Camping in Lincoln County New Mexico

hey guess what it's been 18 months almost since we've done what camping and we're gonna go to the mountains we go and they are calling and we must go on yes we're here in Las cruus New Mexico we finally got a place and we're going to head out and head up to the North and the East the Lincoln National Forest and maybe even some volano Fields all right here we go and so yeah we have to go underneath one freeway I 10 over by the university take another Frontage Road and uh up to I25 okay [Music] yep a little hazy today a little hazy in the tul Roa Valley there's white sand Missile Range we're going to be driving through and the mountains over there [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey guess what everybody we're we're camping oh yeah and uh it's in the 40s already so I think we're going to we're going to just um head up and we're not going to close things up but we did get this wonderful new annex and uh that's fantastic we can uh get in a couple of different sides this actually pops up check this out if you can see the tree up there but uh beautiful stars we had our new fire so uh new little fire pit and we ate and it was toasty and now we've just got beautiful stars up here you probably can't see anything up there but um yeah gorgeous so when we go in check this out okay we can zip this down and we got access to getting in the car and then we just be up right up here it's a little bit steeper but uh you know not bad see in just a bit well did we survive barely it was cold it was very cold but check out this Campground Baka Campground 20 miles east of Capitan like 10 10 I think we were the only people without a diesel heater last night and uh it got cold but we Sur survived hey how do you like this Annex huh first night with the annex and uh a little bit interesting to set up but uh I got to tell you this morning sun comes in here heated that right up and that was nice to get into and of course we just step right up in there into our into our bear cave and we've gotten two of these foot things the other one goes over there I already took that down and then like I said last night they think of everything because that's just a zip that goes all the way around but if you wanted to get if you need to get inside your vehicle there you go I'm not a professional YouTuber so I didn't show you be making my coffee [Music] n [Music] oh [Music] let's go see where Billy the Kid was incarcerated we're in Lincoln New Mexico I've seeing these all over the yeah look at uh how thick the walls are yeah to the Dolan store these guys were mean guys it's the old Lincoln cany Courthouse bil leave the kid to she's in the C night two things uh went up a lot better tonight of course it's uh not dark so that helps what do you think is that epic enough for you there we go Sierra Blanca in the distance we're in the capan mountains so we're looking South little bit windy but I think we we'll be fine we've got our fire in the fire pit if we so desire what are we eating tonight Taco in a bag yep oh we got the new jet boil working now that we figured out how to plug it in this morning we plugged the propane into the wrong side it just wasn't working so it's working really good now BLM land got to love it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] well we came up to find the mju campground and look what we found we're going to go up there oh that's Ski Apache over there what a monster fire so I'm assuming this is mju Peak then I don't know last night we camped right on that Ridge and kind of that saddle and you can see the Prairie on the other side cor oos over there Al mordo Las Cruses El Paso yeah the riodoso area then the first night we were out we were over there in the cap 10 mountains I mean we're in the cap 10 mountains both nights but Lincoln is down through one of those valleys Fort Stanton what do you think awesome here we are hey we made it
