build a $20 bender

Laura sorry really quick video today we're going to make a really cheap bar bender I bought a former for $4 50 couple bearings and some bolts and then DUP being six dollars and a bit of RHS the life and in my scrap collection it's a really simple project I'm just gonna build it you'll see how it works [Music] [Music] [Music] don't shake Bobby all right so two hulls adults the bearings [Applause] [Music] [Music] all right that's it almost just need to die on that whole little bit just to make the bearing fit and then I've got a bender I'll show you how to use it [Music] heart-shaped cookie [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so we have a basic bender that clamps to the bench clamp piece fiery chest to the bench pull the arm around and then perform it so let's go find a bit of RHS so this is the 12.7 millimeter iron chest with a 1.2 mil wall we're just gonna line up Emma with where the wheel is touching or clamped just grab the handle pull up just over 90 degrees it's not quite square to the table yet so a little a little bit more of a tweak and then we can go off in did go a bit far straighten that out a little still needs a little more [Applause] yeah it's pretty good all right yeah put a mark for the next bend so anyway this is this material is an upcoming project next week this video so this works beautifully nice radius Bend this type bender will work on anything up to about 25 mil if you put a big enough flavor on it and well ya know it costs $20 you probably do it cheaper that it works so that's about it for this week and as always customize everything [Music] Kogi
