all right so in today's video we're going to be discussing breeding fish for profit now many different types of fish are bred for profit such as your endler guppies or your normal guppies or any other live bearer something really easy going all the way up to your more advanced kind of discus fish which you get more money for but they are a little bit harder to breed so first up fish such as endless and guppies and all your live bearers obviously are a really good way to start breeding fish and start getting a little bit of profit because they're really easy to breed and they don't cost much however because they don't cost much obviously you're not going to get much back for them but they're a really great way to start however i am going to go over some fish today that i think really strike a good balance between the demand for them and also how much you get for them as well all right so before we get on to the specific fish that i would recommend breeding for profit i'm just going to go over the key points and outline what you need to do to firstly be successful and also gain as much revenue as possible alright so my number one key point would be to stay within your limits obviously some people might just want to go out and breed the most expensive fish that they can find um but they're probably that expensive because they are hard to breed that's not necessarily the case but if you're new to breeding just start off with your live bearers and your really easy fish to breed and then kind of just work your way up you don't have to just go all out straight away so my second key point as obvious as it may seem is to breed fish that are both in demand and fetch a good price at wholesale and retail level because obviously you don't want to breed a fish that's going to give you nothing but you also don't want to breed a fish that's really expensive but there just isn't a demand for it so you won't be able to sell enough of it to really make that difference so you really want to focus on fish that have a really good balance between demand and obviously the price that people are willing to pay for them so my third and final key point would be to breed fish that you actually enjoy keeping and have a passion for because if you don't have a passion for them obviously you can still breed them but it's just better if you're actually interested in the fish because then you're probably going to put more effort in and you're probably going to have more success breeding anyway so that would be my third and final key point so now we're going to go over the specific fish that i recommend that you breed for profit now i'm going to go from least favorable to most favorable in terms of breeding for profit and i'll outline the reasons why but basically these fish i feel like strike a good balance between the demand also the price that you get for them as well as how easy they are to breed so in at number one is our most basic one and one that you've all probably heard of before and that's angelfish now they're quite easy to breed they're also a really interesting fish they have a lot of character which is great because hopefully that'll mean that you're interested in them as well but in terms of breeding obviously they're just going to pair off and if you have an experienced pair they can look after their own fry you know with with your help obviously in terms of feeding them um to a certain degree and then the only thing with these guys is you're gonna need a big tank for both pear and also to grow out the fry so that's kind of the biggest issue with them but there's always going to be a demand for them you're not going to fetch a really good price you know maybe kind of seven or eight dollars per fish and you can produce quite a lot of them um so you can definitely turn a profit but they're going to be coming in at number one so coming in at number two is gonna be a fish that is really great to breed specifically in australia so if you're in the us it might not be worth it i mean it could just be worth it just as a fun little project but i'm talking about p-puffers now in australia they fetch anywhere from 250 to 300 which is pretty crazy considering anywhere else they're only you know a couple of dollars but the reason why that is is just due to import laws and availability um but despite their high price tag in australia the demand for them is still very high so breeding these guys you know can really get you a lot of profit you've done right i am in the process of trying to breed them now and if you guys want once i've finished that i can release a how-to on breeding pay puffers so in at number three and my absolute favorite fish to breed for profit is going to be celestial pearl danios now the reason why they're my favorite is because they're always in demand they fetch a reasonable price at wholesale level and they also in my experience have been very easy to breed now they are egg layers um but basically all you have to do is get a bit of tupperware in there put a bit of java moss or some swastitang in there and they'll just breed under most conditions and it's quite easy to raise the fries well they're not very demanding again if you guys want me to make a how-to in terms of breeding celestial peldanios just let me know down in the comments but they're going to be my absolute number one because they're gonna be able to breed in such a small tank you can breed them in as small as a five gallon aquarium and they're just going to suit most people so they're going to be my number one fish um i know they come here number three but they're going to be my number one fish in terms of breeding for profit so those were my personal recommendations in terms of what fish i believe are best to breed for a bit of extra cash now the best part about them is going to be that excluding the angelfish they can be bred in very small aquariums so if you don't have a lot of space and you're just putting your foot in the door in terms of breeding fish that's why your cpds and possibly your pea puffers are going to be a great thing to start off with once you're past breeding all your live bearers like your guppies and that sort of thing so i did leave a lot of fish off the list a lot of great fish that you can breed at home like your fighters a lot of your danios as well as you know minnows and those sort of fish if you guys have any suggestions or any fish that you think are great to breed for a bit of extra money then just put them in the comments down below and that'll help other people looking for possibly some ideas on a new breeding project but that's going to wrap up the video guys so if you haven't subscribed please consider doing so because it really helps the channel grow and also leave a like and hit the bell notification and i'll see you guys in the next one [Music] you
