hey guys in this video i'm gonna show you how much you need for a day in budapest budapest is the capital of hungary and consists of two regions divided by the danube river buda in the past it's known for its beautiful historical buildings and is also called the pearl of the danube i recorded everything i bought in a day here so i'm gonna share how much everything cost me let's get started [Music] it's 8 a.m you all know what we need first at the beginning of the day breakfast i'm going to the central market first to find something for breakfast let's go there it is this is a central market in budapest this beautiful building was built back in 1897. since then this market has been locked by both local people and tourists on the first floor mainly food ingredients are sold and the restaurants and souvenir shops are on the second floor this is the best place to get hungarian local food such as foie gras and tokai wine hello hello sia uh which one is good for breakfast with ham ham okay this is yes okay so can i have one yes please [Applause] which one do you recommend number four number four okay so can i have number four [Applause] [Music] i got a smoothie and [Applause] have a sandwich for breakfast after breakfast i decided to take a walk and see what this city has to offer the central market is located on the peach side of the danube river there are some great spots on the buda side as well so i walked along the river towards the city chain bridge it's perfect weather today it's sunny but not too hot which makes this smoothie it tastes even better the city team bridge was the first bridge built between buda and pest over the danube river in 1849 this bridge was the embodiment of architectural engineering back then and the beautiful design is still highly recognized today i was really looking forward to crossing the bridge but there is a problem wait it looks like the bridge is under construction i hope i can still cross the bridge but i don't know no i think it's closed i guess i need to make a detour there's a shuttle boat yeah maybe i can use this [Music] there you go it's 500 points i guess it's not bad for very right [Music] in contrast to the lowland of pest buda is made of a lot of hills most tourist spots are on the hill and people usually have access to them by using a cable car but this is a very nice cable car but it's also under construction oh that's a shame the cable car is not available so i'm gonna walk up to the top of the hill i really was gonna walk to the top but luckily i found another form of transportation oh i didn't know there was the elevator this huge buddha castle was built in the 30th century and at that time successful monarchs were living here the buildings were damaged a lot in the ottoman hungarian war and world war ii but they were rebuilt every time the view of the city from the castle is magnificent and you have to see it if you come to budapest [Music] after 10 minutes walk from the castle we arrived at the matthew church this colorful church is a popular photo spot for tourists sometimes they have a concert in the church so if you have a time please go see it [Music] right next to the church's fisherman's bastion there are various theories about this unique name some people say it's called that because fishermen used to protect this place but some say it's because there is a fish market here from fisherman's bastion you can experience the best view of the hungarian parliament building which is known as the world's most beautiful parliament building it's lunch time i'm hungry i'm going back to the other side of the river the main forms of public transportation in budapest are metro bus and tram the same ticket is used for all of them and you can buy it at a ticket machine there are several types of tickets and a ticket for one ride is only a dollar and 10 cents for lunch i decided to go to a restaurant called fresh papa you can enjoy traditional hungarian food at a very reasonable price here this place is very popular for local people i went there in the afternoon on a weekday but the restaurant was almost full i had 30 paprika which is a fried green pepper stuffed with ground beef and chicken sweet they are very tasty and come to seven dollars and sixty cents or i need to buy some necessities let's go [Music] after my summer shopping trip i needed to do a little work so i went to a cafe that i found nearby in budapest there are lots of nice cafes where you can work remotely or just relax and usually they are pretty cheap [Music] after spending a couple of hours in the cafe i walked around a little bit went to a restaurant and ate falafel for dinner [Music] now i'm gonna show you my accommodation for tonight i'm staying at a hostel that's very close to the city center what really surprised me when i came to budapest is that a lot of hostels here are very high quality this one i'm staying at for tonight is also very sophisticated clean and modern and it even has a quite working space the accommodation fee was eleven dollars and sixty cents [Music] hey guys this is how much i spent for a day in budapest i hope you enjoyed the video and hopefully i found it helpful i also made a one-day budget video in turkey a while back so if you are interested please check it out too i put the link in the description below
