good morning everyone so as you can tell by the title I am counting up some asparagus our grocery store actually has them on sale right now for a dollar ninety-nine a pound which is a really good price so we kind of went and bought quite a few of them so I am just canning these up and I'm hoping oh I thought I had them cut short enough I don't oh man okay well so this is what I'm going to do then alright looks about right so I'm raw packing mine I have them just soaking and on the cold water I already have my water boiled and ready to go and honestly this is the first time I've ever I can't asparagus normally I freeze it but I am trying to open sorry can't see under but I am trying to can up as much as I can instead of freezing everything so I'm literally just going to show you the Wonder because like I said I thought I had these cut short enough which apparently I do not and I am using these are the fight and a half jars Bernard and does make them so I'm just trying to make sure I get as much as I can pack into each jar because I'm Ralph well because I'm raw packing it oh I'm stuck why is minor stuff there we go try not to cut my fingers when I do this and I got a nice cut on my thumb now you know what I did oh I know you're going to fit in there I know I can fit more than that in there come on dammit there we go oh now you're just being silly a little tall hmm I may end up by getting a lot more jars and I thought I was going to that piece doesn't want to sit in there right so let's just cut that one down a bit get him in there oh yeah I can still fit another piece come in here get some smaller ones pack them on in there cousin oh this might take me longer than I thought it was going to although this would just be a quick canning session ha ha boy was I wrong ok there is I don't think I can squeeze any more in there all I probably can let's see you know I ain't going all right then okay so I'll bring you guys back when I have all of these darts actually filled up full then they'll probably take me a good half hour so we'll be right back okay so I ended up with a quart jar troll nut Porter as I'm sorry my apologies I ended up with 506 sorry six hot pint and a half jars and 2 liters or quarts of the cut ends this one here has half and half because well i was just house it played out for that jar I'm just trying to find I thought my camping salt was right there was it is like if I'm ever organized in a video yeah there's something wrong ok so I'm going to add half a teaspoon of salt to each one of these jars now you don't have to add salt it's just it's a preference thing I've already got my water ready oh I just fell on my ID bubbler Oh where's the oats right there you want to have that inch of head space and I'm trying to be bubble this the best I can which isn't working all that great because I really really packed these jars really tight some of them pushed up that's okay they'll settle back down now I need goodness like I said if I'm ever actually organized there's like something going on there we want to wipe our rims find your lid because I don't know where I put my put your lid on there and then fingertip tight there's something wrong that band no okay there's just me fingertip tight and then into the canner this go and I will have to go down and get my other tanner because all these won't fit in there and I'll show you this one the cut-up bits pieces this one will be a little easier to do bubble because these ones aren't packed quite as full as the other ones and you know what in the winter this will still be darn good eatin it may not be as pretty it may not be as aesthetically pleasing to the eye but you know what in the winter time when you want some asparagus and it's like $4.99 from something that's from Peru or wherever they come from I'll take this alright so then that is going to go actually I think I'm going to put that in my other canner so I'm going to set that one aside but I'm just going to keep going on these and I will bring you guys back oh yeah sorry these can for 40 minutes because they're classified as quart jars if they were pint jars it would be thirty minutes and I'm actually going to use that canning at that teasers pleasers posted on my some video to remember what I'm going to give that a try let's see how that goes so I'll be back and I'll let you know what I think of that Andre know that they already they don't have a rock pack method on that because I did look at it they only have on the cooked method which I didn't want to do for these so I'm kind of not following the rules on that on ready that's okay so 40 minutes at your altitude mine's 10 so I guess we'll be back when either done now the canner okay and here they are here are the spears you can see there is some can you see that I'd go over that way bit okay gene see there is some room down here but these will settle down and go back down like these are still bubbling like crazy every one of them had sealed which is nice and here you can really see excuse me they are really floating but that will calm down they will come back down into the liquid there but yes there they are and I can honestly say I won't be using that canning app because I just don't like it it's a little annoying I'm just going to stick with putting a timer on and being good with it so I hope you guys enjoyed this and I already text the husband and he said yep he'll be picking up more so I'll be canning up some more asparagus some point this week so yay we'll have asparagus for the winter yay so I'll talk to you guys soon bye
