don't tell me to race with it all instead I'm lucky not like what is he talking about raising the dead but I understand that and they asked him why do describe say that Elijah must come first alright they coming to 9 okay good and they saw a great crowd around the how many not great and scribes who argued with uh with the nine okay you walked okay to one okay you're with me let me see I'm with you you when Jesus on the mountain see we actually now gives us what he means he says I brought him to the disciples so the man is saying the disciples represent you you don't you don't you don't you him to me and I love this and they brought the boy to him and when the spirit saw him immediately it convulsed the boy and he found the ground rolled about with a foaming at his mouth and Jesus asked his father how long as it was happening the father said man since he was a kid since he was a kid and it has often cast him into the fire into the water to destroy him the greater miracle is the devil may have been controlling the son and trying to kill the son but God's plan was still greater so even though my god but if you can do anything have compassion on us and help us and she said to him I love Jesus what you're talking about Willis if you if you can all things are possible come on for one who believes and immediately the father the child cried out and this statement is Benny Perez the Bible this life event and it's an awesome event because let me paint the picture to you we have the incredible moment as we read that Jesus goes up on a mountain and as it goes up on a mountain the Bible says he's transfigured which means this the glory that is that was inside of him burst out for a moment and it is so shining it is so white it is so glorious as the Bible said that no bleach could ever make anything that way that glorious and in that moment when Jesus now turns himself watch me inside out let me know again Jesus turns himself inside out that that the thing that's inside of him his glory his it is his divinity now burst out right so he turns inside out and as he turns inside out there are three disciples that are there Peter James and John by the way Peter was the one that was gonna deny Jesus Peter was the one I was gonna run away Peter is the one that that when he's being crucified he denies Jesus and yet jesus knew what Peter was going to do but Jesus also knew that that was going to be a hiccup that was just gonna be a little deviation and so they go up on the mountain we read the story and it says that he was transfigured before them and it is so awesome it is so glorious that that the disciples don't really know what to say so they say hey let's just build three Tabernacles let's just camp out here I mean it's so amazing it's so incredible man I just love it let's keep having revival services and let's keep having great speakers as let's keep having the glory of God coming to the building this is so awesome and as they get ready to build why because there's Elijah and there's Moses and Elijah so if you're a Jewish individual at that time you knew that Moses had to come first but now for that before the great coming of the Lord that he's gonna again send the prophet Elijah so the Jewish disciples would understand my goodness that's awesome here's somebody that represents the beginning and here's Elijah that represents the end and this is so incredible that Jesus is kind of filling up space in the middle but what happens is is that God the Father says no you got it all mixed up because Moses may have been the beginning and watch me Elijah may be the end but there's somebody that's right before you that was before the beginning and it's gonna be after the end gimme more monitor and so it's amazing to note that now the father said no it's not about Elijah no it's not about Moses let me translate that for you it is not about the law it's not about the prophets it's not about what day to you celebrate in worship you celebrate and worship on Saturdays do you celebrate on Sundays what kind of meat II need to eat pork that's unclean you eat lobster that's unclean it's not about the law and it's not about the prophets the father says listen those two are important because one is the beginning and you think one is the end but they're standing right in the middle of them the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end and it is and will always be about Jesus Christ and the father utters these words he says listen to him don't listen to the Democrats don't listen something's that good good wait a second Republican I'm coming your way don't listen to the Republicans and what's happening is is if we're not careful the church is going to be pulled in to a political fight that I believe has spiritual roots so listen only to him there's injustice in America granted I'm a person of color no you're not you're not black I'm Hispanic I'm brown the number one ethnic group in America mm-hmm and by the way we're all colored here some of you are white sorry I'm not my wife's wife might if you know my wife she is like white white come on she's night night light white come on like windy cover yourself you want to go this way come on somebody alright so so what happens is is that is that now the father says listen only to him at that moment Elijah and the Prophet and and Moses and the lawgiver they disappear and it's only Jesus there Jesus now reverses and now humanity wraps him again and they begin to start walking down the mountain and they were having some grabbed wish I could be there I wish I could get a blu-ray DVD version of what was being said I know I'm serious I mean this is awesome this is incredible and she said don't don't talk to anybody about what what happened and watch me now so these guys are up on the mountain three disciples glorious time and as they come down the mountain they come into society that is arguing its glorious over here in a worship experience but we got a live come on somebody where there's arguing going on right now hi so it's so awesome because because they go there and I read the text and as they as they go there the Bible says that when the crowd saw Jesus so let's step back for a second what is there now watch Jesus and the three disciples are coming down from the mountain they have this glorious experience they just Sir John Gray preach come on I mean your favorite preachers just praise baby breath and so they come down and there's three there's three crowds because the Bible doesn't identify just one crowd that's the major crowd but it identified as the scribes and the Pharisees that's one crowd and then on the other side come on you have the disciples the night of them there's the other crowd but there's the crowd that's right in the middle and they're torn now between these two other crowds discussing and arguing about something and so when they see Jesus it's amazing that now the arguing stops because Jesus shows up on the same so Jesus shows up on the scene the crowd sees them and they're amazed and they run to him and they begin to worship Him and they are there and Jesus says what's wrong man well what are you guys arguing about the disciples don't answer the question that Jesus gives in fact the bigger crowd at large does not answer the question that Jesus gives in fact the scribes of the Pharisees do not answer the question that Jesus gives because now there is somebody that really is wanting to understand the reason why that now he brought his son see something is not as important until it's your son come on until it's your daughter come on until it's your husband see see all of these happen in America if we're not careful we can step back from them and say well that's not my kid that's not my race you know I'm not a police officer and what happens is as we detach ourselves but Jesus is saying though we cannot be a generation or church that detaches itself from what's happening in the world today and so this man says I brought the problem to you stop Jesus was on the mountain with the three disciples so what the man is saying I didn't see I ruined my sermon because I did when I was reading the scripture he said Jesus your disciples in my eyes represent you in the earth today Jesus you're their rabbi they're your followers so I actually believe that what's on you is on them okay some of you aren't catching what I'm saying if you back up in the book of Mark Jesus actually tells the twelve I give you authority come on over demons I give you authority over all the power of the enemy come on I give you authority come on to trample over scorpions and serpents Jesus previously gives them his delegated authority and now this man I don't know if he was there when Jesus said it to them but this man understands if I come to a disciple it's as if I'm coming to Jesus [Music] give me an a maybe three in the back mmm yeah right but here's what we think we think no it's all about Jesus and we have to understand it is all about Jesus but he's at the right hand of the Father he has left his disciples come on somebody do not just represent him but be like him in the earth okay let me say to you this way when Jesus came to the earth he could Amelie showed up as a 33 year old right not even happy go through the first canal although feet that would kind of be strange whoa he's six foot one Wow if Jesus main purpose was just to come to redeem mankind he would have showed up at 33 miraculously he would have been nailed to the cross the next day and all of a sudden redemption would have been bought for mankind but watch me now Jesus did not come to the earth just to die to redeem us why did he come and live for three and a half years to show us how we should live on the earth to show us that we have power come on somebody in authority to show us that watch me now as this what Paul says follow me come on somebody as I follow Jesus that all of a sudden now I should be walking in an authority I should be walking in a grace I should be walking and they should say oh my goodness if we get to the church Elfi there's a bunch of people come on now that understand and act like and have power like and actually believe that Jesus has given them authority can I hear amen right now so some of you say well this is kind of out there really I'm not going to tell you the church but we recently had a couple people come to our church that go to another church I'm not going to tell you what Church it is it's a great Church and they showed up to this church and they said we want an appointment with pastor Benny Perez I don't take walk-ins because walk-ins could turn into drive-bys come on now you don't believe me ask Central Christian we'll leave it at that right I don't take walk-ins it's like why did I let doctors don't even take walk-ins in fact when you have an appointment with a doctor don't show up on time because you're not gonna see him for another hour or her for another hour and a half like next time and I love you doctors but when you make it appointment come and see me I can say I'll see you at 2:00 and you'll still be sitting there at 3:30 it's revenge of the sith watch they come to this church and they said well you can't see past Benny he's not here well we want to see some well you have to have an appointment why are you here because we've heard that people at the church LV know how to cast out demons know how to move in power this enemy and we have stuff that's going on in our house and I can take there are churches in the valley I could tell you the churches that say oh that stuff's happening with you you can keep going to our church but you need to go to church LV and they'll go and take care of the spiritual disturbances in your home I'm like now you need to start coming here and pay your tithe here listen to me because I'm packing today I'm really am I'm packing I'm locked and loaded because here's what God wants me to tell you is that Jesus the man comes Jesus and he says I brought him to you Jesus is not contradicting the man Jesus not correcting it was like bro I was up in the mountain I mean really was it a holograph of me like Michael Jackson one show I don't know I mean really know Jesus is not correct him because Jesus already knows that he gave his authority to his disciples he already knows he has delegated authority you listen to me when you understand delegated authority you understand everything listen to me a police officer a military man they have delegated authority some of the greatest people in the Bible were military man and the centurion says oh no Jesus you don't have to show up you just have to give the word because I'm a man under Authority and when I say go to this they go do that and I want you to do this and they will do that it is called delegated authority I came all the way from Dallas Texas the Orange County California last night Guinea three and a half hours sleep last night as I rolled in a town about 2:30 to give you this word from God that you have delegated authority from heaven in the earth come on to make a difference that you are cold not to worry you're not cold just to discuss you're not called just argue you are called and I am called to release what God has give in to us come on clap your hands I'm not gonna stop come on now watch but but the man says I brought them to you but now nothing could happen and and Jesus hears these words and what does Jesus say to him he says man III he says he says bring o faithless generation how long am i with you or bear with you bring him to me so here's what Jesus says let's just read the text go to verse 19 again cuz you guys incredible back there Oh faith less generation stop the Bible defines faith is walking by faith faith is believing in things we cannot see faith is believing that the worlds were framed by the Word of God faith says I don't have to see it come on somebody to believe it so here's the problem the opposite of faith is not fear the opposite of faith is sight and here's what I mean by that if you go back in the text it says that the nine were arguing rephrase it distract it their eyes their heart taken away from what they have been given and arguing why it hasn't happened I felt the Holy Spirit wanted me to tell you this as we get ready to just to just to just stop in just about three minutes is that what's happening in your life and in the church's life is the enemy understands you have been given delegated authority the enemy understands that Jesus come out defeated him over 2,000 years ago the NDAA understands that the same thing that Jesus said to his original 70 and the original 12 and the original three and the original one is that you have been given power to trap over the scorpions and the serpents come on and nothing if the enemy come on shall harm you but here is what the enemy does the enemy wants to get us caught up into religious arguments that do not lead anywhere religious arguments about this and that well how come miracles don't manifest more often and and if you believe that God's a healer this person to get healed and that person did get healed and we could argue all day but the argument does nothing but keep you distracted from the source of our power from the source of our faith from the source of who who redeemed us come on and his name is Jesus cry the arguments the arguments and then people start saying well it's not God's will for him and he'll everybody it's not God's will that everybody gets saved it's not God's will and so how do we all I mean so so is is this well just pray the sovereignty of God as if God is gonna be in a good mood one day and God's not gonna be a good mood the next day all I know is is I have seen great miracles I have seen incredible things and yes I like you have seen some things not happen and I like you I've seen things that didn't go the way I thought they should go but I got a word from somebody right now now we have to make a decision right now we have to decide come on somebody right now we've got to decide right now I do want I do know one thing I have been given power I do know one thing I have been forgiven I do know one thing I'm a son of God I do know one thing I'm a daughter of God I do know one thing as Jesus is so am I in this earth I do know one thing oh you got a shout because there's somebody's gonna pick them well but the enemy has done the enemy now is positioning us other nine I'm going to tell you something and in the text in chapter nine you can read later in Chapter nine they begin to debate in verse 33 who's the greatest oh my my my my my as my country mama used to say but I'm not from the country it lets us in on the psyche the disciples nine were math because they didn't get chosen to be the three some yuan say nothing because you see I know that's me that's me right there I don't know why that a hot capacitor has those people close to him what about me you're the nine some you aren't even the 90 or the 70 some you out the 70 you're the 120 some you aren't the 120 years the three thousand after the day of Pentecost but what you fail to realize is getting close to me pales in comparison to get in close to the one [Applause] could it be who's the greatest Jesus is it those three that you took up there and he left us down here here's what I believe the takeaway is and when you get to heaven and you get into the great movie theater with sound we've never had before in a movie theater with 4d come on somebody not 3d mm-hmm that the enemy could get us arguing about who's the greatest amongst us if the enemy could get us arguing about religious traditions and things that don't mean anything we actually not that we don't have the power but we're so distracted that we don't watch me now access it and release the power that we actually have so thus the title of my message bring him to me could i retranslate that for you bring you to you to him because because Jesus now Jesus Jesus I guess back you're picking up what I'm laying down he said Jesus does Jesus does all this stuff bring him to me the quinoa how long has been happening since childhood trying to throw him in the fire try to put him in the water to kill him but I'm gonna tell you listen to me parents your kid isn't serving God your young adult isn't serving God your husband isn't serving God your wife isn't serving God somebody's not serving God and listen to me they're abusing themselves it may be drug addicts they may be alcoholics and you see my goodness man they almost died they almost died correctly they almost died and the reason why they didn't die is because God still has a plan for their lives somebody clap somebody shout somebody prophetic thing here how many times you gonna come to church and you're hearing but you're not hearing you're not a bad person you're just deaf I've talked to teenagers I still preach to teenagers old
