Sam is able to navigate through the labyrinth of our modern hysteria while the world argues at the gate. I truly hope his voice is registered by the masses.
Will be interesting to see if Sam gets huge blowback from this. I could also see people being afraid to even comment on it.
Although based on some of the comments in the other sub, it seems like a fair number of people didn't get a proper understanding of what Sam said in this podcast...although I suppose that probably shouldn't be surprising, since a big part of the problem is the shortcomings in human perception and cognition.
This was a good episode. About as intellectually honest as one could hope for.
Submission Statement: Sam Harris takes his time to articulate his points about current events after being quiet for a short time. Protests, civil unrest, racism, and police violence.
I couldn't agree more with Sam's take here.
Listened to this today. I normally listen to podcasts at about 30 minutes at a time but found myself unable to press stop and listened to it all in one. Thought it was fantastic and expressed a lot of concerns I've been having in the past few weeks (really the past few years but magnified lately.)
