back again with your weekly update of what is she gonna knit today [Music] hey what's up i am literally shocked by the amount of people who actually wanted to watch my video last week i can't believe it i can't believe it's been a week and people are still watching it i don't know what came over me like wanting to knit like a ton but i can't stop and i think i have some sort of like a project high every time you start a new project it's just like oh i need to do this constantly i've already i've already started another project um so just ignore that again i think i'm on tick tock too much or it's just like these 14 year old girls who keep like coming up on my instagram feed and they're just looking like preppy like i go to a private school kind of look but i also look like a dad you know i wanted to make something that was really easy something that i can make within a week i haven't made anything for myself that's cable knit and i think it would be really cool to do like a really easy design i have this this blue yarn i only bought one and i wanted to challenge myself to see if i could knit something with just that one like ball of yarn i guess i love the baby blue color of it it just screamed out like i am a little girl and i go to like private school i wanted that time and so that's the vibe we're going for i actually made this pattern myself what am i saying it might be a little hard to follow if you wanted to just because i was really eyeballing it i i'm really bad i just like kind of go with the flow see what i like uh which really bites me in the ass when i have to like unravel but i wasn't gonna quit it no i really loved all your guys's sweet comments it was really nice to see it makes me want to make more videos i guess let's get on with the video okay essentially you work mid back upwards you add shoulders in and then work onto the front you then combine at the armhole where you are at the mid and then you work downwards then you add the collar and the sleeves at the end okay so i casted on 56 stitches i made it so that there were six knits and then you purl one and so every other knit you have a cable yeah so to do a cable you essentially knit everything normally just during this one row is where you twist it which i did for every 18th row [Music] the one time i actually went outside my boyfriend made me sit in the car while he got a haircut so this is me just progressing through i don't know whose haircut takes an hour but here i am i was actually really scared someone was gonna walk by and see me looking like a sad sad person knitting but as you can see i've already done both like the shoulders which are just you pick them up from your cast on stitches so then you'll keep going onwards you'll actually cast on the neck portion and then keep knitting you just knit the front side until it's the same length as the back side and then you combine where the armholes will be so i started this on a friday i was working on it i think i finished up to the back portion and then on the saturday which is me in this car i was able to finish the front and i think the body portion [Music] i was really yellowing it i had no idea whether it was going to fit my head or if it was going to fit my body i kind of just was guessing at this point which is probably not the smartest of me because i was putting in so many hours into this but i really wanted to get it done so i could post a video for the tuesday i was actually really surprised with myself being able to finish it this is me briefly showing you what i use to cable so i have this little hook where i'll pick up the stitches knit three and then knit the stitches that are essentially on this little needle it's really difficult because there's no stretch it's very tight as you can see the most tragic thing happened but you just pick it up and you keep [Music] going [Music] so this is my boyfriend coming in seeing what i'm doing i don't know what he was thinking turning around like that but essentially he farted and i was disgusted okay am i the only person who loved silly bands back in elementary school because i just found some the other day and i can't stop wearing them i think i wear them in the shower and i don't care mine are a star and a cherry i used to have like this huge box but it's gone now a lot of people in the comments were saying that they didn't know how to make a sweater and they thought it was too hard but honestly it's really easy you just need a couple basic stitches that you know and then you just have to know how to sew in so i was thinking of making a video kind of describing the basics of what you need okay so i've connected both of the front and the back at the bottom of the armhole and i'm knitting it in the round now [Music] okay i just gasped at this part and i look so sad i'm watching demon slayer because it just got on netflix and everyone's been raving about it for some reason and it's so weirdly sad because people actually be dying and it's not okay but yeah i love watching videos while i knit it's so relaxing i think i admit because i have so much anxiety it just helps me calm down recently i just finished shit's creek and i'm so sad okay on to the collar i've picked up just kind of every other stitch and i'm doing rib as always i didn't show it but i did the italian bind off method just because it gives a better finish rather than you doing just a normal bind off the problem with it is just that it takes so much longer to do so here i just wanted to show you these little pins that i have from clothes that i bought where it's just to show me exactly where i needed to make the cable stitch and so it's just a really helpful way so you don't get confused [Music] oh my god i love doing these shots because it just makes it look so cool i was really happy with the results i just it's really simple it's not a hard cable stitch at all you're just doing it all in one same direction and then when i tried it on holy moly i speechless absolutely speechless it actually looks like a shirt that you could just kind of buy from like h m and i i'm living my puppy dreams yeah so i wanted to see how it would look like with other clothings i wore it with this skirt tried these jeans i thought i was so cool not gonna lie um i tried on this shirt it was kind of weird but i thought harry styles would marry me with it so okay i know this is the same intro because i'm filming this after but don't hate me this is what i came up with i don't know why but like i'm in love with it it's so little like soft oh my god i could wear it with this shirt oh my god i didn't do this on purpose i swear it's really nice it's really it's it's not a lot of cabling if you really don't like cables i wanted it to be really like something you wouldn't really notice i guess it's just like a release one little detail these parts aren't cabled and then i i'm not cabling them like i would say as frequently it's very spread out and it's like the same on the back i love these videos because it makes me create things and make more things and like making something like this i would have never done if i wasn't like pressured to make a video and i just think it's so nice i'm sorry i'm like looking at myself in the viewfinder but like do i look good in blue like okay so let me know if you
