I I felt really good about this purchase I really love this card and to get it in 10 pretty awesome so anyway guys uh a little bit bigger purchase today so we'll see if we can find anything else today or not but uh either way I feel good about this nice momentto for the trip at least hey you want to play you got left ready all right let's [Music] see oh I think you definitely won that [Music] one now I have to say that the very best thing about these events is getting to connect with the community so many of you walked up to say hi and I really appreciate getting to meet a lot of you I'm just so thankful for all of you who have supported me in the Channel all this time and if you guys couldn't make it this time please make it to the next card party and I'd love to meet you [Music] there all right this crazy man just bought this the mega Shank alternate art Shanks from One Piece op1 romance Dawn the hit of the set first first manga ever ever in my possession so really stoked to pick that one up that's awesome are you are you selling these or are these still on display no no these are all okay just making sure all right well guys got a major deal going on right here with Brandon got uh these awesome plushies right here going to get these for two of my girls so I think we're going to go with uh the Eevee my daughter Ally likes Eevee I think uh I got a 2-year-old I think Psyduck might be a good one that seems pretty fting you have a change I do have change sweet awesome my biggest deal of the day thank you yeah most important deal today that's for sure and well this day has just flown by but I got a card for myself got some plushies for the kids I feel good about that man there's just been so much to do here uh that the buying and selling has only been a small part of it but it's been pretty cool I've really been enjoying my time here today well anyway let's head on over to the closing ceremonies to end off the card party toy is thank you guys so much well Legends it was
