[Music] what's popping y'all michael we are back with a just my taste video we got a special guest uh jason derulo what was that what's probably man how are you bro hey hey appreciate you inviting me to the pad that looks great by the way thank you we man today to do a cake ah between jason derulo and just michael and the judge of who's going to be winning today is the one and only jonathan is going to be judging us today two categories we're going to do the presentation right right ten points and then we're gonna do the taste another 10 points so out of 20 points whoever has the most amount of points we're gonna win okay amazing so my first question is jonathan what's your favorite kind of cake oh what's up hey come on come on boom boom boom i mean this is even fair enough i mean like the judges oh come on now boy there's family ties in this just throw away my ninja star yeah but we're cooking not ninjing okay we're gonna go to target we're gonna each have five minutes to get whatever we want to make as our cake whether it be the cooking supplies whether it be the pan itself everything only in five minutes and then we're going to come back we're going to just bake the the trick about this is we're going to have only one minute to look at like how we're going to bake the cake okay and then from there we're just going to have to go off of our memory so that's the challenge so we get to just take a peek of the directions but we don't get to look at the directions yeah okay yeah all right so um what's your favorite candy nothing cricket let's go all right let's go to target i'm sneaky so they're going first they're going to be they're going to be following me into target but because i don't want to see like what they do what i'm going to do where i'm going to let jason go first and that's going to give us time we're going to figure something out i think i want to go with a a light fluffy cake i think i want to do something like like a a vanilla you know what i'm saying and then hit him with the chocolate outside and hit him with strawberries around you know what i'm saying and then surround that with freaking ice cream oh so good let's go all right he's following us so i think i'm gonna do the whole idea with the vanilla uh get the chocolate syrup get some ice cream hey should we split up we have five minutes i know or no we should stick together we should stick together yeah yeah because it'll be faster to get everything meanwhile yo so we doing this cooking competition man and honestly i just got way too much experience you know what i'm saying so i'm not even worried we're going to target right now this is a big joke you know thinking that this this inexperienced i can't even call him a chef right you know i mean he he should be assisting me not competing against me this is crazy it's your boy we can only use the things that we buy so we got five minutes um i already have the plan on my cake cake with ice cream that sounds really good you know frick i don't know how to bake the cake like i don't know the steps you've never baked the cake before are you serious the one oh i have the one um the one that you put in the microwave for like two minutes it doesn't count at all you asked me i don't bake i know what kids like so what i'm planning on doing is putting all kids favorites uh within the cake kids also like colors you know what i'm saying so i'm gonna make it very bright i'm gonna make it very sweet and uh it's just gonna be impossible for me to lose at that point you know as much as he's gonna want to choose his brother he's not gonna be able to because mine is gonna be way too good at this is the only reason why jason might win because he's probably been telling him jason don't know how to cook you don't know how to bake it's only this guy you all see that you don't see the behind the scenes this is a real jason rule look at that hey where's your mask it's right here yeah relax hold on can amount of time excellence takes dedication and effort and results you know what i'm saying so we're good gucci we got ourselves a checkout line i spotted them right there okay they did it okay look at them look at that mixer how the hell do i scan this possible now they got it damn he just he just talked how do i buy this accordingly oh oh you know it come on now i'm uh i'm i'm a team sport player no did you get everything you needed oh i need i got everything did you get everything you needed man see success and greatness takes time and i had to use every second you know so um we're gonna find was gonna go over the top baby okay you was preparing for like a little snack whoa people like snacks people enjoy my snacks yeah it's more like an apple pie vibe you know what i'm saying mcdonald's this is more like a gordon ramsay you know what i'm saying upper echelon that's more like i'm trying to fight but no but this is this trying to feed everyone this is i have a truck dogs type and mine is like you know something i don't know what you're going to do with that i like apple pie's room hey y'all y'all like mix it yeah this is a cake mix super moist how i like it so i guess you can go ahead and show us uh show the audience what you got go ahead so what i did do i got this one too you want you could have that one as if you want more um so what i decided to do it i decided to do a couple of layers with the cake you feel me so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna make a cookie crumble cake yeah but i'm gonna like top it with uh some of jonathan's favorite candies i don't know what his favorites were so i just got them all so he you know he's just gonna go for his favorite side [Laughter] i got graham crackers i got animal crackers and i got oreos why are you adding graham crackers because i want like a cookie crumble to to the cake you know what i'm saying so it's gonna be different layers different colors different you know what i'm saying so you just get a blast of flavors all right what you got all right so see i went with the more traditional route because you know like it's like it's like a home cooked meals you know what i'm saying i don't need no i don't need that no no yeah it's cute it's cute um i got eggs because that was important first of all okay oh i said you know i said we need everything we can't use nothing from the kitchen so i i got the most important thing support i got the eggs oh hold on oh i got some ice cream oh i got some vegetable oil too so wait hold on i just want to make sure what you guys got um oh this does require oil and eggs so i can't borrow no egg oh hold on let me just keep going um i got utensils to because i needed utensils as well oh i can't i can't borrow no no no utensils oh i i didn't realize that we uh needed to do that because i said we needed everything that we needed but um okay i got strawberries because you want i want to keep it healthy and it's good delicioso i'm saying and um i got airhead uh sour patch i'll explain why we got the sour patch later um uh you got it for a different reason i got it for you know my own reasons so uh oh wow look measuring cup two um oh no i don't i don't need that i measure with my heart oh not a cup you know it's when it feels right oh we got hershey's though now i'm saying because we got the i didn't want to do the typical like uh see look look he had the already made cream now uh this is this is the gordon ramsay style you put it in you melt it you know it's very authentically i've done that it doesn't taste good oh then we're gonna go with the uh i got a circle um because you know yeah uh after that you know i got my reason you'll see my reasonings right and then you know i got a simple why mix so okay clearly both of us um got very different things so what we're going to do is uh we're going to allow each other to borrow to borrow some only one one thing okay all right cool but we got we get to use both of it both of us get to use it okay so one thing of mine that you feel like you need um uh low-key you do need the eggs and the oil yeah okay so i guess okay okay let's let's do two i'll let i'll let you borrow my eggs and my oil in return i get to use i don't even know if i need anything i'm gonna look like a cake listen what if what if i i'll borrow what if i don't borrow any of you can i just borrow stuff from the fridge i don't need to borrow this stuff you know what i'm saying oh but see that was time i added to my time so like it has to be it has to you know i put my what my fridge are you going to use anything from there no no no i was just everything here is what you can use so you got to use your fingers and you don't want to take no i can't use spoons i'll let oh i got you oh i got you i got you cool cool cool so then i'm gonna use your eggs your oil and um and this whisker all right smart choice saving time all right all right y'all hear it now he's gonna be able to use these three things and i'll be able to use this the oreo and the chocolate chips i guess we start right now bam all right let's go let's get it okay y'all so um let's see let's see what uh i gotta do make sure you wash the dishes man so so you know you don't kill anybody oh no i don't i don't need to wash it you know why because they know they don't lick clean my dish no no watch it before oh yeah corona you're right yes that's a smart chef i was testing i was testing them i was testing just about to start cooking over here savage oh huh oh no i'm just cleaning that's a good chef would you always gotta wash your hands because we went to target did he wash his hands damn dude see how wet my hand is huh see that what my hands were washed from me washing the dishes oh it's getting a little hot by the way we only got one minute to look at all the instructions okay mister you were looking at 10 seconds already listen i don't even need to look at the instructions at all honestly i i i do all right ray can you get can someone put a timer on just one minute a timer three two one okay damn heat ah 350 okay reese oh there's only three steps three simple steps huh look at that what is it one cup of water you're good you finish with your what you're one minute oh you need your whole minute oh you need your homework 25 seconds yeah i'm good okay oh what what 25 seconds yeah okay hold on let me just how you know why could i remember gotta crack the mags ah one there we go see look i don't got a measuring cup so i need i need one cup of water so i'm just gonna fill it out that seems about right yes sir can i can i get that egg or three oh yeah yeah go ahead no no yeah oh you forgot about adding that yeah why does it look like this though is it supposed to be like um whoa dude i'm just gonna fill it out you know what i'm gonna take your advice though low key all right there we go i felt it so i just want to make sure it's not too wet you know because if it's too wet it might not be what i'm looking for so there we go oh it's acting who looks more professional do you who do you think knows what they're doing better yeah what what do you mean he knows i have a whole pan doing this jonathan can you trust oh can you let okay how about you taste it first dang don't be so biased right but you have to have the stuff that he likes at least yeah no it's cake it's just you know if you don't slow mo this look at this oh my gosh wow oh jason i forgot um i never used silly me i never used what i needed um can i use your oreos real quick oh sorry sorry about that i just got just some of them just some of them yeah i'm just going to take this right here see this i'm going to scrunch it up it's a practice i've been doing forever you scrunch it up you get this powder and you just want to powder it all along like this like look at that look at this can you get a closer look at that so good that is not powder at all see what i'm going to do is i'm going to take these what'd you say you want to taste some because it looks good right no i said i wanted the oreo you gotta have a little patience for this because you want it there you go i just want the bottom to have like a nice little crunch you know what i'm saying these are graham crackers you like graham crackers yeah me too all right i'm just gonna spread this out now see so so now with adding this in it just kind of adds so much to the cake you know can i oh i gotta use my last thing of uh of uh what you got where's the where are the um the cookie oh i'm sorry the uh um chocolate uh chocolate chips yeah i needed some chocolate chips there you go you know what i you know i was okay you know what i trust myself i got spoon actually came in handy is that cheating wasn't supposed to help huh nothing no so we got the presentation plates um i'm just now just gonna get ready and start going to uh start doing what i need to do so now we're just going to add these in here you know okay one minute that's all you need that's all you need baby chocolate in the microwave whoa oh my god oh it's hot i mean okay yeah i mean we got the uh hershey's here i think the chocolate is melting with spoon it's a plastic spoon it's a little bit it's just bending it a little bit nothing crazy though you know why does this look chunky do i have to put it in longer absolute um consistency absolutely perfect absolutely perfect uh did you take my spoon did you rob me uh you could use to get another spoon bed um i i got to get a i got to get a knife in here all right y'all so as the next chef as i'm preparing and my creation now i'm just going to cut up the strawberry trust the process see look at this this is like an ugly strawberry you think i might add that no you know why cause chefs know what's a good and bad strawberry whoa talk about this i think it's ready see that that means it's cooked this is the funniest thing ever right now it's the funniest thing ever talk about this is your demise oh oh wait almost almost why is it [Laughter] oh talk about success here me [Music] hey this is what i like i love challenges yes i love challenges so now here just it hit me you know my inspiration is going to be an island deserted you know and now watch so now what we're going to do is we're going to shape this and cut it out with the chopsticks oh concepts ready bow straight what did i do i messed up nope it's a river flowing through and i'm just gonna cut that piece out you know why because i don't need it is it is it done i'm just getting started i'm just getting started all right all right jonathan since i forgot i completely forgot you you're judging it already you're not allowed to judge this you actually have to leave and we'll call you back when you're ready we're ready okay all right so now pop that baby in one minute bam speed round now we're gonna go in with the strawberries that looks great oh two two pieces of sour patch and this river wow this actually looks pretty good all right it's not too bad it's not too bad i just want to add a little bit it's nothing crazy that's stunning that's that that makes me emotional there you go okay that's better i know i know there we go and then the last whoa wow that that's something no you know what let me just put mine over here you guys can't see anything else until the end see what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna allow it to cool down so that it doesn't break apart like someone i know you know what i'm saying you just gotta know the tricks of the trade i too once was a novice like this i too didn't know what the hell i was doing oh i don't want that much yeah sure cheers [Music] what do you have to say about jason's other cake so far yes i mean so so far it's like he's just making a simple cake like he just made instructions like ah i'm i'm gonna be a robot step one step two now see like with me i have like creativity i have flow you know and that's that's something that i really feel like will stand out between the cakes and just putting it in the freezer like really like that's where ice cream goes not cakes there you go yeah moment of truth it looks like you were trying to resemble what i was doing where it broke off in one part yeah so is there any creative inspiration behind this uh this thing like what did you think about when you like really honestly when i was what i was thinking about when i was making this uh it's basically winning so i just didn't have to do very much but this already won i already beat you right here but now i'm gonna just like do the rest for myself it's just for me don't sabotage that we finished um our beautiful our cakes and um i guess we're just gonna that's diabetes this is this is a masterpiece this is a spectacle that is a spectacle this at least looks like a volcano what does that look like that looks like you just do this looks like a surprise this looks like everything yeah i'm embarrassed i'm very surprised every five-year-old's drinking you can eat it like every five-year-old's nightmare i'm gonna eat literally five scoops and i haven't even got into the cake yet that's how much toppings you put on no no it depends on how you cut it my friend this is what you give someone for their birthday this is what you give somebody when they cheat on you all right okay okay go ahead so so explain your cake explain your cake so i wanted to do some something unique so this has a cookie crumble filling with graham crackers oreos and the outer lane is it's a it's a it's a it's a an amazing confetti surprise so all of jonathan's favorite candies you know what i'm saying from m m's to the gummy worms to gummies i mean i got gummies that i ain't never seen before it's cherry gummies like look at this this is great and i got a bunch of starbursts spread out you know what i'm saying that's not even that has nothing to do with the cake absolutely what does this have to do with your cake this one over here oh i'll explain it don't worry i know i'll explain but there's a little chocolate yeah no i'll explain this i'll explain you wanna whoa can we go back and um yeah i thought you have don't you have chocolate don't you have chopsticks inside of your cake just holding it together because you can't hold it together can we go back that's because listen i'm gonna cut it like oh this nice display and he gave me the smallest plate he has inside of this house so i had to work with this and if i had this you don't even know what i would have got anyway if i were to cut my cakes in half i would have beat you two times so i got two cakes to pile on top of each other one is strawberry one is vanilla all confetti tell us about your volcano mess oh um i i truly just in i have fake no i i really just got emotional because i i i really put my shoes into jonathan and in his life you know and let me just tell you about it this is jonathan's world you know i i structured this is crazy look this is oh i fell well this is me and this is jonathan right this is this is uh jason derulo he looks a little sad so he has his heads down but anyways um this is uh this is his you know his heart his love and and this is the protection around him that protects him from everything this is his heart his soul and and these are the the outer beings of of hatred and uh and and also love but you know the parts of the hatred no no it's this is a this is the this is the parts where you just got like uh you know strength you know like defend them no no that's that's um no that's um that's the style of the cake i went for it crunchy but soft you know like you're hot on the outside but you're mushy and soft on the inside you know so so that's just decoration because it's burnt um it's you know it's up to you some people do like burn you know um but yeah you know what enough talking i think i think we understand clearly who has more passion in their cooking let's bring in the one and only judge jonathan lee wow dude come on don't worry don't worry come on the name but he got more than you but he's not an 11 yeah he's right definitely maybe all right let's just go to the actual this is a real test now hey make sure you don't get the chopsticks part yeah he put two chopsticks in there is that gonna lose points no well you didn't eat the cake you gotta eat a little more okay you like that okay [Applause] okay let's go over here to me now don't worry savor it and then finish it off with a either strawberry no this is a part there's a part of it do you want this or this jonathan one spoon no one spoon all right what do you think [Applause] all right hold on hold on hold on brother oh and those oreos in it dude it just tastes jason's name it was like good and it was good for a second and then it was bad yeah that was the burnt stuff that was the actual cake you tasted so the ice cream was the good part and then as soon as the cake touched your tongue [Laughter] it doesn't taste that bad yeah you know i like it all right guys this has been adjust my taste you won i gotta give it to you fair and square i appreciate it man man honestly i think i want to buy a bit of a longer lot uh it was like one two three it was like three points yeah i was only three points but no but you still want you know respect to you uh anything you want to say to the audience um yeah you know um thank you for tuning in you know what i'm saying we had a lot of fun today we went to target we um we battled it out uh honestly i've never made anything like this and especially by myself you know i didn't have any help so it was a little if you didn't have my help in the help of the ice cream you probably would have got a three because you covered the entire cake with your ice cream because you know how it really looked you know it was pretty crazy i appreciate you being on man it was fun because at the end of the day i appreciate you for being on here and um and yeah dude we gotta do this more often absolutely because hey next time i don't know when it's gonna be but i'm gonna get better y'all watch we're gonna look back at this moment and be like dang michael really improved he really put his heart into that and it's gonna show this is my first time cooking the cake you know a bacon cake me too but yeah i know you know if i got an eight in a well i mean he is your brother what's that supposed to mean he was he was probably going
