welcome back everybody to the St Louis Cardinals franchise we're going down to Triple A to start today's episode we've got some of our best prospects in the organization down here and many of them are nearing their chance at helping out the big league club we get started with starting pitcher Dylan Lesco the 22-year-old who is a 72 overall he might be one of the next guys called up depending on what happens in the starting rotation we've added some veterans we have many great prospects but to me let go is perhaps the next guy to get a chance at the show I think he has a chance to be one of our top of the rotation arms in this series he doesn't throw an overpowering fast ball and the change up is meant to be his best pitch the strikeout numbers at Triple A are on the rise he's over a 9k per n had no problem picking up strikeouts in the early Innings here against Gwynette Dylan Lesco is currently the number 16 Prospect in all of baseball number two in our organization and the sixth overall starting pitcher Prospect when it comes to position players we have some guys who are close to contributing on the bench will Brennan is one of them he's done a really good job the last couple years getting his offensive game a little more well-rounded than first baseman ran Ward is able to single through the left side as well giving us two on and nobody down but a ground ball by Jeremiah Jackson turns into a double play putting the only runner at third base and that brings up Chris Rond who is 26 years old has high potential but he'd have to really start to pick things up this year to realize it as of now he's only a 69 overall following his strikeout to end the inning top of the fourth a drive to right center and formerly in our organization was Lucan Baker and he's had really good triaa power for a long time that is a ground rule double the stripers get a couple aboard have a threat here in the fourth against Dylan Lesco and the 32 is right down the middle strike three got lucky there the change up wasn't hit and hit hard still a scoreless game we go into the fifth inning and a ground ball a sliding play by Jeremiah Jackson showing good defense there at second base and that's what he does best it could get him to the bench at The Bigs one day with two down that is popped behind third base arelis Martinez ranges out can't make the play but backing him up Chris Rotondo helps Rec toward the final out sometimes you get some interesting plays here and they're just kind of fun to watch retando ends the Inning on we go to the sixth it's Emanuel Valdez with a deep drive to center field this one's got a shot and at the wall catch is made by Will Brennan next man on first one down and a ground ball that is off the glove picked up and the only out is that first base so a heads up play at second there by Jeremiah Jackson but the inning extended that's a line drive to right field firing home it is offline and not in time as the stripers do get the first run across go bottom of the sixth inning and this is Josh byz hit one the other way and a bad dive oh that's trouble that triple a and even more so at Double A you never know what you're going to see here you understand what makes a major league outfielder when you see some of these plays bayz ends up with a triple and the catcher Leonardo Bernell is able to drive him in and tie this game at one and that gets us to the top of the order with one of our top performers at Triple A and that is Joe Adele deep to left Center gives it a ride and nearly sends it out and Adele flying the entire time slides in safely at third base it's our second triple in the inning we could see Adell back at The Bigs sometime this year he's playing great Thomas to JayZ trying to drive him in and a Fly ball into Right Center should be deep enough Adele tags and Sprints home safely and and Memphis takes a 2-1 lead so Dylan Lesco gave us six very good Innings and now it's time for Ryan Fernandez to enter Fernandez has been at the bigs the first two years of this series but now I want to see him go back down the Triple A and work on some things in a two strike count he hits the batter and then it's the nine hitter Jace Grady with the Deep drive to Right Center he sends it out of here fern gives up a homer to an outfielder hitting Ninth at Triple A batting under 200 on the season that is not a great moment for him Craig Kimbrell is pitching down at Gwynette trying to close us out bottom nine Joe Adell sky right center into the Gap and run down for out number one Thomas Su Jayy the next to bat and he chases the knuckle curve ball ball strike three Memphis down to their final out and our Elvis Martinez our top third base Prospect weekly hit shallow Center and dropping in for a single Memphis not done yet will Brennan coming up one for three lines one the other way base hit two aboard for Memphis and Craig Kimbrell not even given the chance to pitch out of this little Jam they bring in a new pitcher and Ryan Ward has it knocked down at third base but everybody's going to reach and we've loaded the bases on three ninth inning singles it comes down to Jeremiah Jackson 0 for three on the day fouls off a good one down the middle count even and scholes Strikes him out to close the game up stripers take it 3 to2 as we could not get that big hit late there aren't a lot of elite offensive performers down in the minor leagues and trying to build that up is one of my focuses right now we need some big bats to take over some roles here down the road it's still a work in progress we have a few prospects that have made it to the bigs this year and there will be even more on the way Norris Sullivan is the primary bench outfielder right now but there's some legitimate competition down at Triple A with Will Brennan and Joe Adell both playing really well Thomas Su Jayy has done a really good job offensively I know he only has C potential but I feel really good about him being able to carve out a roll eventally as maybe a utility infielder but if I could just choose one guy to break out and have a big year I want it to be a Elvis Martinez we traded for him because we're trying to find who's the guy that takes over for Nolan ronado and our Elvis Martinez is that number one Contender but at 24 years old 69 overall I know he has good potential he's still young but I think he's a little bit behind where I want him to be he doesn't have an above average glove above average power or really anything that's going to make him stand out he's still in that needing to develop phase and trying to find strengths and right now at Triple A his offense is just okay I'll do one of these soon for the dable a squad as well their season kicked off a little bit later so I'll let that season breathe a little bit and we'll get some more numbers for them but darl Marino is the main guy to look out for there and then you got pitchers all across this organization to coari Steve Castillo we should do a game with him soon Dylan letco and then of course Benny Matsumoto the number one Prospect in the organ organization going back to the major league club now we are three and 1 half games back of the Cincinnati Reds 21- 8 very impressed with their starts we left off last episode with this 3-1 loss to Miami we've now gone to split these next two games against the A's and it's time to hit the scouting again and one of my favorite players is looking even better this is lesie fiser number six on on our board potential is 80 to 90 he has college experience probably wouldn't need many years at the minor leagues to develop and he's a third baseman with a really high ceiling he's the number one player on my board right now we do have some new discovered infielders to talk about but I also want to bring up the top comment on the previous episode was shouting out another Prospect and that is Fred Dodson third baseman 15th on our board we're working through scouting some of these third basemen but it seems a lot of you really think that Dodson has a chance to be a generational Prospect so we're definitely going to be scouting him fully and hopefully we have some really good options at third base that's one of those positions in need we'll have to see if this potential is for real and I want to find out here quickly we've also been trying to do some Discovery and we have have Enrique Sorano at third base who is going to be maybe a final round option and then we have some Short Stops and that includes Jesus Fernandez 57 on the board we'll take that hits lefties really well could have very good vision and discipline and possibly really good speed but there are some holes in his game and maybe a bit too many for me to really think that he's the 57th best player for our board right now my focus in scouting is getting prepared for that first round pick and I think we're off to a good start with these two infielders and now I'm hoping we can fix some of these cold streaks at the major league level I wasn't outright benching Lane Thomas like I was just taking him out of the lineup for a couple of days you know I'm trying to figure out how to get guys cold streaks kind uh under control and giving a guy a day or two off and playing someone like Norris Sullivan is just one of those things I want to do but things have just been a little incomplete with this team and hopefully we can start to get some of those players on track today and let's wrap this up against the Oakland A oh remember this place feels just like yesterday we were drafting Aaron Dawn and Joe Michael and trying to rebuild the Oakland Athletics with a whole new stadium and now it's time to beat him if Lane Thomas is to get things corrected maybe it's by mashing against some lefties top of the first against Kenny wal the Chuck a main stay from the ace franchise to right field that is a fair ball into the corner extras for Thomas but it won't score a run quite yet this guy needs to get it going as well Wilson cont haris a 3oh count against wal theuk and he draws a four pitch walk so that loads the bases up for Nolan Gorman five homers 17 RBI but only a 200 average and behind in the count 0 and two got him strike three bases left filled again runner on for Thomas here in the third oh come on man I had good timing on that one why am I checking that that should be 500 feet out of here I'm salty about that one come on I had a good swing I haven't had that many good swings in the last couple games that's going to left though base hit Lane Thomas that's much better better so already a two hit day for Lane I think those are my first two hits playing as him so obviously very good and now contras dumps it in right we've loaded the bases a second time 198 for Nolan Gorman we've got some work to do one and two from kenwall the chuck got him again strike three Lars Nar his numbers are a little bit down but not as down as some others base is loaded 3-2 we got to go and it's fly didn't sound great and the catch is made in right field home run Jordan Walker gets us on the board top of the fourth o Grand Slam Nolan ronado Victor Scott with a walk then a double walk and our third time loading the bases is the one we cash in Louis Medina now pitching to Lane Thomas in a six nothing ball game up the middle it is through Lane Thomas three hit day and with Lane we have somebody else that's a base stealing threat I just haven't been getting on base with him all that much and look at us breaking up a double play all right Gorman 0 for three man you're facing a righty now and that didn't sound good 65 off the bat Gorman's o for four meanwhile you got Nester Cortez just shutting these guys down they got nothing today can we make it a for hit day for Lane Thomas Medina still out there no screwed that one up so much foul territory here did you just Bluff that Cortez I think he might go complete game today we just made it seven to nothing we're getting another at bat here six sat bats two on two down for Lane Thomas timed it up oo the slider I'm definitely more prepared for a fast ball right now that's going to left field no way Thomas a four hit day turned on the fast ball that's two more runs across Lane Thomas four for six finally his first big game that I've gotten a chance to play with him anyway he's had five homers on the year so it's not like he's done absolutely nothing but definitely one of his best games Lane Thomas with the oven mid at second base and he's going to get sent around third he will make it there for our 10th run of the game and now he can take the pizza out of the oven Nester Cortez complete game shut out what a game you know that could have gone a couple different directions losing a series here to the A's is kind of more fuel to the struggles while winning 10- nothing with a complete game shut out and one of our coldest players having a four hit day is uh much preferred nasty Nester 11 strikeouts I knew whatever bad start he had had to be a fluke following this series we're on to Denver can we handle the altitude tin hens pitching and this is a 3-2 win for St Louis very low scoring two homers including one for Lane Thomas and Tink hence conquers CS Dylan CE next 12-2 big win over Colorado Scott with a triple Lane Thomas with a triple Lane Thomas is getting hot two homers from Nolan back in Den ver and Joey low peredo Joey's got some homers this season I know he's got at least three wow he's coming off the bench and just hitting nothing but bombs right now five homers with a 186 average I think there's another Joey he's been modeling his game after looks like this offense is beginning to melt the snowflakes a little bit but Jordan Walker now finds himself a little bit cold but it looks like like for contris 247's more like it Gorman averages higher at least and of course Lane Thomas and we're closing the gap on Cincinnati four straight wins and a sweep in Colorado now Corbin Burns picks up the win for us going eight the bullpen has had it rather easy so far in this episode but now we go back home and take on the Rays ah come on darl Marino fractured Shin one to two months between this series and last I've had a lot of bad luck with prospects and injuries we had Aaron Don tearing ACL just a couple weeks into his rookie season we had Luis estrea get hurt like five times I know there are many others Miguel Cabrera was extremely injury or prone in that series as well that means Thomas Morris would have to take over at first base and he's also in intriguing player down there he is only a c potential player but it's all about offense with him he could be a DH a power bat that comes off the bench his offensive upside is actually really nice with vision discipline clutch all 59 or much higher Thomas Morris might be a player the Rays get the better of us the first two games in this series but let's go back to scouting and now we got Fred Dodson 43rd on the board and meanwhile Leslie fiser Fifth and fully scouted by the way so 81 to 91 potential going to be tough to top him Fred Dodson do we still think he could be generational I I think he still looks really good 43 feels low I don't know why he'd be going down that much when there's still so much High upside and then we're doing our homework as well on the short stops and and Jesus Fernandez continues to go higher so typically here if I see a skill set and I'm like why is this guy ranked so high it's because the potential is carrying a lot of weight so if he has high potential he's always going to be really high on the board we're going to have to see just how good they think Fernandez is now as we get prepared for the first round I think it's also smart to look at starting pitchers it's just a class with a lot of them that could be a available at 21 I would like to find a lefty but I'm not going to force it in the first round I just want another good pitcher if that's where we go estabon armas looks really good switch hitter tell me he a two-way player I don't think I've ever seen one in my franchise before I like a lot of the pitchers that are in Central and the international region going to be hard to get information on everybody but we're we're going to start off here with our best Scout and we're going to go starting pitcher International it would take like seven weeks to get everybody there fully scouted which takes us close to the end I'm probably going to be doing a lot of more handpicked scouting this year instead of like Regional so we have two players here specifically on the board Jesus Fernandez Fred Zachary starting to look also at players that might be available after round one Cardinals avoid the sweet against Tampa I'm looking to get us to the end of this week Jack flarity facing his old team and we get the better of him in San Diego Hunter Harvey gets the win and we got an 87 Victory with Corbin Burns pitching five and two3 two runs allowed helsley gets save number nine and we hit four homers including one from Victor Scott the Padres still take the series from us however and now we go on the road for three against the NL West I want to play I really shouldn't play this game but it's my first chance I think in this series that I've remembered we're taking on shotani we all know the Dodgers are one of those teams you got to beat Tier if you're going to go anywhere in the National League so let's get it going in Dodger Stadium for our featur game today I've had some pretty bad offensive showings lately and what do I do decide all right we're going to go play against Otani now I don't remember facing Otani as a pitcher in the A's franchise I do in the Rockies and it didn't go well Otani ninth start of the Year 406 ER 50 strike outs 51 Innings and here we go Brendan Donovan gets us started 306 average still he and Victor Scott still above 300 impressively and aani misses outside so la is still in the Wild Card position right now last I saw the Diamondbacks were in first place out west left Center Donovan flies up out to start the game and there are the batting averages at a glance still seeing Gorman Thomas in the low 200 range contris though has brought his up and here is Lars Newar nine home runs that's top five right now in the National League we're also getting some nice updates down below for some of our top prospects including Steve Castilla that might be one guy to get focused on next episode I know as soon as I see that splitter it's going to start going downhill that was the pitch back in uh the rocky franchise that always gave me issues one and two on Lars deep to right and that one's foul got him on the slurve strike three and here's Jordan Walker down to a two 46 average that's six home runs slugging is definitely down Ops is down it's a full count now from shoh Otani and he walks Jordan Walker Nolan ronado next grounds it sharply to short guess who that is everybody A's franchise short stop Trey sweet will see him today as we go bottom one and T Kent tries to continue a great rookie season eighth start however when I have been in control his games haven't gone great wow white sock just gave up 19 runs facing a potent Dodgers lineup and Freddy Freeman oh and two and didn't bite good to see Tyler Mali have a really good game on the ticker so it's not just me struggling against him followed off by Freeman hence has had a seven and a half strikeout per nine rate this season and opens by striking out Freeman oo Gavin Lux hitting 296 is it working out for him finally one Homer still a high Ops maybe he's just an on base machine right now doesn't that seem like a bit high for a guy with one Homer unless it's on few at bats good curve early on that's looking nice got him as well this time with a knee high slider and there is shoh Otani hitting third with the 2 92 average and he chops it back to Tink Hensen that is a rock solid first inning Wilson contras that's in there for strike one Phillies currently lead the east by eight games Reds lead the central by a game and a half and in the west it's Arizona by three and a half and that is a two- team Race right now the entire wild card standing is just whoever isn't in first in the central base hit right field contris nice swing it's just whoever's going to be in second in the west and the entire Central down [Applause] 02 nearly hit him it gets away from the catcher and contris will advance wild pitch for shoh three and two on Nolan Gorman otani's control a little erratic in this inning got him though on the cutter he swung through it I felt good about that swing timed up he just missed and it brings up Lane Thomas flying to Right Center splitting the Outfield and caught contras hustling his way to Third Base can Mason wi do something now he's done great with little playing time 390 is impressive on 40 plus at bats 98 and definitely way late on that one and drive down the line but that one is foul got past him is this really going to work though yes wild pitch number two scores a run I feel like I haven't scored on a wild pitch in like hundreds of games that was risky especially wow strike three I guess there's a lot of room behind home plate here at Dodger Stadium I think in a lot of ballparks if I had just like had the reaction to go there that might not have worked I got to keep that in mind I got to take a look at the back stop and if I can really uh trust a wild pitch I got lucky there I'm not going to give myself credit for that one that is a ground ball to Jordan Walker line drive right field it's a Nick castiano [Applause] single little dangerous there on the curve but getting strike two on Will Smith just a piece of it got him fishing on the change up wow third strike out already for Tink h and now Jordan Westberg what did y'all do now what did the orals and Dodgers do throwback to my Rockies franchise as we get a chopper that will be a tough play but win makes tough plays I had my Rockies built up nice in the West in that series and what do the Dodgers do at the deadline trade for adley Rutman and that move move was what they needed to top us all right Victor Scott 309 and inside 42 hits that is first on the team and I still have him hitting ninth I probably could look at changing up this batting order a little bit cuz you have three guys that might make sense for the leadoff rle I like Donovan there cuz he's just a really high on base guy and very consistent Scott you know in 2006 would have been the leadoff guy with speed and high contact high batting average and a four pitch walk and then Jordan Walker someone pointed out he has a quirk where he actually hits better with nobody on base so who do you hit one only one guy can there goes Scott got him at second base so Tony red my mind man is that the first time he's been caught stealing I wanted to have like a ridiculous long streak to start his career like uh Tim La Castro did oh I'm going to be sick that's the first of his entire career my day is ruined Line Drive left field [Applause] caught newball into center field and that one is run down as well Otani slurve has been very hitable today I haven't seen this guy in a little bit Trey Sweeney he's an interesting player he's a left-handed hitting short stop and he's like 64 65 lines one to left Center not that happy to see you today Trey and Sweeney will be in at second with a leadoff double he probably did that one to me because I replaced him with Bo bashet Chris Taylor hits ninth he's got to be like the longest 10year player on this team I feel fifth rounder 2012 that's not far off then good change when you have Runners aboard you got to get strikeouts Tink hence not quite striking out Taylor yet this time he gets him on the slider Freeman to Center Scott over he will not be tested but flashes the arm anyway what just happened contris in dropping the ball is becoming an odd thing in this series that was a little bit different and now falling behind Gavin Lux with Otani on Deck you really want the inning to end here strike two what's your out pitch change up strike three nobody aboard for Jordan Walker just the way he prefers it I guess that's his Quirk I got to keep up on some of the quirks here with our players and Walker has five of them we would love to get a slurve here with nobody on base during a day game well we can only check so many boxes at once we're on the road it's night strike [Applause] two drive to center field Walker deep and [Applause] caught me too Jordan it was The Perfect Storm got the breaking ball nobody's on base perfect swing low to Nolan it's a 3-2 count right field not confident in it out number two a slurve in there for Otani getting ahead of contris got him looking strike three and second appearance for Otani as a hitter had a one pitch ground out in the first inning trying to be careful against him pulled the Donovan nice job ahead of outman 02 and he's outman six strikeouts for tankk hence and three and 2/3 and now he's got castanos 0 and two curveballs offline nice fast ball away and it's flyed harmless lead of Victor Scott good evening everybody it's now the fifth inning Gorman 02 wow I was fooled badly can't catch up at 98 fouled off the splitter 36 strikes 25 balls from Otani the onew to Thomas no I knew partway through Prest and X that that was a bad idea nasty slur from motani timed it up doesn't matter at all 97 top shelf pass third base and Mason win is going to reach with a two out single so the inning is not over yet here is Victor Scott fouled back good fast ball with a 2-1 count here I really want to run with win and we will it's strike two and in there is Mason win little bit high on the throw from Will Smith so now we try to manufacture that second run I keep thinking he's going to do something other than the fast ball three and two we love having Donovan in these spots as well payoff pitch got him with the slurve out in front fallen behind Jordan Westberg here in the fifth pitch 57 for Tink hence a drive to deep left Thomas back to Chase and it's off the wall second double of the day for Los Angeles and their third hit just left that one over the plate and now Trey Sweeny oh that P out it's up the middle it is through and will score a run Trey Sweeney two for two and the game is tied the question becomes how long we look to leave hence in because he's had a really good day but this is a dangerous offense with a lot of great lefties top of the orders coming up here again thank you for chasing Taylor grounded to Donovan and a double play ends the fifth but Trey Sweeney's return to the channel has been a Revenge game in the making we got to get something going against oani we only have a couple hits Donovan cracks one to Right Center in deep splitting the gap for extra bases and he's feeling himself here on his way no yes yes the triple for Donovan first of the season I think we just got pretty lucky that the slide might have been in the right spot I knew it was going to take a perfect relay and that that's as close as it gets Lars Newar next we'll take the slurve action now in the Dodger Penn Otani two and two on Lars Newar grounded the Sweeny who bobbles it and Records the out as we retake the lead Mak Otani throws some pitches and Nolan now facing a full count and he draws the two out free pass third walk allowed for Otani and here is Wilson conteras 94 the vo is w way down he was throwing 9899 for most of the day I think we're making this become his last inning 93rd pitch on the way low and Nolan will leave early and that is his fourth walk of the game four walks two wild pitches and four hits Bullpen time for Los Angeles it's Gavin Stone how many hits do we have it is three and here's Nolan Gorman to aboard backs them off the plate come on man swung right through that I think we swung through that one too [Applause] three and two patience has paid off today for St Louis and we fight off the fast ball and chased it but now everybody has a chance to reach anyway safe at first is Gorman a break for St Louis and we've got the bases Juiced for Lane Thomas got his episode going with a four hit day that wasn't going to be it chasing the change [Applause] up just off the corner three and two again everybody's leaving early inside a third run scores and that should be charged to Otani and now Mason wi has the bases filled and that's inside why why did that check just let me Miss on my own base hit left field and one run will score I can't let all my runs come on wild pitches and walks I had to earn something here Mason wi continues our two out rally that was smoked off the bat at 105 if Victor Scott hits a grand slam including of the inside the park variety I'll do two more episodes tomorrow strike one that wouldn't have been a bad ball to do it on but actually I wonder if Victor needs a fast ball to supply the power grounded to short and they get the out at second base it is 4 to one St Louis patience was the key to that inning A lot happened there with two outs with two strikes and now we lead by three and are making a pitching change I've made a lot of mistakes already with Tink hence and they've all come with him in the game obviously I am quitting while I am ahead third trip through the order Tink hence is going to be one of those guys we keep in in these situations one day but not today Matthew Liberator has had a really good year and he's done well especially against lefties and a Fly ball center field Victor Scott with the catch we got five very good Innings today from Tink H that was a very promising start his command was so much better than the game we had in the previous episode 0 and two on Lux it's his third strikeout of the game I know left Lefty doesn't matter against Otani you could throw the ball with both hands there's just no right answer it's survive we do that now it would be fun to beat up on this Bullpen a little bit and feel good about our offense again four runs that's the most I've had in three episodes since opening day and with an 02 count hitting the back by not swinging the back that we've accomplished a lot in this game lar sends one deep to left field into the night sky run down do they move all the fences in this game back 15 to 20 feet that's what it feels like I know my offense hasn't been great lately but I have a lot of warning track shots I'm due for a five home run day that's a drive now from Walker out to left field caught again where's mooki Betts it's just a day off mooki is fine I think I know what's going on here check the flags in center field they're just whipping out there there is a wind machine knocking down all my fly balls I can't believe the Dodgers would resort to these tactics after how much crap they've all given in the Astros got him looking castiano strike three Will Smith that's a little bit foul I'd say Liberator has picked up five outs for us and six is not coming here and I don't know who I want to get this one Will Smith to second base our Bullpen kind of needs a little bit of rest here a few guys aren't all that Fresh So asking two innings here from Liberator pass donov in that's going to be it for Liberator Michael copek he's actually putting together a solid season Trey sween's for two good fast ball only nine at bats on the season for Sweeney they called him up just to face my Cardinals big cut there strike two not biting on the slider I'm trying to embarrass him on that pitch and now 32 got him nope I'm not fooled by that one either 88 off the bat 46 degree launch angle far too high let's try again 99 with 34 maybe maybe it's gone Nolan Gorman I mean I was bound to eventually let one fly out right I can't have three episodes in a where I don't hit a single home run thank you Nolan I didn't feel good until I saw the numbers like off the bat I'm like that probably isn't gone but the math seemed good 99 off the bat mid-30s launch angle that's a fair ball and Lane Thomas has another hit it's a new day and pass the diving Short Stop Sweeney Mason win with a two-hit game and he's hitting the ball sharp this season he's definitely growing and here's Victor Scott pokes it to left field catch made breny Donovan with a chance to really break the game open and Gavin Stone strikes him out good pitch we go to the bottom of the eighth inning and I'm cool with copc getting this batter here I know Taylor's always had good Lefty splits got Matt Moore getting warm though for the top of the order and helsley as well poked it to Donovan great pitch one down and here is Matt Moore who has been shut down so far this year no runs allowed in 11 Innings and it's his 13th appearance if all goes well he won't even see shoh in this inning pass Walker and that's a fair ball Freddy can get to second on that another double for the Dodgers been a tough day at the plate for Gavin Lux and he's first pitch swinging towards Thomas catch made here comes Otani he's got James Elman behind him that's not a ton of lineup protection first base is open more keeps throwing strikes so we get ahead in the count I wasn't even trying to got him sh Otani strikes out and he could be on the hook for a loss in this game as well the Dodgers are going to have to mount a comeback without him and they hope it'll only be a three-run attempt that felt a little bit late [Music] perhaps and now Nolan drives one deep to left field did he get it nope not tonight that win machine's working overtime Here Comes Ryan hillsley who is nine for 10 on Save attempts this year three run lead against the Dodgers I don't know if mooki bets is available I feel like the CPU doesn't pinch hit often in regular season games bouncer through the middle by outman lead off man's on and now a Fly ball at Thomason left he makes the catch had just enough speed to get out there I don't think Donovan let makes that catch wow that was 103 off the bat or 103 off the hand nice pitch by helsley and now Will Smith 02 that's a ground ball and it will end this game Cardinals Victorious this was a game that I knew would be a big challenge going on the road with rookie Tink hence facing the great shoh Otani and that was a complete team victory the kind of game I think y'all were probably hungry for or maybe like a 14 run Onslaught that might also be a good time but I enjoy games like this player of the game is Tink hence he gets the win sh Otani gets the loss Mason win has a threeh hit night the only Cardinal to have multiple hits in this game we finally had a home run with Gorman a triple with Donovan very good how many times did I stri break out I struck out nine an improvement off last episode however I did face Otani tonight really fun game there and we will go through the finale as well wow that's cease versus Yamamoto that's a premier matchup in game three of this series but we're going to wrap up today one game behind the Cincinnati Reds let's take care of scouting there's like a 45% or better chance I just forget to even touch this at the start of next episode but we got Jesus Fernandez at 55 on the board potential range getting pretty promising but doesn't seem he'll have a very accurate arm or a lot of power as a hitter so I probably won't agree with his ranking and then Fred Zachary goes up to 102 on the board and there's a lot to be excited about here so we'll further Scout him I might be okay I don't know I guess I should find out if his potential is really all what it's supposed to be and hopefully we can find some great players here at pitcher we got Felipe Ramirez 77 on our board and not even ranked on the MLB he is a righty that throws a fast ball splitter change slider and curve how about Ernest Chavis a lefty who is supposed to have excellent velocity probably is a long-term project but 110 on our board not ranked on the MLB Darren Delian is a lefty also popping on our board in the 100s but could be a later round option has a bit of a home run problem I flipped which Scout was scouting which player so we should be able to get Fernandez WRA up Zachary within five and continue to scout these International pitchers here here are the numbers as we wrap up today's action I hope you all enjoyed today's episode Nolan where's this power coming from he's been on a tear this episode apparently now tied for the team lead with nine Gorman has eight contris 7 but give me your thoughts Down Below in the comment section and if there's a player you'd like to see or somebody you think should be featured in a future episode let me know in the comments I'll do my best uh get around to those players you'd like to see most a lot more Cardinals franchise coming your way had a great time recording today's episode and there will be a lot more where this one came from take care everyone I will see you next time in the Cardinals franchise see you till next time
