British Girls React To Celebrities Attempting British Accents!!

hello hello I am Emily from England hello I am Lauren from England hi Emily how's it going today I'm excited to be here yeah the thing is I I sound so stuck up yeah we go immediately Valley because absolutely because that's the easiest to do oh my God why oh my God what happened to your face me floor friends floor hasn't seen me for a while so she was like hi are you gonna see me today and I was like no and she was like okay you're tripping then so you literally tripped and said that she did a trip ha ha ha you're hilarious the more you try the more chances you have to fail and you will fail now to be fair there's a difference between imitating it as a joke and actually trying to speak in a British accent oh yeah there's a difference like one of them was just like if you lived in the UK and you get a bit of an in British accent it shows there's a difference between you trying to copy it yeah people who've lived in the UK I'm like yeah cool that's fine I don't really appreciate it because it's kind of like not cultural appropriation but it's a bit more I think it's just when it's forced it's a bit uncomfortable I think it's because most people don't learn a British accent in school because it kind of fetishizes Jackson so they're not learning it because they're like just learning English because everyone's communicate with people it's like English cultures are amazing you're like it's not that special and that that whole thing makes me uncomfortable yeah if they're actors then maybe yeah but British are better at imitating American accents I think I think oh no he's great I think that was amazing honestly a lot of people think he's actually British because of this so he did a very good job he did an amazing job but he had some of the best teachers on the earth and he's a genius just moving on what are you a good guy a bad guy that's good yeah also people think she's British what yeah of course Meryl Streep is amazing really you're giving us the best you're giving us like the best the best act like marriage literally Meryl Streep is better Street are you in Cosmo in this together I mean you seem to go to your wage actually it's really neat yeah I already feel like an idiot most of the time I never realized she was America the kitchen wall sex and toilet cubicles lose its Bittersweet charm she was like a little bit Northern and then she wasn't Northern I got really confused that was a good accent the last one yeah I think that Anne Hathaway what and was it was the one pretty much the only one that if I was such I'll be like oh girly where are you from like Tommy it's a little bit she can't pick a specific region so she's mixing a couple of different accents and made a bit awkward yeah I think is they have so much in films they have so much time to actually every single scene is refilmed several times painfully enough times then they have a linguist on set teacher onset so I'm quite surprised that she wasn't really I don't know for me it didn't sound very good yeah I didn't know that Renaissance Bridget Jones was American I honestly thought she was from honestly she might be she might be and God knows Johnny Depp yeah it definitely was yes but Johnny Depp's accent I know so many people who here's my accent who think he's actually from the UK so he does such a nice job to be honest yeah I didn't really think about where he was from but now that I mention it I was kind of like because most actors I just don't really unless they make a big deal out of it like Tom Holland he makes such a big deal about being British and then playing an american guy and he keeps on like in every single interview he's like oh my God look at me changing accents but these guys nobody questions them because they're so respected actors already I never thought about where Johnny Depp was from yeah but he has even his normal voice is quite soft and a bit wispy and I feel like if you have that more kind of breathy voice that is easier to do absolutely but maybe except I'm halfway sorry love I love you so much but it would be fair we might be wrong she might be doing an amazing job being we just can't hear it properly but something sounded a bit fishy a bit fishy a bit uncomfortable uh in a show okay so it's gonna have to be funny so they're gonna be like well they're gonna be doing it like that so just prepare yourself maybe have sit don't throw it at the camera girl hold me back so he's imitation that's why honestly mother that's quite good he's good it's kind of like a yeah like an essexy kind of accent it's cool don't you on it but my friends and colleagues don't think it's very good colleagues was a bit weird colleagues yeah yeah he's not wrong it was good yeah it's really good in the beginning and then after a few words my colleagues don't think it's very good yeah he's like Okay girl okay I've been working on it and then my colleagues and my friends I don't know because I think it's just a few tricks you know when you're changing around like how we learn Americans like we know that they're a few tricks and we hear it so much that we can just imitate it I don't really know why Americans struggle so much I don't know apparently it's the hardest so is it Australian's the funnest thing yeah I love Australia so natural it just sounds like either a guy that comes from that area easing a girl yeah yeah like copying a girl but it doesn't sound like he's a complete Foreigner he literally perfected it whilst being funny at the same time no he's great he's yeah genius genius actor no she might be good hitting here a few years might have passed I love her so she might just practice more so let's watch this [Music] and the other one goes no he's not Batman look at his teeth good she improved good job yeah it's almost like the stronger the accident is the easier it is to copy when it's really subtle which is maybe why we can't really do um like New York it's for us it's kind of like we're like well we'll just go with a strong strong valley girl because that's the easiest one to copy but then if you ask this okay do go go to New York you're like you're like [Music] is actually quite easy because you have like really it's very clean almost how they do it but because it's smoother it's more difficult to copy that's what I think Cockney can pick up on specific things then from the films Johnny yeah hands down that man could literally compile and via my six they wouldn't doubt that his English is like yeah it kind of looks like the guy you know but like your
