[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] alright it's time to head home long day at rpm Motorsports [ __ ] gonna try to race me you don't want none by [Music] so didn't get to race little baby but that would give you an idea of a little bit of the power that this thing has headed home and I get a lot of you guys asking about this truck and some particulars about it like is it good on fuel mileage how does it drive so I thought I would do this little video of me riding home and give you guys a little bit of an explanation of what it is to daily drive a Tahoe with this much horsepower so I'll roll the windows up cut the a/c on because it is still 86 degrees here in North Carolina alright so a quick rundown on the truck is a 2004 Chevy Tahoe z71 the stock 5-3 the heads cracked on it so I was burning cooling all the time you know it's mark it would smoke when I started up and all that kind of stuff so I put a new motor in it probably about three years ago which was sock blogstock crank and then I put a new set of rods and pistons in it with ARP rod bolts just stop GM Pistons so it's about nine and a half to one compression and I drove over like that for a little while with just a real small cam a cam out of an ls3 actually and got tired of not having any power so I put a little bit bigger cam in it so this is a Brian tule truck cam Stage two I believe I honestly don't remember it's not that big but I want a little bit of sound out of it so we went on a little bit further and I put headers on the truck he's got pacesetter headers on it pacesetter countless y-pipe and just a Magnaflow muffler and it used to go all the way out the back but the lovely magnaflow exhaust gave up on me so now it's dumped at the axle so it's little droney in here but it's actually not too bad so with that combo the truck made 320 rear wheel horsepower so I had the opportunity to buy an LSA blower so I did that and I put that on the truck probably about six months ago with the ITC bill and adapter plates different front drive and all that kind of stuff and we're running right at ten and a half eleven pounds of boost at the very top so with that combo on e85 I'm making 530 rear wheel horsepower so I'll figure out what that is to the crank because that's gonna be the title to this video so yeah everything everything on the trucks great I mean it drives good after I put the blower on it the truck lasted about two days and the transmission decided to fall out so called up my guys up at rpm transmissions and I ordered a 4l60 still level six plus which I don't know what that means I'll put a link to their website in the description below you guys can check it out but the transmission has performed flawlessly so far absolutely love it and I in front of that I put a Yank SS converter so it's got the good billet stuff in it single disc lockup but I don't beat on this thing while it's locked up so no worries there running down the highway not too bad but I do drive this thing a lot so I'm actually sitting in traffic right now a lot of you guys ask about fuel mileage so I will look that up right now average fuel economy is 8.3 miles to the gallon which is not really surprising being on e85 and I'm not very nice to this truck when I Drive it I am NOT wide open all the time but I like leaving stoplights fast and stuff like that I've never launched it in four-wheel drive don't ever plan to I don't want to break anything else after I put the transmission in it about three months after that the rear end decided to give out on me so now we have new AM gears in a Detroiter track in the rear end so we're just gonna roll this thing down the road a little bit and give you guys an idea what it sounds like [Music] [Music] all right so just rolling down the road here I wanted to give you guys a look at the gauges I live kind of in the country so 55 60 miles an hour was about all I do back and forth to work you can see like 1600 rpm at 55 oil pressure is a little over 60 colon temps little below 210 half tank e85 the oil pump and this thing is a Melling high-pressure high-volume the old one that I had was going bad so I put this one in it and it brought the oil pressure up probably a little bit too high but I'd rather have it too high than too low all right so I know what everyone likes seeing is speedometer videos so when I get around the corner here I live on a real back road there's never anyone on it so all from like a 20 roll all this hammer it's hopefully won't spin still do have 24s on this truck and I'll do a walk-around when I get to the house so that you guys can see what it looks like but I'll hammer and run it up to like 80 just so you can see how it accelerates [Music] okay so here's what we got just your standard Tahoe like I said 5.3 liter LSA swapped I do have meth in the lid but it's not hooked up yet I need to hook it up because I about run out of fuel at the top of a quarter-mile Pole so yes pretty much it nothing out of the ordinary I do have a nice tank up here in case I want to run ice normally just has water in it when I get a little bit colder I'll throw some Dexcool in it just to make sure that it doesn't freeze and then the heat exchangers behind the grill pumps down behind the headlight the front drive on this uses a six rib belt which isn't really ideal but with the boost level I'm running I've never had an issue with it dropping boost at a high rpm I have developed a belt squeaks I need to dig through here and see where that's coming from I'm guessing I'm just wearing out the belt it is a green HD belt though a little cold air hot air tube that I made and a little K&N filter no catch can everything on the crankcase has just been into atmosphere one goes into the filter and then I have one on top of the valve cover over there Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator I do have a big in tank pump from deej works so 530 horsepower to the wheels still on twenty fours still on cheap tires I'll put a clip in from when I was at the drag strip spent 1290 before [Music] [Music] [Applause] but yeah that's about it so for everyone that was asking that is a rundown of if you can daily drive this the kind of fuel mileage kids which is terrible I will always run 85 in it just because it's cheaper and I like the way that it smells I'll I won't ever put pump gas back in it and unless I need to but if I need to I don't have to worry about the tune the computer takes care of all that for me so more Tahoe videos to come I want to get it back to the track on a smaller wheel entire combo let's try to go a little bit faster twelve nineties is cool I never thought this truck would go 12s I think it went a hundred and five miles an hour so be I'm moving forward I'm just gonna tinker with this now as far as I'm concerned it's done so little things like math different wheels and tires just to make it a little bit safer and a little bit faster so I want to thank you guys for watching don't forget there's always a link in the description below for t-shirts and that's it you'll see you guys next time [Music]
