foreign [Music] I forgot to ask you too uh what's your label um when you had mob figures you went to jail yeah and you did you do a deal with get paid yeah yeah if you would get paid man me and Mike what's going on you know do the thing you feel me yeah and uh that's how that happened yeah and I could I just did an interview with juice he spoke highly of you and said that uh you was the like influence of his major influence in his rap career and uh and he talked about that mob figure situation and get paid and how you was the one instrumental to them even [ __ ] with them over there I was trying to help them Mike was in Mike was deep yeah it was deep out there you feel me so I'm like me and him was cool right well look come over here let's do this yeah get your labels let's do this right here [ __ ] you got the money [ __ ] what the [ __ ] you feel me that's all that was about um the song um you can't [ __ ] with this mean Spice One who was on there is that the uh not spice one is the boy you can't [ __ ] with this oh boy you can't [ __ ] with this yeah oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah what about that what's the story behind that so that that song was written in Seattle about the Seattle uh I have bought a car from a lawyer some [ __ ] went to jail Regal the Regal so some [ __ ] went to jail guess and uh I don't know if he was a stand-up [ __ ] he's ratted on a [ __ ] whatever the [ __ ] but I wound up getting his car from the lawyer so when I had the car I guess these [ __ ] probably thought that that was him you know what I'm saying so they got on me you feel me and uh it was chasing us around and [ __ ] you know what I'm saying and you know we're shooting trying to you know because there was it was a couple cars but that it was a car behind me they were shooting that too but they found him chasing me and I wound up jumping out on them with my [ __ ] and then that's that's all that little [ __ ] um Seattle was dangerous but I knew that that song just from the streets you know like uh that that was a real oh yeah you know what I mean real situation um what's your speaking of Seattle and um like all these Casey's Seattle's all this Fresno L.A like what's your biggest what was the biggest market for sibo my biggest Market probably was um Kansas City oh uh Oklahoma wanted some Minnesota it's like it's some that Midwest that's it huh can't really put it put put a pin on it but that's where it's at um when you we didn't we I'm all over the place but birds in the kitchen right when that dropped I already knew I think a lot of fans already knew but you know it's a lot of this [ __ ] makes you one of the greatest storytellers also you come from that era telling stories in your raps you start off like on a lot of these raps about what you was doing right right you know what I'm saying how it's a lot of Truth to birds in the kitchen yeah I was sitting on the couch and my man was in the kitchen yeah yeah you know what I'm saying yeah he knows that I just and then there it came right there yeah I left that [ __ ] and went straight to the studio and did birds in the kitchen how did how did 40 get involved uh it was like a remix it was like oh I'll shoot a video to this song Somebody put 40 on the hook you know we didn't know I said I put 40 on the verse you know what I'm saying it is the beginning of my you ain't knowing too much about it you feel me so let's put him on the hook get him in the video you know what I'm saying they played it on the radio too that version did how much um love did you get from radio no none at all man which is to be expected because he was the ball head nut yeah I'm saying it's always I don't know I don't know everybody got their favorite people you know what I'm saying you just gotta be tapped in I guess you know what was your relationship like with X-Rated that was my young homeboy that's my little homie like you know what I'm saying they from the same neighborhood Garden block like he's from Lynch neighborhood 21st Street song for 29th Street and um my brother was putting the money up to do his first record okay one of my young Brothers you know was hustling and uh I think I was in white ass some [ __ ] you feel me and they was working on his record you know what I mean so but that's my little home that's my Young Homie we could we good you know I mean that's why um I also thought it was wild how at some point even though it's your partner like and y'all from the same hood and rappers you know ended up selling oh yeah yeah well that's what we do you know yeah he was in it he was in there when I was passing through so right fighting this case so you know yeah that's what we do we move homies and sales and [ __ ] yeah and it was only right yeah yeah but you know and a lot of times you know we look at this [ __ ] this [ __ ] to the outsider this [ __ ] look like a movie like you know what I'm saying like this is somebody you know you know what I'm saying it's not just that it's a [ __ ] from the hood it's that he a rapper too you know what I'm saying like we're in the county yeah that's crazy um he got into this big old dude right in the county and you know actually he's real short [ __ ] so uh I'm like what you gonna do Diggy you see I'm gonna get some bleach and I'm acting like I'm gonna drink it I'm gonna throw it in his face right and that's what he did damn he walked up like he was drinking some did he threw it in his face it was bleach wow yeah yeah that's it um young mouth yucky how did y'all start that Thug Laura's thing that's some of the most crazy lyrical [ __ ] that they never said huh I heard him a knick-knack the song he had you know what I'm saying it was a song this is Dick I said is it so much drama so much drama yeah I said this [ __ ] right here dog like dope fiends you Leo what no that's numb so uh yeah I know exactly crazy nuts on there and I was like man I gotta do something with that dude you know what I'm saying I never met him and I think one time I went to Rick rock house and he was there and uh was I do something and he was he was uh he was like man we need to do a group album you feel me and we came with the thug Lord um and [ __ ] that's what we you know that's when we started doing music and [ __ ] together that's crazy that's crazy that [ __ ] y'all made some [ __ ] classic [ __ ] too um where does where does sibo as an elder Statesman in hip-hop stand with the um rappers in your city because we've seen the public spot with Mazi right um and it all didn't seem like it stemmed for much but like where do sibo stand with the rappers how many big homie like all of them you know what I'm saying they know it's something from an area that will hate me forever that's only one area right you feel me the rest of them they know you feel me I ain't um pushing no weight in them but they know what I'm about right right stand for what I will do what I want you know what I'm saying so it's love it's been nothing but love yeah you know I've always gave them [ __ ] love feel me yeah that's what I do I'm a big homie homie you can't be a big homie if you don't love the young homies you can't be you can't and you can and and like I tell OG's all the time you can't be in competition with them I said yeah we did it's daytime let me see what y'all [ __ ] gonna do man I should really if you're doing something wrong I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna check you on it that's the really [ __ ] I gotta know what's right and you gotta know what's wrong ain't no in between you know what I'm saying that that's how I I'm here right now yeah and one thing that I can say respectfully is that in hip-hop one thing hip-hop turned at 50. so we need to mature with this [ __ ] there's been a lot of spats and it's staying on wax because we we get world star in this media [ __ ] this phone [ __ ] in our hands and all they show is negativity but rap on wax has existed forever I'm talking about disses right so let's keep that [ __ ] like that too like to all you youngsters you ain't got to live that [ __ ] out because you have a disagreement with somebody ain't what this [ __ ] about you know what I'm saying they don't know what hip-hop is though yeah I know what hip-hop is right you know what I'm saying before the gang in the in the gangster rap it was hip hop you know what I mean I want to be a rapper that's where the epmds and you know enemies and all that [ __ ] you know and it was hip-hop rappers you feel me that's real [ __ ] you know Rakim all that type of [ __ ] you know what I mean like [ __ ] I wanted to be like Rakim [ __ ] you know what I'm saying that [ __ ] was flowing he was rapping like I used to know all that [ __ ] lyrics Man Without a beat you feel me so I'll be forgetting to say this [ __ ] name but he's one of the [ __ ] that he when I was a young [ __ ] yeah I'm listening to [ __ ] like that Rakim set that standard man what and another thing bro I've been telling older rappers like don't ditch the style of the way these [ __ ] right even though you might not get it but the reason I say don't this day style is because the first rappers were saying hip hop The Hip so we don't you know what I'm saying it's so much this shit's so broad you can't this nobody is Art you gotta be versatile you got to be able to go with time homie that's real [ __ ] are you stuck in the 70s and 80s and nine whatever the [ __ ] you stuck there that's your problem you got to be able to advance you got to be able to catch up right I mean right at least staying tuning in pocket with these dudes you know right um and your music you attacked a lot of racial issues is that from like experience experience life experience as a kid it's always the white man right to me it's like okay yeah they got all this [ __ ] set up for us to fail you see what I'm saying like Okay I'm an American but I can't get a gun I can't have a gun license but he can have a gun license okay I committed a crime when I was a child so that crime prevents me from having a gun I ain't killed nobody I haven't robbed anybody with a gun you feel me why don't why I can't have a gun license to check to protect me and my family it's just a lot of [ __ ] that ain't Fair that's real [ __ ] you feel me it's always going to be like that you know what I mean like you know it's hey you look at it that way there ain't no happiness out here so nah that's real [ __ ] that's where my raps come from you feel me it's like you know hey [ __ ] the Black Panther [ __ ] the Kunta kinta [ __ ] though you know that [ __ ] the eyeball [ __ ] the I want to say this Bo um because this don't happen either right you made the billboard several times right and One Life to Live was number 12 on U.S r b but gas chamber was 53 after y'all gave away all of those units right redistributed and it was 50 down like that's my first record first record independent but we talking about arguably the greatest year of hip-hop we're talking about doggy style Mack 10. we're talking about Max we're talking about Wu-Tang right we're talking about some [ __ ] Nas you know what I'm saying I'm talking about the [ __ ] that was surrounding this area and for you to actually chart I'm trying to because I also try to show people where you from how much we was involved like [ __ ] [ __ ] were no kicked to the curb kick to the side [ __ ] these [ __ ] were factors right you know what I'm saying and so for you to do that [ __ ] independently and to make billboard like that's crazy we're number four twice on Billboard twice four twice number four man that's [ __ ] crazy you know what I'm saying that's [ __ ] crazy man and and so one thing I'm just trying to let everybody know is that you know you you got to look at this [ __ ] from a broader perspective stop looking at it from what [ __ ] Ain't did or what they don't do for us or they don't look at [ __ ] we mob that's what we do we've been doing it independent right um back in more modern times something that made the headlines and rest in peace to that brother I know he was a father and [ __ ] that uh the brother got killed at your video shoot the recent one does not yeah like recently right right yeah um I think that was a video with live right and and that was all over this [ __ ] was super sad you know and they you know talked about his story and who he was and and things like that like not going backwards but in in the forward progress talking about rappers right we've been seeing what's been happening in the rappers coming from sibo how can you move because that's something you can't prevent right but how what can you do out here to try to like lessen the probabilities of [ __ ] like that happening and uh can you stop it if anybody wants to do something they're gonna do it um you know what I mean it's hard to stop somebody that's that really wants to do something if he gets his balls to do it he's gonna do it you feel me he can't stop nothing like that you could be prepared more you know more prepared you know have more security out there or more people looking around or whatever but when you having fun man and your surprise is a is gunshots you know what I'm saying you know you don't you don't see it coming you just hear it you know so it's the you don't you don't be ready for that that's real it's humilitary you feel me and everybody in the military they stay looking around and just looking at everything and that ain't having fun you know everybody wants to be a part of it instead of protect it you know what I'm saying for real [ __ ] that's what that's what [ __ ] fail at real [ __ ] you got to protect this [ __ ] bro no that's real bro no you not the security all of us have to protect this [ __ ] you feel me that's real yeah um before we get out of here I want to mention this too because you worked with I I'm you talked as you spoke with DJ Screw before and it showed you how much he respects you man worked with Daz Dillinger before uh had you super slapped man I just want to highlight some of these because these are legendary people that you work with right now we on the eve of sibo performing at Oakland I've been arguing with fans for a month have sibo ever performed in Oakland yes okay one time sweet Jimmy's okay sell out they said it got turned out though how'd it get turned out we was in there so you finished your show all right we finished the show we went outside it was thousands of peoples outside we just sat on the cars and just was kicking it it was just it was a good night it wasn't no turnout unless somebody fart or something yeah no I thought you know what I'm saying we didn't know about it yeah yeah but we had a [ __ ] man we had a blast well let's let's say what year was that bro 94 so 28 years later same spot Soul beat Chuck Johnson again the new Chuck Johnson that one was the old Chuck Johnson same spot same spot sweet Jimmy sweet Jimmy's is New Parish oh today [Laughter] you know what I'm saying yeah that whole [ __ ] dog it was the whole [ __ ] with this [ __ ] and cars and just people everywhere we repeating that tomorrow man that's a fact man but I just I love Oakland though it's like one of my favorite places in the bay you feel me yeah straight up and and shout out to Chuck and soulby man they in here man and um we um we looking forward to this event man I I'm I'm looking forward to hosting I'm looking forward to seeing marvelous looking forward to seeing spice I'm looking forward to seeing the people being so happy to see sibo man this excitement that I'm having during this interview this is everybody Man this ain't me like it's somebody that's gonna watch this [ __ ] and be mad as [ __ ] me for not acting something you know what I'm saying like that's that's how this [ __ ] go because we you know you know Bo like it's almost like um it's a treat for us that you not Overexposed right right but the world moves Overexposed so sometimes we forget right but for right now we about to get a treat you know what I'm saying like we about to see you perform this [ __ ] I never seen it right so for me to be able as a fan to be like damn this [ __ ] really performing songs off gas chamber he really finna go in he finna do this [ __ ] like like you know it's big and um man I can't wait bro I was going down it's going [ __ ] down um can we expect marvelous jumping back on your set spikes jumping back in can we expect some I don't know I hope so I mean you know uh I guess when spice get here we figure out you figure it out yeah yeah uh you know me and marvelous got something we doing you know what I'm saying so I'm bringing marvelous so I'm gonna bring pizza out you know what I mean yeah yeah it's gonna be big man I'm gonna take this part of the interview and edit it now so I could put it up so people could see man tomorrow is going [ __ ] down you know what I'm saying legendary hip-hop day legendary moment legendary platform so be uh we gonna be there no vultures Bo anything you want to say to the fans before we get out of here hey man just keep staying they know sibo my father everywhere oh everything everyone you looking on sibo my father can you teach some of your older counterparts that man to keep their [ __ ] the same you know what I'm saying that's how you do it man if you want a [ __ ] to find you and contact you man again man thank you both man appreciate it um for for you know being on no vultures man like for me this is a bucket list
