Build a Shaving Horse with Hand Tools

Hey guys, in today's video I'm going to be building a shaving horse with hand tools and hopefully I'll be able to make it all from this top that blew out of the tree right here. It came right out of that one right there. So you may be wondering why it is that I want to build a shaving horse and the idea kind of originated when I picked up this hewing hatchet right here a couple weeks ago at an auction and if you've been watching my Log Farmhouse Restoration videos you would have already seen this there. Now I've done a little bit of work on it I put a better edge on it and I smoothed off the back to get all the rust off from there and I'll do a full kind of restoration on this hatchet head when I get around to taking the handle off on this and then making a new one with my new shave horse that I'm going to have here. I also picked up a few other heads when I was at the auction there as well. So anyway let's get started on building this shaving horse. Hey guys I hope you enjoyed the video.
