Buggy Day on an Epic New Rock Crawling Trail - S12E5

me and Adam are gonna do some struggle Wheeling with a bunch of the buggy boys we got some fancy car Wheeling today oh oh wow yes oh wow gnarly oh going you hesitated Adam did the thing oh Adam did the thing again [Music] all right had no Wheeling but uh had to stop by Sean's house to uh grab my two Bender put on the plus side that means that uh cam with the five thousand dollar uh Forerunner has finished his cage so hopefully he'll be back on the trail real soon but uh while I'm at John's house let's go check out the progress on the one-time swap on the green bastard diesel Toyota rig look at this thing this is what the green bastard is supposed to look like so you get the 14 bolt in the rear it's got to take the overload off and I think he's got to mount his shocks build a drive shaft but the rear pretty close look at how gangster this thing looks he's uh also ended up getting himself a uh dually front axel so we got to get uh our hub assemblies within a60 and then we're uh gonna cut this cross member off raise the Springs up a whole bunch drop the front down it's gonna be good looking forward to uh seeing the green bastard on one tons she's finally proportional these terrible michelins military tires gotta go though all right well we're back on the trail again uh as we know first rule fight club means uh we don't talk about Fight Club so where we are it doesn't matter today instead of bringing a gun to a knife fight we brought a knife to a gunfight so uh me and Adam are gonna do some struggle Wheeling with a bunch of the buggy boys we got some fancy car Wheeling today we just feel like fire dude we're just gonna party that's Carl she's a Super Duties uh he's had a Ford Ranger I think it's a 43 inch SX sticky tires on that thing that's a lot more tired the 36 inch irocs they asked me if we wanted to do the Casual stuff today or the hardcore stuff today and well what do you think I chose I don't know why it was up to me look for steer fancy cars we also got one buggy up there that you're gonna see and I'm not gonna be filming him he doesn't like to be on camera and understandable if you ever see me on the trail and you don't want me to film you just let me know and uh I'll keep you off camera see thankfully I'm not actually driving this is not really my problem at all [Laughter] like I'm really happy I'm not because I don't know if I'd want to drive up there I say that but I would want to drive up there it's hard to drive like an ignorant dumbass like I normally drive on stuff like this though this is John uh rocking the transaxle buggy on 39 inch uh BFG stickies I say stickies I know and you guys some of you guys probably don't even know what that means that's a sticky rubber compound which means those tires are super soft like look at the traction gets out of those and uh the things I believe a CRV motor and he's running transaxle so he has no T case he runs the motor sideways and then uh drive shafts right off that so damn Toyota axles front and rear and I believe he has water in the front tires right now [Music] this is the sort of drought this is gonna be fun for Adam to drive up it's gonna be hard well he made that look really easy I'm really proud of him Kyle's telling me he's got a 91 inch track width on this thing my rig's 84. so yeah but look at that though 43 inch s-x's also sticky tires those are super duty diffs [Music] a little Shimmy Shimmy I thought your tires were supposed to just stick the Reds did nice how are you gonna do that hey Liam just turn the back this way I don't know thankfully you get to watch Adam's struggle next so damn son that's fancy car Wheeling right there uh my heart's pounding is that normal yes it should be you should be doing that if you're not if you don't feel like that at the start then it's not hard enough really what's going on over there I think ads over heating something like that I think he just wore some coolant we'll go send Liam to find out what's happening with Ed while uh Adam starts struggling this is what we get when the boys asked should we do the hardcore Trail first thing in the morning answers yes see I've been Wheeling with Adam a bunch lately the turbo 4Runner oh it wants to climb this is some grippy grippy rock I think we're gonna bump the winch out it's probably not a bad idea oh man I'm making cringy faces back here I don't do it nice that's a big climb for a Toyota car oh we're off to a good start we're winching for the second item already it's gonna be great see this is why we run cable though because you can't do that with rope no way now you're getting tight now we're in danger so now try to side pull yourself as you turn and drive forwards oh it's terrifying but yes it's working it's working yeah keep doing that yes yes it's starting to slide uh just doing some idiot work I love it there it is all right now it's Liam's turn he was uh Wheeling with us on New Year's Eve so those are sticky traps so they're a little bit bigger than Adam's Tires and they got a lot more traction because they're the soft rubber compound I'm thinking he's gonna have an easier time here but we're gonna find out that's a pretty gnarly obstacle for a Toyota yeah well oh oh wow [Laughter] to get up and there's lots more Trail yes well done sick well I'm stoked on this Trail so far I've never been here this uh this rock is a lot different than what we're dealing with all right you're gonna be fine so we're gonna end with the things that are 360 in that thing one tons those are non-sticky irocs he was uh Wheeling with us Canada our New Year's Eve as well and I've wanted to see this thing actually after work so I'm excited to see this thing on a decently hard Trail it seems to work real good on the easy ones everyone's car works good on the easy Trails just don't go left because that's that's 80 feet 60 feet this long ways down I don't know that's a safety log Liam damn son that's just a little bit silly these are Big Rocks is there 40 inch tires keep in mind so when you're seeing the Rocks bigger than the tires four foot rocks just pivot his way through nice [Music] nothing is Nimble it's like a bit ago foreign [Music] big thanks to Johnny five for inviting me out Wheeling because uh I'm loving seeing the uh the new trails a little road trip rock crawling it's good times of course like I said we brought a knife to a gunfight today so uh this is buggy lines and we're doing 4Runner stuff [Music] momentum is key now we got things happening team no stickies man nice I think you go that way hard drivers I haven't been up there though well done trying to stay on the bottom of the hill today to give you guys really a idea of how big these slimes are that's 20 foot climb 20 15. but once again he's got the sticky tires oh even with stickies you got a carrier Momo oh you had it there you hesitated yes capacitor oh you're doing a little car nudge yes there you go that's nice beautiful [Music] [Laughter] oh there's a problem right there Liam gets the advantage of watching all the things that Adam's struggling on so he missed the Rock I don't know where he's going [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] get some dirt in my face the old franger buggy Ford Ranger I wonder what he's got for T cases in that thing he's doing fancy things with his shifter there I think that's where his rear skier is she runs like a Ford [Music] [Laughter] it's okay Team Ford everyone needs a little bit of good ribbon [Music] this is the ultimate Island spec sticky tires 43 inch sx's those are massive those tires are apparently supposed to be one inch bigger than my tires one is bigger than Ed's and you see them parked beside Ed's rig like four inches taller so Indigo was lying about the IROC size these are rocks that I wouldn't even really look at if I was going Trails because my Turk car wouldn't drive up [Music] sack damn okay yes well done damn nice driving [Music] it's a maneuverable little sewing machine like it's like he's doing something different than what you're doing oh yeah it's about Nimble rather than current strength [Music] exactly power to weight is really good when you have 200 horsepower there he got it wow oh we got two real distinct groups now see fancy buggy Team Toyota and Jeep [Music] gnarly just stupid gnarly oh is he gonna drop down off here well it's literally vertical and it's taller than me eight feet so this one where you got a gas out of it apparently oh he's coming towards me that's fun so 38 inch tires 39 sorry 39 inch tires [Music] uh stable it's that water in the front tires the loser to the ground that was wild all right now I gotta walk all the way back down the hill go find the other guys [Music] yes well done nicely done Adam [Music] yes [Music] wow yeah straighten up yeah yes [Music] there it is [Music] oh this is epic scope to be out here today we're uh mid-January in the rain doing some rainforest rock crawling oh this must be the hardest Trail you've ever run oh yeah nice job well you're making it work John was saying this is the second most gnarly spot on this Trail which is that's good because it's got a good old consequences don't go right over there he's got the sticky tires though he's gonna stick to the Rocks but it's gonna be a bit sketchier for uh Adam that's for sure and Ed being wide oh it's a big drop good idea Johnson let's drive up that real quick amen [Music] oh wow [Laughter] oh that's the line that's ridiculous cool playground we got here [Music] perfect you're still okay there he is whoa gnarly well done the sort of hard Trail we were looking for I would just kind of go for that tree because if you start to go over it'll save you it might get light when you come off this one on the back here and if it gets too sketchy gas it cage design is letting you down here nope going you hesitated you were supposed to go don't worry Liam's right behind you and he's got a cable already running out Adam did the thing nice there you go now start turn down he got her your pass now hang on we'll get you off the cable hesitation killed ya oh now Adam has to bring his decidedly not fancy car up this hill the John just went up in his fancy car so that uh it's gonna be a sound of his people Turbo throttle show also while we're lining him up as always got to give a big shout out to my uh got to go on the far side of that tree I don't know how you do this because we got to get your back in like down the hill oh apparently that's a little bent now can you two-wheel drive right there and see if the back end it's gonna come down the hill yes yeah keep on it there you go those guys gave you a little push there we might need to get you some zip ties for that it's got no air in that front anymore [Music] oh but uh now John's gonna try to uh pull him past his tree without pulling himself on his roof [Music] now you're off the beat for sure on the inside yeah it's yeah you might want to try to reseed it right now foreign [Music] now we're gonna find out how good your compressor is it's not leaking anymore [Music] now it's coming it's weird that the least capable rig is having all this troubles damn it I think it's time for the first Trail soda of the day also I know you guys always comment like you're drinking Mountain Dew sure I'm drinking Mountain Dew by these bad boys from Amazon they're the sneaky Trail soda machine pilsner flavor Mountain poo something to pop the beat back on we're uh we're gonna keep going here this is insane Starbucks swinging open so he's doing a little oh that's gonna be great next time I'm just sitting there that'll be fine it's better than zip ties got to do some door Barber fixings [Music] that's when Red's just getting good right there [Music] Adam's struggling back there so we'll film John for a minute here oh some uh choco berries count chocula [Applause] oh it always gets a little sassier after the first Trail show the other day so I'm gonna better get this one in me I have to keep looking over my shoulder because there's a 20-foot drop right there I already fell down the stairs for stepping back into space I don't need to do there nice that'll work except you keep shaking all the water out of my head so stop that that's a great idea Carl said he's going right up here I like it I'm in because I'm not actually doing anything okay well the other guys went that way Carl's gonna go uh behind my shoulder you haven't even had to work hard today at all you brought a machine gun to the gunfight you go boots I'm really terrible at spotting uh force your cars turn drivers in their ear crab walking up there drivers in the front too yes she wants to go she likes it I don't know what to tell him look at that drive shaft it's a little bit crooked are those tires right there pretty close two grand a piece Canadians you can see the little shots of rubber come flying off of it there he goes yeah you got it [Music] now straighten out the rear yep yep son that's silly that's just silly hahaha uh here we got normal car things she adds buggy was fancy buggy a couple weeks ago now it's just a normal car you want to go that way Ed yeah yeah that's a fancy car only line and I'm sorry but your car's not that fancy it's not very fast pills near flavored Mountain Dew it's gonna look somewhat respectable technically I'm working right now Ed nice and locked around the tree oh that's a fancy business there oh man [Music] just finished having a little bit of lunch these boys don't run a barbecue so we're just having sandwiches in the rain and now there's one more big climb behind me that the uh Forest here guys are gonna do and then we gotta make our way out this Trail that's a bad sound apparently it wants to stop there this is really inconvenient Arbutus here's here oh it's shaking all the water oh you're fine [Music] yes that's a lot of searing that's so many steering you keep shaking water on my head foreign yes [Music] [Laughter] oh you're losing your Wi-Fi signal it really wants to it would like to go up there there it goes no wow wow oh guys okay well that's a way to do it yeah I ran out of the way a few times you lost a coffee cup but actually I think we're gonna be able to drive right out of there perfectly fine let me find your coffee cup I saw it fall out oh yeah hang on let me climb under here I got your cup oh that was a hard rollover a little pirouette it's one way of doing it oh that's a nice Cloud so that's what I call the uh 180. you didn't turn around a stylish way oh it smells smells good it smells really good smells like a fort don't worry we'll clean up the trail soda cans well then wow I'm impressed Color Me impressed I wonder if his hands are shaking a little bit mine would be it's fine actually it looks remarkably good considering that was a really hard rollover [Music] all right well now that uh John got to sit there and watched Carl do that [Music] and that always sucks John knows what he's about this seems like a silly place to stand now that I know what I know [Laughter] they're gonna work in the rears here foreign nicely done had to work at it it is
