hello viewers have a good day welcome to another tutorial in this tutorial we'll learn how to prepare land surface temperature from lens at 5 and then set 7 satellite image in arcgis so in this tutorial learn how to prepare lens service temperature seven satellite image so both the satellite image has this similar kind of formula for the preparation of length surface temperature so here I am showing you the total three step for the preparation of land surface temperature or calculate the land surface temperature first one is the top of the atmosphere or in Lambda that is L maximum minus L minimum divided by Q Cal Max minus Q L minimum so all of these value actually available in this MTL file within this within the folder of the satellite image that we have already downloaded then qtl minus ql minimum plus L minimum after the getting the result of L Lambda we'll go for the second so for the calculation of T that is K2 minus Ln T1 minus L Lambda that means top of the atmosphere and third step is the conversion of Kelvin to the Celsius degree Celsius temperature so these are the three easy steps so let's start so this is our landsat 5 satellite image and band Six band Six why because it is a thermal band and we can chew the we can calculate the length service temperature by using this band Only okay So within this special analysis tool we can see map Apple algebra and here after calculator so open your raster calculator okay not only that you should go the catalog and here you can see the MTL file okay so this is the landsat 5 MTL file and this is my folder where I downloaded my handset uh five satellite image okay within that you can see here this is the MCL file so double click here and I want to show you the first step is the foreigns first is that L maximum and L minimum so go here go below you can see here Radiance maximum that means L maximum and the quantized scale maximum that means the cuticle maximum minimum okay so at first the radians maximum here you can see band number six okay Max emblem below so this this is the maximum value just copy it okay so give a at first give bracket double bracket okay then paste it here L maximum so this is the L maximum okay again open it so this is the L maximum and this is the L minimum so I can copy it l minimum So within this minus then paste it aluminum close bracket you can see here okay we can minimize these so we can see very easily this one okay so L maximum minus L minimum then bracket close then again divide then again Open brackets now Q Cal maximum you can see here Q curl maximum minus Q Cal minimum so again go to the mdl file here you can see here Q Cal or quantize scale maximum and Quantum has Cal minimum so this is the band Six so this is the highest value two five five so copy it paste it to five pack minus minimum value is only one okay so copy it and paste it okay then again go to the yeah so you can see bracket close then multiply by Q calc this Q equal is the band Six okay so at first close the bracket double bracket then multiplied by bracket on means the when six okay minus minus you can see here minus Q10 minimum so what is the cubicle minimum you can go here qql minimum is the one okay so copy it is one then close the bracket then plus you can see here minimum [Music] Radiance medium or the band six so this is one point two three six so paste it here okay so again we can reverse this this is the L maximum this is the L minimum okay then divided by Q equal maximum minus equal minimum double bracket multiplied by Q Cal that means the bench minus cubicle minimum they get close plus L minimum okay now save it so I want to save it within this uh I want to prepare new folder here LST 1990 okay and I want to sorry I'm going to give the name g o a or you can give ill okay top of the atmosphere or 1991. so extension should be teeth okay then click on OK so this is the first step and within the second step you can see K2 minus Ln plug it start K1 divided by L that means number the atmosphere plus one so we can see here you can search here you can go below and you can find foreign this one and K2 this one so our third step is our third step is Q2 minus Ln so start with raster calculation so first check bracket Open Bracket and K2 K2 means this one copy this K2 paste it here then divide by l n and Ln actually found within these years okay Ln and give two breakage then K one go to again here Intel file copy these paste it here then divide by which one this top of that person that just previously we prepare okay double click here then plus one and close the package okay so this is a simple formula K2 divided by LM open the brackets Q 1 divided by the atmosphere it close minus sorry plus one this one last one you can see once more plus one okay then right here that is the l dot P or you can write here Kelvin okay then save click on OK now you can see the third step third step is whatever result will come as a temperature that will be minus 273 minus 1 5 okay because the result will comes as a Kelvin and we should convert this value into degree celsius that is why you should sub start value from 273.15 okay versus complete the last step is double click here raster calculator then click on L Kelvin minus the formula is very simple to 73 minus 1 pi okay rows and minus one pi and I save it as LST l s t okay Celsius 1990 dot text so this is my file name okay then click on Save click on OK and now you can show the LST the answer is temperature of this satellite image in degree Celsius value in degrees celsius okay minimize all of this previous layer so this is our NSD of the satellite image now go to properties click and check select this one apply an ok click Zoom to layer so now you can see here the high value showing the radiation color and the green value the lower temperature now you can see here if I click here to layer so this is our study area okay this is our start area and I want to find out so I want to LST for this my study area so how we can do go to extraction click extract by Max layer so this is the LST Celsius DD Celsius then click here select your study area and write the name as like well SG 1991 dot if okay save then click go to environment extended and go below sorry last analysis mask okay okay so close it close it jump to layer I can go to properties go to select visual one apply and okay so here you can see the maximum temperature has a minimum temperature of this study area so this is the simple tutorial Please Subscribe my channel for more video and more update thank you thank you again
