Paradise and gorgeous golf courses at night Cancun and folds to a life of its own without rageous nightclubs Cancun is on the Yucatan Peninsula on the far east coast of Mexico in 1970 Cancun was just a small fishing village with a population of only 140 people then the Mexican government organized the development of this resort area which now is a worldwide vacation destination Cancun now has many luxury hotels in all exclusive resorts with all the amenities you may desire Cancun City is actually a sprawling urban center with a population during 1 million will be staying at the resort area the long stretch of beach is home to the more secluded resorts at the north end there are the more popular resorts shopping and infamous nightlife we arrived at Cancun Airport it's modern and one of Mexico's most popular airports resorts usually provide transportation if not shuttles are available they accept the US dollars down here but pesos are going to get you the best deal ATMs are popular in a safe way to get a good exchange rate the drive from the airport takes about 20 minutes along the lengthy stretch of beach there the more remote secluded resorts they tend to be more expensive the north end is the main resort area nightlife entertainment enjoying the beach is the number one activity here in Cancun how can you resist this beautiful warm Caribbean water funny ball we're on our way to Tipton itza we are on a two hundred twenty mile trip from our hotel staying in approximately three hours to get there the whole trip is going to be about nine hours our first stop is at a Mayan village to soak up the local flavor of indigenous people this is the stop in tune Cheers licorice while we're here on our way to Adisa we're having our lunch here it's a wonderful book bay lunch looks good and see we finally made it three hours on the bus we're here at Chichen itzá is truly amazing we have a sprawling complex here built by the Mayan civilization we're going to look around and see what we can find here it's interesting to see the cool hook-hand pyramid which has become the iconic symbol for the Mayan civilization when you look at the back side it's actually unfinished they only had enough limestone to restore the two sides there are many stone buildings here in Shenzhen itza there's a large ball court where players try to get a small ball through a stone hoop ironically the winner had the honor of being sacrificed there's also an observatory and other fascinating buildings don't be surprised to see vendors hawking usual stuff here we had a great day at the pyramids and I'm enjoying it with a nice Corona with my buddies here meet you back at the hotel we were feeling adventurous and decided to go to market 28 in Cancun city we took the r2 bus and got off just a few blocks mark 2:28 it's a fun maze of small shops here's a tip you find something you like you should buy it is it a walk away from the shop you may never find it again we found a nice restaurant that was popular with the tourists remember if you're interested in venturing out of the safety of the resort area be careful and guard your belongings I can't wait on a beach sir by dollars a nice teacher for you man so what I got here one Mexican minute to look my ship our shortest trip was to sylvatica which was only about 40 minutes from our hotel we wanted the full jungle experience so we opted to go with a 12 zipline circuit which has been flying through the jungle halfway through the zipline circuit that started raining Hawaiians have very slippery which made it all the more fun we did we just finished twelve zip lines it was quite quite an experience I've got one power tip for you we're sure you don't mind getting dirty I sure got filthy I got I'm now proud owner of this brand-new zip line t-shirt some people are having way too much fun we had the opportunity to visit us no day mother nature's natural sinkhole and had a great time there's a zip line jump into the water well we made it to the cenote where you go take a little dip in the pool nobody everybody's doing good we are over here to help you engage then you don't know how to swim and you go down so we can take you up you know at least tell your family than understood all right Oh today we're going to Tulum it's a two-hour bus ride from our hotel today we made it to Tulum this is a Postclassic Mayan city it's the only Mayan city that was built by the ocean it's actually quite stunning Tulum was the first Mayan city discovered by the Spaniards during one is all over the Yucatan but here in Tulum they seem to be everywhere look at the space carved in stone just minutes from Tulum we went to xel-há a natural inlet from the Caribbean Sea it's one of the world's most beautiful natural aquariums the park is huge and very clean they even provided free locker and key to keep your stuff safe and dry here we have areas where you can swim up the dolphins you can go snorkeling you can do zipline all sorts of activities we're going to go check them all out right now I'm seeing some fish out here and I'm going to go explore some more we made it's been a long day we've been snorkeling we crossed the floating
