BUSY HOME SCHOOL DAY IN THE LIFE || ABEKA ROUTINE || EASY MEAL IDEA

[Music] hey guys welcome back to my channel today i am just going to be doing a vlog i thought it'd be really fun to kind of take you through my day i always love watching vlogs when other people do them so anyway if you are new to my channel hi my name is angie and i am a homeschooling mom of two little girls i am actually in the middle of doing school with abby right now she is i believe on writing so becca has different subjects um you know just like your typical day at school for children and right now she is on her writing segment so i do believe there are seven seven or eight subjects that they do a day i kind of like lose track because we combined some of them if you guys want me to go ahead i have gotten so many comments about people kind of like wanting me to kind of take me take them through our day with a becca because there's so many questions i know some people are debating on whether or not to use a becca and we were too we were there and we absolutely love it so um i'm gonna go ahead and show you guys like what she's done and where she is like in her day and kind of explain that because that's really the only thing i know to kind of show you guys but we're wrapping up her second grade year which is so crazy because i feel like she just started it but she'll be done in july so we're on day of 136 out of 170 so we are getting close [Music] do [Music] [Music] all right we're going to let the chickens out kevin likes to leave the door open out here he just comes out here after work and he hangs out with the chicken so it makes me laugh they are [Music] i don't think i ever showed you guys our chicken coop that kevin built i still can't even believe he built all of this i did help him but i'm not gonna take credit for it but he got it complete a few weeks ago it's pretty big we don't plan on getting any more chickens this is pretty much it i think we have nine we lost one but he put the water back here and there's like a line and then they can go and drink from there so that's where their water is inside and then there's a big barrel inside where they have all their food so it's like a never-ending supply of food that they have access to and then we have the water out here but that's pretty much it [Music] times [Music] so with a becca you get i've talked about this before this manual and it goes through everything that you're going to be doing that day this is the seat work portion and then if you flip back we've been putting bookmarks in here so this is like day 151 and it goes through everything like bible what she'll be teaching in bible font it's a language it tells them like what page to have ready and then it talks about what they're going to be doing so you have your preparation and then your procedure so seat work you just flip towards the back and that is where seat work will be and that's what she does every morning and then i go over it and to me it's kind of like homework but it's independent so um [Music] we do help her a lot just because we don't want her to be doing things the wrong way so we do help assist her so where's day 151 okay so this will be seat work for day 151 basically ar is just arithmetic bonus language notepad writing phonics then you're going to have the reading comprehension skill sheets then they're going to have to do these roman numerals they're going to have to copy these and then teachers choice so that will be her seat work on that day and then once she's done with seat work she'll come back to day 1 51 and then she'll finish up her day so there will be her arithmetic class her spelling poetry she'll do her pm reading which i usually combine pm and the am i just go ahead and let her read everything at one time and then after that she will have her combination practice and then her activity time activity time changes um so sometimes there is class singing sometimes they do a science sometimes they do history it just kind of depends on the day and they kind of rotate it out so it kind of keeps things exciting for them so anyway that's kind of how a typical day and a becca goes it does take about five or six hours i'm not gonna lie it is a lot it's a heavy day but i really like it and she likes her teacher mrs chapel so and it's really nice to have the big tv here for her so she can sit at the desk or at these black chairs and watch her it kind of helps her just kind of makes her feel involved so this is my kitchen right now there are some dishes in here i have my dishwasher going so those will be out in a little while but i'm gonna go ahead and tackle these dishes so this is my before [Music] i am [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] and this is the after put all the dishes away got everything cleaned up wiped out my little confection oven over here if you guys don't have one of these i highly recommend getting one they are awesome on your power bill and also for convenience so anyway i smells so good i just put this there we go all right i just put this now oils um down my drain it's the lemon and eucalyptus blend and i just dropped a few of those drops down there now i love revive oils you guys have heard me talk about them before but when it comes to putting something down my drain i'm just going to buy like something like this this is from amazon i think this entire bottle was only like nine dollars so i'm not gonna spend i don't even know how much it would be with revive they are a lot less expensive than young living but i'm not going to spend even 20 30 on something that's just going to go down my brain so but the cool thing about this is that the smell lasts forever it smells so good for hours so i put a few drops of that on both sides and i watered my little plants they're all doing really good so we got all of that done for the day so work hear the birds and see the sun side to side all the good times just [Music] found what we're looking for but things [Music] we don't need no more [Music] before you sleep so i am going to mop really quick with my mop i love this mop i really want to get one of the spinning mops but careful but it's just i don't know i don't have like a huge house i don't know if it would be worth it so i am just going to mop with this i sprayed some cleaner on there just do a real quick mop throughout the house yeah and then i'm gonna vacuum really quick the sun is coming out and it's making the living room so pretty yeah so silly [Music] is [Music] so i am gonna be making dinner and i um had kevin stop at publix and he got me some of this smoked sausage and i am going to cut that up and slice it i'm going to be making a pan meal with some frozen broccoli i have a couple of bags of that i think i'm just going to do the two of those and i think i'm gonna do like some rice on the sides so it'll be a really easy and fast so i'm gonna go ahead and slice everything up and get it ready it is already five o'clock so i cannot even believe like this day has flown by i feel like i've gotten so much done but then like i feel like i didn't get a lot done like off of my to-do list so i'm gonna go ahead and get started on this [Music] do [Music] okay so while that is cooking i have this amazing basket of clean clothes i need to fold so i'm gonna take that in the living room and watch tv with kevin and fold those but dinner should be ready soon i think i'm gonna do some rice we have some of this wild rice and then we also have some of this whole wheat rice so i think i'm gonna grab this one and start making this this can take forever so i'm gonna do that and some of you have asked to look at our storage room and it is still really loaded we have a lot here and it's really nice it's like having a little mini grocery store in our third bedroom [Music] y'all i feel like such an idiot this is not rice this is orzo it's pasta and i said it was rice it does take a really long time to cook but i feel like such an idiot it's like pasta so this is kevin's plate and i sprinkled a little bit of this mozzarella cheese on it so i don't know i thought maybe i would give it a little bit of something it was kind of plain hey guys so i realized while i am editing this video that i totally goofed up and messed up my ending so i just wanted to go ahead and tell you guys thank you so much for watching i hope that you guys liked today's vlog i had fun filming it and i hope that it kind of gave you guys like a more uh like thorough um just like explanation of what a becca is cause i know a lot of you guys have been asking so i'm gonna definitely do some more
