BUYING A TESLA MODEL Y LONG RANGE IN 2024 | Best Time To Buy?

and welcome back to the channel today is a different Vlog day we something we've never done before we've actually never done this before and um we're at Starbucks right now and that's not what we haven't done before we are heading down to Cincinnati to pick up our Tesla Model y it was available Thursday night for immediate pickup and we said let's just do it we've been talking about it forever uh-huh um so we're heading down there right now this is exciting I the whole process is so cool you you did everything in the app I mean when did we decide it was Thursday night Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. we paid the amount that you have to pay to like reserve it and then literally did everything through the app on Friday it's been super simple and the hiccup to this is we currently have a vehicle and it has a loan on it and we are selling it through carvana so not only are we testing the Tesla process process but we're also kind of testing the car process so far so far it's been smooth 100% yeah so this is pretty cool but um but first Starbucks first sip feeling and then an hour drive down to Cincinnati so let's go so have to do our pre- delivery they have like a pre- delivery in the Tesla app so right here oh there it is here yeah I think so it's it's one of these three that the same lot for your destination one of them right there arrived congrat congratulations what it say really play at all but this is exciting isn't it yay okay we got it now we're going to get a thumbnail oh we got to send the [Music] docks got to get gas already I'm just joking obviously this don't take gas but Abby needs it oh wait I wonder if Abby wants me a pumper gas for her the pumper gas you need me to pump your gas yeah yeah okay I'll pay for it same card that's all I thought I was going to have to pay it's it's really cold out here I know all right carvana just got here they are inspecting the vehicle now they're going to take it for a test drive so I had to hand him our license and the both keys and she's out there inspecting it right now yeah both of us had to be present cuz we're both on the title that's why so whoever's on the title has to be present so carvana came today and they did the evaluation they test drove it um they are actually going to pick it up in the next 48 hours so they pull it on the street they have basically the keys in a lock box for the guy to come get it the tow truck for the flatbed and then that's it so this was actually an extremely easy process and it is still 8° today 8° is the high today it's frigid cold but um man I would totally sell a car and carvana again all right so we got the Tesla yesterday today Sunday um and we didn't really drive it at all we've got the worst time ever it's like so freaking cold which obviously isn't good on batteries for the car but um we did have to supercharge yesterday because our charger shipped but it's apparently not going to be here till the 22nd and today is the 14th the 14th and I ordered on the 12th so it's like 10 days um so I'm going to be gone all week so we won't drive it anyways but we did go to the supercharger last night and it was really cool took 30 minutes um to charge it probably like what four people there yeah it was really cool though first supercharge backed in Tapped it put it in that's what she a lot of places are like that a 11 what was it at before like 30% 30 to 80% yeah was 11 um and then we played uh karaoke which was really fun with a real SL Shady please stand up we're going to have a problem here y'all act like you never seen a white person before Jaws on the floor like Pam me burst in the door car carrier I'm not good at karaoke that was pretty cool and then we watched the little Tik Tok and Netflix cuz it has Tik Tok and Netflix in the car only available while Park came home and put a little campfire on the screen when we got home in the garage yeah it was very neat used the cruise control and stuff um there's a lot to learn for sure on it I did read the manual a little bit in the app um pretty much as I had questions I looked it up Abby hasn't driven it yet I I'm kind of scared scared I'm a little intimidated honestly you are yeah there's like so many buttons that I just have to be like well there's not so many buttons there's only two buttons that's true but I feel like there's like a million things to do with just one button but maybe we'll do like a little review video after like a couple months a month of I who knows how much driving we'll be doing I guess it's the best time to really like test it to its faults true
