BRUTAL Animation Mistakes in SpongeBob Episodes

spongebob season 3 has some great moments and even some episodes like ugg new student starfish and clams were nominated for outstanding animated program at the prime time emmy awards this season was even the first season to win favorite cartoon at the kids choice awards but even award-winning television isn't always perfect so without further ado here are some of our favorite animation mistakes in season three of spongebob squarepants [Music] in the first episode of this season titled the algae's always greener we follow another one of plankton's crazy schemes to take over the krusty krab this time plankton has created a machine that allows him to swap lives with mr krabs in freaky friday fashion this episode like many spongebob episodes makes use of a bubble animation to transition between scenes during one particular transition scene between rooms in the chum bucket we can see that there is text hiding underneath the bubbles and on top of the animation we can see that the date is may 29th 2001 and what looks like the word spongebob for a few frames of this animation this is probably something that was meant to be removed before the final product was aired on television at another point in this episode squidward gets demoted from cashier to grill master when plankton says the line hope you like gray too squidward he only has two legs instead of his usual four like part computer or something in the episode rock-a-bye bye valve spongebob and patrick find an abandoned baby scallop and decide to take it home and raise it as their own spongebob takes on the role of matriarch tending to the baby and the house while patrick gets a job to provide for his family that job is of course going back to his rock to watch television all day while spongebob takes care of the baby but it's the thought that counts i guess there are some continuity errors in this episode the first happens after the tomorrow slate appears on screen we can see that spongebob is wearing a black tie instead of his usual red number after this scene his tie changes back to red during another scene in this episode junior is given spongebob's pants to use as a bed for him to sleep in leaving spongebob in his underwear but when spongebob goes to feed him moments later his pants are back on and the final mistake for this episode involves patrick when patrick and spongebob decide to become parents patrick says the line just call me daddy but while he is saying this line his mouth moves slightly to the right of his face instead of staying centered [Music] i'm so tomorrow you're home after working all day i can't wait for my break was a killer [Music] in the episode mermaid man and barnacle boy 5 barnacle boy turns to the evil side after getting in a fight with mermaid man for making him order off the kids menu at the krusty krab when the realistic fish head is reporting about evil every villain is lemons the studio changes from a bare desk with a blue yellow background to a desk with a script and microphone on it in front of a pink red background also the word villains is spelled incorrectly in the scene where mr krabs is talking to squidward about money when he says the line no world means no money his right arm is missing oh yes you do no world means no money now go save the world or you're fired in the episode pranks a lot spongebob and patrick go to a joke shop where they buy the ultimate prank item invisible spray using this magical spray the pair turn themselves invisible and decide to prank the entire town by pretending to be ghosts in the joke shop when the shopkeeper is showing spongebob the new products he has in stock he shows off this gum that explodes when it is chewed the packaging for this exploding gum is misspelled spelling exploding with an extra p instead of an o in the scene where patrick and spongebob prank sandy the pair wear white sheets so that sandy can see the outline of her friends to further lull her into a sense of security before they scare the living daylights out of her when patrick and spongebob are wearing these sheets however they are not wearing their usual water helmets without these they have no way of breathing in the tree dome [Music] exploding chewing gum only 9.95 in the camping episode squidward unwittingly gets roped into a camping experience with spongebob and patrick after the pair tell him that they don't think he could handle himself in the wilderness when spongebob is singing the campfire song he is sitting on a log but when he goes to sit back down the log has disappeared there's also a moment in the scene where spongebob's left arm gets disconnected from his body [Music] in the episode spongebob meets the strangler spongebob accidentally gets on the bad side of a notorious serial killer named the tattletail strangler the strangler angry that spongebob tattled on him for littering disguises himself as a bodyguard to get close to spongebob to exact his revenge by strangling it's kind of his thing when the strangler finally gets spongebob to take him to his home where they can be in a secluded location perfect for criminal activity spongebob's friends throw him a surprise party for having perfect punctuality at work they eventually leave and the strangler attempts to make his move again only for another surprise party to happen this time to celebrate spongebob's birthday during these gags the wallpaper in spongebob's house changes from the blue bamboo wallpaper to a green floral wallpaper depending on if the setting is during the party or when spongebob is alone with the strangler there is also a continuity error in this episode where the strangler's mugshot id number changes in one scene it is 122068 but in another the number is 02166 and there's also a coloring error in one frame where spongebob's teeth turn yellow while he is laughing maniacally with the strangler in the episode midlife crustacean mr krabs feeling self-conscious about his age opts to spend an evening with spongebob and patrick to feel young again shenanigans ensue culminating in a panty raid at mr crabb's mother's house when mrs crabs underwear are first seen during the panty raid they are shaped like normal panties but when mr krabs shows them off they are shaped like bloomers or more commonly known as granny panties there's also a transition sequence from the ice cream stand to the krusty krab where you can hear the bubble sound effect even though they didn't use the bubble visuals i ate old what's his problem [Applause] next [Music] in the episode just one bite squidward tells spongebob that he hates krabby patties and thinks they are disgusting however after actually eating one squidward discovers that they are in fact delicious because of this squidward spends the episode looking for ways to sneakily eat krabby patties without spongebob finding out about it in order to save him from the embarrassment of admitting he was wrong from the very beginning where squidward declares his distaste for krabby patties until over halfway through this episode the cash register is completely missing there is also an error in this scene where squidward first admits he's never had a krabby patty when spongebob tells squidward that krabby patties are good for the soul squidward jokes that he has no soul and he's engulfed in hellfire when the flames vanish there is a few frames where we can see a green outline on squidward this is possibly a green screen error i have no soul [Music] that's all the time we have for today
