building a coffee shop in bloxburg with frenchrxses

all right chat today we're building a star blockx because star BL is overpriced and garbage I'm also trying to one up this one guy cuz he thinks his build is better than mine but mine's going to be better how do I rename this star blocks c c coffee shop coffee coffee shop okay right so I kind of had this build planned out not really but I have an idea of what I want to go for and I've got a couple of reference images that I want to use for this and by a couple of reference images I mean one particular reference image and it looks a little something like what's shown on the top left of your screen right now I'm not sure where this is yeah it's it's somewhere in the world and it looks pretty cool so I'm going to try and copy it here I'm going to start with the main window here and it's basically just a giant basic window just resized and then bordered with a bunch of other basic shapes or that's at least what my thought process was when I was building this that was the best way I was going to replicate this and I think it turned out pretty well in the end there were just a little you know misalignments especially with the transform tool but like you can't notice it so whatever man we're just going to move on with this okie dokie time to color this thing I think I'm going to go for the classic beige linen thing contrasted with the super dark gray type feel for this Cafe because I am basing it off of a um star blocks in real life yeah cuz they have star blocks in real life anyways I'm just going to play around with the colors a little bit and then I'll see where that takes me right so I don't think this looks too bad I might go ahead and change the concrete later but I'm not sure I kind of want to use the new dirt texture that they added in the most recent update but that just might be me trying to be quirky I'm going to get the backs side of the cafe done or the coffee shop done but I'm honestly not really sure how I want to go about doing this I think placing a door right about here would be fine like a side entrance never hurt anyone I think e okay never mind I don't like the door I'm just going to try and finish the shell of the the entire coffee shop for now and then I'll put in the doors and windows later cuz I I feel like that'll give me an idea of what I want to shape to be like and then right here I'm going to add a slanted roof just to fit the reference image because I thought that was a really cool aspect of it not going to make it slant too much but I'm also trying to make it slant more than a 20° angle or so and all we have to do is color that to match the walls and for the wall colors I changed it to make it a super dark gray and instead of using the dirt texture which I really didn't like for some reason I'm just going to stick with concrete I actually want to make the roof a little thicker so I'm just going to redo that really quick and just drag out some arrows okay that's doesn't look too bad I I think I like it all right Chad you know what I'm going to add I'm going to add this little planter here made out of basic shapes and I've done this before I think all you have to do is resize the basic shape to match whatever the wall is and then I'm just going to place another basic shape on top of that and then I'm just going to inset that bro basic shapes is too easy anyways now that I have that done I kind of want to use decal trees and I think that'll add a lot to the realism sense for this I'm just going to take whatever trees that I used in my building New York video and then I'm just going to copy and paste the code over here and then and rebuild them the same way if you haven't watched that yet make sure you check it out I I think there are a lot of good build hacks in there anyways now that that's done I'm going to Chuck them on every flower bed that I've made okay yeah not too shabby not too shabby I kind of like it I'm also going to pair the decal trees with some bloxburg gardening just to make it look like there's some Synergy between the realism and the actual game cuz I feel like I put in too many decals sometimes or too many bloxburg items and there's not really like a good mix so I'm going to do that here anyways that pretty much does it for the main gardening of the build and then this is the part where everything starts to not go according to plan and this is where I stopped recording and I forgot to hit record when I got back in game so this was a bit of a bummer and I'll try to go through any of the changes that I've made to the best of my ability so yeah I I do apologize right yeah so a bit of an issue uh a certain someone may have forgotten to record after a certain point in the video and uh that certain someone might have been me so there have been a couple of changes that I I can't go back and I can't just delete this and and and redo it I mean I can it's just do I want to is the question probably not cuz it actually looks really good right now or at least I think so it it looks like a star blocks I I think but I'll just go through and uh describe all of the changes that I've made first up I finished the entire outside so uh it it's got the shell the shell is all done and it's not too detailed I'm just just going to go in build mode so I so I can show you whatever the layout looks like if you're trying to rebuild this cuz it honestly isn't that difficult of a build to recreate um this is the shape and then some extra details I added I'm pretty sure this is where I left off I was working on the front facade on the front I've added this decal thing if you don't know what I did here uh I basically just mimicked the thing I did for McDonald's that I did uh 6 months ago or more than that I have no idea how long it's been but yeah there's that but I placed it on top of this thing so now it looks pretty sick uh I also used a bunch of decal trees and then just some smaller plants down here something else I should also probably mention is this structural detail on the very top of the build I don't I don't know why I did this I mean it was in the reference photo so that's probably why and then I also added this uh overhang for the very front to be fair I only referenced the front side of this I I have no idea what I did for the back but it honestly doesn't look too bad I basically combined a bunch of real life references into into one build and it it turned out pretty good it's just that it's it's kind of gray and there's no green and their whole thing is green so like maybe the grass makes up for it but whatever um this little facade over here is made up of basic shape and then this is just a wall and and the roof but that's pretty much it oh yeah I also added these lights cuz the lights look good oh yeah and then the biggest change is probably the uh the parking lot this is what I've done with the parking lot to make this it's a basic shape simply put Let me just highlight that for you it's a basic shape in a circle and that's how it curve anyway simple changes not not too much has changed now all we got to do is finish the interior and I have a couple ideas for that and I have been doing some research or not really research it's just Pinterest browsing cuz that's usually how it goes okay so this is going to be the basic layout of the place it really isn't that difficult to to understand but yeah there it is I'm going to start with a little bar counter thing because that's usually what they have in real life once again I'm going to use basic shapes to do this because basic shapes for counters are are pretty are pretty good so we're going to start with something like this not too bad it's just three basic shapes lopped on top of each other and then off to the side right here we're just going to move this basic shape over and we're just going to mimic this design basically but instead this is going to go to like a half height like around here maybe and then on top of that we're going to put like a a display case boom and that doesn't look too bad just going to spiffy up the counter bit so we can uh get a sense of what we're doing here I'm going to add this little detail that they they usually have in the real places uh and it's basically just to divide the the the customers's attention away from whatever they're doing back here so usually what goes here is like a bunch of coffee machines or or just cups and other stuff um but I don't want to buy one of these but I'm going to buy one anyways because I can afford it so yeah there we go maybe just a couple of blenders and then um I don't know I wish they had more like coffee beans and and just bags of stuff like if I search oh they have bags huh okay yeah maybe I'll just clutter this place with a bunch of random stuff like this rounded Square jar or whatever it's supposed to be all right yeah that seems legit this is something you would see anyways that pretty much covers it for the main counter very simple stuff as for whatever goes back here I don't know what I'm going to do H I lied maybe I do know what I'm going to do all right this is what I'm going to do basically take this and then I'm going to take all of this and copy and paste it to the back when when is it a faulty build without uh copying pasting and I don't need any of this really all I need is the counter cuz that's what I was going for I could just put all of this back to where it belongs all right sweet and then this is entirely copy and pastable so I can just move it back here and now we have another workstation area thing I don't know if they microwave things at the real place but uh sure we'll keep that there and then I kind of want to add this little facade to the back I'm just going to use a bunch of pillars all right that's sweet that doesn't line up but bro my OCD is going to kick in okay yeah now I got to move all of these individual pillars back until they line up where is the center you know what we can do this we could do this now now it'll look like it's intentional It looks interesting all right I'm just going to color this because I don't want to look at some white colored wood yeah I think this does the trick it's fine it's fine it's fine maybe I'm coping all right now we just Chuck this back all right sweet and then you know what we could do actually maybe this will help you understand what I did with the star blocks logo so this is what I did uh with the decals I put them on transparent pillars right here or basic shapes not pillars and then I put them on another basic shape and then I moved them forward so that way I could use the transform tool and just offset it into whatever I want to that's that probably sounded like a lot of gibberish to a bunch of you guys but uh if it makes sense it makes sense see now all you have to do is use the transform tool and make sure it just doesn't go through everything okay sweet and then you just move it up to wherever you want and then you have your logo wherever you want it as well sometimes my genius is frightening so we we might as well get a couple of blenders in here you know just because uh you know you can never have too many blenders in a in a star block I have no idea what exactly you're supposed to serve at a at a star blocks but uh I'm pretty sure it's just a bunch of uh Cafe snacks and I don't know where I was going with that because I also don't know what a cafe snack is don't worry chat you're in good hands you know I'm going to do this I'm going to do this little ceiling thing because I can and it covers up whatever this wood thing is that's coming from the roof which I really don't like it's a very tedious action but I think is necessary all right clearly this is not working out for me why can't I put it there and I'm only doing this now because I'm pretty much finished with the front area so I won't have to touch it so covering that won't be too big of an issue maybe it will maybe it won't we'll see I think it's fine I just have to do it for the entire length of the of the place now which is a little bit annoying but whatever we're just going to do it anyways all right Perfecto Mundo it's it's a little scuffed right now it just looks like there's a giant beam or whatever that's going there but it it it's fine it's fine it's fine we we work around it all right so this entire area is done I kind of want to block off this place I don't know what I want to block it off with though to be fair maybe I'll just hit it with some random wardrobes just to make it look like there's storage I think that's not too bad of a solution yeah not too bad if I'm going to be honest and then just to cover the back as well I'm just going to use a basic shape as for what goes on the top I kind of want to use the the cabinets just cuz you know I normally use the cabinets so might as well continue with it uh which cabinet should I use though all right YOLO we're going to go with the classical one all right that doesn't look too shabby all right now we continue oh okay no maybe we need some lighting back here um I kind of want to go for linen lighting because that that kind of matches the aesthetic of the of the of the place you know warm Cafe and and whatnot uh where's the light I I want to use it's like the hexagon oh that the geometric chandelier geometric chandelier bro this is kind of triggering it's not lined up okay no that is lined up I think okay not too bad not too bad I just got to change the color of linen lighting because it looks interesting oh my God I placed it all on oops is this still scuffed is it still scuffed okay it's not too scuffed now I got some lighting we can kind of see inside I'm going to put carpets here and here yeah there and there and I'll color those later now that that's done I think we can start working on the the main area and you know what just to make it feel like a bit of bloxburg I'm going to use a potted monster plant just just in the corner cuz why not make it feel like bloxburg plus we need some Greenery so might as well anyways I had this really cool idea that might not turn out to be very cool but I'm going to do it anyways so I recently went to this uh this new matcha place in in Toronto but I saw this little uh stand up table area that's just right uh in front of the the counter and I thought I thought it was kind of cool but nobody was using it so it's not very practical clearly but I I still thought it was cool I still thought it was cool so I'm going to try it so what I'm doing here is making a table as you can see the the red thing and then this can just literally be placed anywhere I want and I'm going to put it here now it might seem a little obstructing of the area but it is cool so that's all that matters and I'm going to put one here as well cuz I really wanted to yeah see there we go it looks kind of sick you know all right and then under these we're just going to put a bunch of stools but I don't know what stools we're going to use maybe I could just use the the the fluent stool because this this fits the aesthetic but obviously here you could leave it as a stand stand up bar table thing that that just sits there in the middle of everything so you could just put those chairs underneath obviously if you try sitting on them in game uh you might get a little clapped by the the table but it's all right no pain no gain all right yeah so those two are going to go there and then right here I was thinking maybe we could have like a partitioning element so for that I'm going to take a a page from my my book on Cafe building and we're going to rotate this little wedge thing and just resize it to this so that way it doesn't look like it's just a straight up hard Corner okay maybe that wasn't it it's okay it's okay it's okay this is all going to be the wood the wood wood ah yes very wood okay now now that we have those two long tables we have to work on some actual seating area so we're going to use these picnic tables on lined up on the edge of this so that doesn't look too bad maybe we could fit four but then the space would be very crowded you know what why not let's fit four okay maybe we can't fit four can we fit four oh shoot is that is that even is that even even bro oh my God okay yeah I think that's even all right now we just now we just Spam a bunch of light fixtures on top of that so that way we have some light to work with boom boom boom boom all right not looking too bad not looking too bad is it bad that I want to make the floor concrete I actually don't think it looks too bad I just got to get the rest of it colored so that so that way it doesn't look like straight up wood maybe this could be wood this could be marble countertops and then down here could be mat black just because it matches the vibe all right not too shabby not too shabby I don't know what to do for this area I'm not going to lie maybe I could put like another extent oh my God I'm a genius yo chat check me out oh my God I'm actually I'm actually so big brain sometimes I turn myself on all right remind me to cut that out of the video that was kind of that was kind of weird all right and I'm going to put so much detail into this it's not even all right first things first we have that and that's going to be like where we put the plugs you know hold up so where are the plugs all right electrical outlet we're going to put electrical outlets here so that way people can work you know functionality over form all right I just put them in random places I'm not going to lie maybe we can make them more okay no no I'm not going I'm not going to go through that I'm just going to put them in random places nobody will notice these nobody ever notices these all right now once we have that this is basically a a a tabletop and we just have to put a basic shape on the very edge of this get it I'm edging this okay no no and all we have to do is move this up and then move it down and then move it back up like a this like a like a this and then uh it's kind of thick I'm not going to lie but like you know I like it thick it's just a little high and thick um yeah no never mind maybe maybe I do need to change this maybe I won't have uh the the plugs although that was kind of a genius idea actually you know what I am going to have the plugs I'm just going to make this less thick although it will go through kind of that is a that is a bit of a problem will it be a problem it will be a problem oh no all right it's not a problem anymore okay it's not bad but it could be better but it's not bad now for the seating for this I'm just going to Chuck a bunch of these chairs because they fit the they fit the vibe I could put some Booth seating but you know that's a lot of work so I'm not going to do that honestly it looks like uh one of one of those PL one of those apple tables that they sell you iPhones on you know you know this doesn't look too bad this doesn't look too bad I just got to Center some lighting and uh we're we're doneo here all right all right all right this isn't looking bad this isn't looking bad I just got to get some extra decorations in and I might uh uh draft Noel in here to do that but we'll see I think this is looking pretty sick oh wait no we haven't done this entire side what to do what to do I could just Spam chairs you know but like it's it looks very crowded so maybe not I wonder if I should spread it out a little more yeah maybe I should spread it out okay yeah this looks a lot better all right yo this isn't looking too bad all we got to do is get some of the walls colored cuz it's looking a little bright in here and I don't like bright going to go with some concrete walls just to match the outside I don't know about the ceiling color I'm not going to lie maybe I need to go with darker Grays oh okay maybe I suck at coloring but it's okay we've been known we've been very known all right it's not lacking too much it's just lacking and I have absolutely no no no clue on how to fix that but it's okay that's usually how it goes all we have to do now is this bathroom and then uh some other stuff and then we're done so for the bathroom I'm going to divide it up into two two stalls and then over here I'm going to put put a sink why is there a green thing sticking out of the wall oh that's the plant sink toilet oh wait no we have the commercial toilet now where's the commercial toilet commercial toilet commercial toilet all right sweet now for the the fences to make sure you can get in we just need a fence gate boom and boom those are two stalls and then maybe just for the heck of it I'm just going to spam a plant right here why not make sure it doesn't go through any
