Candid Camera Gold: Supermarket Trap

[Music] Young Jay G suggested that we arrange one aisle in the supermarket so that when a shopper walked down that aisle he suddenly discovered that he was all closed in on all four sides by merchandise now here's the way Jay's idea worked out in real life now here you see this lady who has been shopping and and she's in an aisle which we have pre-arranged there goes one closure and she feels very content and secure until she notices that the other side is closed in too now from time to time we'll give her a chance to escape if she can uh negotiated it on time but uh like a draw bridge that comes down where you just about there she's back in again now she's going to try some very unusual devices to break down the barricades uh you know it's kind of a funny feeling to be surrounded by canned goods and other merchandise watch this the walls come tumbling down she almost made that a battering ram now next we have a man who must have sort of begrudgingly accompanied his wife on this shopping trip and you can see he's not exactly having a ball to begin with now she's very leisurely surveying all the canned goods and now she discovers that what should be an aisle is closed actually the CED camera is hidden behind the section that she is only a few inches from but but uh he sort of suggests maybe they ought to go down the other way she examines the wall uh tries to push it a little bit and having no success she's going to make her way down the other end now in a moment you're going to see a slight uh map on our part the Candid Camera itself was caught a little bit off guard and we didn't catch the entire section of this film but pretty soon he persuaded his wife to make her way down that aisle and we open the aisle just in time for her to get by but when he tried to get out he missed the boat again now you can imagine how you would feel surrounded by nothing but canned goods without a can opener Insight all right finally a gentleman who is having enough trouble in this lady's world you can see that his shopping basket is empty he's looking probably looking for a brand that his wife told him to get and he can't find it and then on top of all of his troubles he finds himself shut in he going to go over the top so first he thought to climb the barricade now he's going to storm the gate on the end there and these packages are rather precarious you know he's going to toss one out maybe you get somebody's attention oops he realizes he's in for a scrap so he takes his glasses off you know and uh it gets a little panicky there for a moment and he jumps up by this time we've got all the other Shoppers in the supermarket off to one side so he's he sees absolutely nothing out there no no aisles you know supermarket and uh we let him secluded that way just for another moment or two and then slowly and gradually we opened the door and he almost made it now he says I've had it fellas and he decides it's time for the walls of Jericho to come tumbling down you know and little by little he get more and more bold and pretty soon you'll see how he opened the gates to Freedom one little push helping a b and now he's out in the open un ca
