Smartphones and all the related innovations that make them possible are nothing short of miracles if you think about it in context of technological progress and human civilization. They are utterly amazing. If you feel like you can't control yourself when using technologies like this, then you need to do what you have to do to come to grips with that and learn to manage your interaction with the digital world.

Give me a break. Smartphones have detached me from my laptop and desktop, it allows me to go to the beach or spend time with a friend because I can still be on top of things. I can read email while waiting in line, or look up something when I need it. It allows me to hang out with my kids in the living room and not be stuck on my computer in my office. I think many people can relate to this.
