Can I Watch My Own Videos to get Views on Youtube? | Experiment with PROOF!

i watched my own youtube video 200 times just to see if it would boost the views on my channel and to be honest you might be surprised by the final results getting views on youtube can be a very slow process especially when you're first starting out but is watching your own videos a great way to give yourself that little extra boost or is it just a waste of time i watched a lot of other videos on this topic but nobody had a definitive answer on how many views you can give yourself by watching your own content so i decided to find out for sure for this experiment i set up a brand new youtube channel just in case because manipulating views is against youtube's terms of service and i don't want my main channel getting banned or deleted so after i created the channel i needed a video to start giving some views too and to make things a little easier for myself i uploaded a very short 10 second clip to the channel so it won't take me too long to watch this 200 times but i am still gonna break this experiment down into two separate parts first i'm gonna watch the video 100 times when logged into this account that i uploaded with and then i'll sign into a completely different account to watch it an additional 100 times just to see if that makes any difference in registering the final views now this should take me about 30 minutes to complete all 200 views so i'll see you on the other side [Music] okay then that is now part one completed i've now watched this video 100 times back to back whilst using the account that i uploaded on so now i need to switch over to a completely separate account to watch it 100 more times but i have decided to make a little change here what i decided to do was upload a completely separate video for this part another 10 second one just so it's easier to see both sets of results in the analytics later so that video is now uploaded as you can see and i'm now going to switch over youtube accounts to a new one and now i'm ready to start watching the video 100 times once again let's go [Music] okay then there we have it i've now finished watching both of these videos 100 times and i'm going to come back in a couple of days time ahead to a few days time when we can look at those final experiment results so here we are it is now 48 hours later and i've just opened up the youtube dashboard of this experimental channel and what i'm going to do now is show you the final numbers from this experiment and then i'm going to break down the results a little bit more because i actually made another big discovery since i watched the videos 200 times and i really want to share it with you but first results with the first upload i watched 100 times with the same channel as i uploaded with and as you can see from the 100 times i watched it youtube has only registered one official view so not too good now let's take a look at the second video which i watched with a separate account and on this one you can see that youtube has registered two official views so now let me break this down into three key takeaways that you can use for your channel and that extra big discovery first it is very clear to see that watching your video 100 times looks very spammy youtube has clearly seen this as an attempt to manipulate views so replaying a video excessively within a short space of time is a big red flag for them and it just doesn't work for racking up views secondly i heard a rumor that you could register between one and five views if your video is longer and you watch it for at least 30 seconds but i'm sorry to say it's just not true these videos that i uploaded were only 10 seconds long which some people suggested might be working against me so i did another quick experiment on the side for a longer video which i watched for over 30 seconds 10 times in a row and i could only produce one view from that so the length of each of you doesn't make a difference when you're watching your own videos and finally we have the biggest takeaway from this experiment there is a very good reason why the second video got two views instead of one and it wasn't because i logged into a different account the reason that this video has one more view is because i accidentally clicked off and onto the video leaving the video page and clicking on it again from your channel actually helps to register a few more views than just replaying the content on the video page to check this i watched another video multiple times by clicking on the video from my channel and it let me register five views before they seem to stop being recorded so in conclusion can you watch your own videos on youtube to get more views well yeah it is highly possible that you can give yourself between one and five views every day without getting into any trouble the only thing i would say is just don't go too far with it because that's when it starts looking like spam and you might get into a bit of trouble thank you so much for
