Branson Aquarium at the Boardwalk

hey you all carpetbagger here coming to you live from the great state of missouri more specifically branson missouri and uh today we're checking out a brand new attraction here in branson we are at the aquarium on the boardwalk and look at this giant octopus he is beautiful uh this is a wonderful addition to the branson strip you know you see a lot of fun things on the strip they have the titanic museum they have the the hollywood museum that looks like mount rushmore so all these cool eye-catching things along the strip here with the newest addition being this octopus and this aquarium i don't know much about this aquarium other than it's very new probably the newest attraction here in branson so looking forward to checking checking in i always love a good aquarium love seeing the fun things that swim around under the water so please follow me [Music] so [Music] oh no if you look over here the kraken is actually bursting out from the side of the aquarium now i'm gonna admit here that i'm a little bit confused this is the aquarium at the boardwalk and then over there there's just a big wall that says branson boardwalk and i'm not seeing anything else involving the boardwalk i'm wondering if this boardwalk is maybe a future project i know the since the aquarium is very recently built maybe this is the crown jewel of the boardwalk and the boardwalk will be built around it but if anyone knows kind of what's going on here uh leave a comment in the comment section and look at this visiting from the nearby hollywood wax museum we have the rock all right we enter through this octopus here he's holding popcorn a lollipop other junk food but pass underneath through this hatch okay this is actually kind of cool this first room is kind of themed after like an amusement park or a boardwalk you can see there's like a roller coaster up there oh you can see this is a puffer fish kissing booth oh you can look you can see when you move her face changes and she kisses you actually someone's written over it it's a tucker fish kissing booth i guess she puckers up let me make her kiss you there we go this is the great clambo the fortune telling clam it's like a clam version of zoltar we have aquarius's glove shop maybe this is where their octopus is although i don't see them but octopuses are really good at hiding oh i see that starfish is moving just a little bit there he is you see him curled up in a little corner there he's just i'll be taking a little nap see on the fence here that fence post is an octopus this is finn's balloon boutique just a lot of beautiful fish of various colors and shapes frolicking around in this ocean-like environment [Music] it says well hello there you can see the strongman whale there lifting a hundred pounds that whale can lift a hundred pounds with his fin all right i think next we're heading into the submarine adventure this looks like a giant fish head that uh we enter all right so oh look a shark there's a shark in this tank right here some other little little fish as well you can see a a ray up there this is very delightful oh look at those weird fish oh here comes a shark oh look there's actually a whole bunch of rays up there [Music] they have their octopus mascot aquarius hidden in various sections in the aquarium you can see he's hidden right there i think octopuses can change color to some degree apparently there's carpet shark eggs in this tube here it's really dark i guess maybe uh carpet shark eggs need the dark to thrive see this tube here there's different coral on it it's a little fish just hanging out right there we have some beautiful lionfish in this aquarium right here i think you can actually get a better view if you crawl underneath ah all right we're up underneath oh there he is hey mr lionfish oh there's one right there all right it's a little tight quarters oh but it does give you a beautiful view [Music] it's our leaf scorpion fish almost look like little tiny little tiny sharks almost this is the peacock mantis shrimp that is one of the coolest looking little shrimps i've ever seen oh wow almost looks like almost looks like a lobster tail with a face now this is unusual these are known as sexy shrimp oh for real sexy shrimp says uh watch sexy shrimp move their tails to see how they got their name who said scientists don't have sense of humor what what's so uh sexy about these shrimp i don't know they they just look like [Music] yeah i don't get it yeah they're they're moving their tails there i don't [Music] still don't still don't understand the name these are cleaner shrimp i guess uh i guess they clean up the place so hey shrimp get to work get this uh get this aquarium cleaned up hooray down there [Music] i think that i think water man is a dc knockoff hero yeah water man these are glowing waters that we're now [Music] entering some fluorescent coral coral that actually creates its own light and needs a little uh clown fish hanging out in the coral oh look at that i think we found the hidden octopus right here he's hiding against this cave wall [Music] see the shark tunnel here some little sharks up above us [Music] and nothing's better than a good shark tunnel to hang out in this is really neat there's like a statue of a uh of an octopus similar to the octopus that's uh out on the front of the building here oh wow this is actually really cool this mermaid statue in this middle of this room and see the fish swimming around in a circle swimming around in front of her face there that's really awesome we got some good theming in here [Music] merman i'm a murder some pretty cool fish in here saw a big one lurking around oh look at that there he is that big one sit down in the mermaid throne [Music] it says up here may land and sea unite to protect our corals yeah this statue statues here very uh very beautiful and majestic look at those fish [Music] they have the seahorses here in this tank and actually i don't know if i've ever seen them all clumped together like that it's kind of cool seeing them all cling together little colony seahorses these are banded pipefish which are really strange type of fish they their bodies are kind of like sideways oh those fish swallow swamp of the way but yeah very interesting uh very interesting fish there uh oh some ship has lost their life preserver the ss sing 1922. oh look at that big fish coming right at us hey big guy oh wow a beautiful fish so apparently each room has a hidden aquarius the octopus is our mascot see him over the door right here entering shipwreck cove [Music] see the shipwreck right here look at the little crabs scurrying around the shipwrecks some of them above the water some of them swimming below i wish i could just freely move above and below the water [Music] continuing on with the shipwreck theme you can see the captain's wheel there all surrounded by seaweed and fish man look at how beautiful and bright these fish are real pretty fish what do we got in here got a delicious looking lobster right there and then a mean old eel look at him chomping his mouth oh oh [Music] and in this tank here they have garden eels you can see the little heads poking up from the dirt because they call them garden eels because they grow like little stalks of corn here is the octopus in here it's actually in the shape of this lamp next up we're heading into the bloom room not sure maybe is that a jellyfish boogie is this like a mirror maze in here no i hate mirror races no jacob especially when they're full of jellyfish could you imagine seriously i'm i'm just wearing it but i have no clue where i am is that another is that it no that's okay wait this was this a mirror or no this is this is okay so this really is a mirror maze full of jellyfish look at this you can actually hit these buttons and change the color of the tank or at least i thought i thought it was there we go oh wow okay gotta hold down and turns the tank green interesting okay yeah but this room is very disorientating you can see did you no oh i see him right now he's behind you no he's not there he is i saw the reflection i'm in the reflection but there's aquarius the octopus hiding in the bloom room [Music] work our way through the bloom room to this bright colorful tank here and the uh beautiful little clown fish leaving the bloom room we head into the kelp forest who out there loves kelp these fish here they love kelp you can see them hanging out and this giant hermit crab i know he's really into kelp jacob once again being the man childhood he is chosen to enjoy this climbing experience that you couldn't catch me doing that i swear doing real good there jacob real proud of you she joined me oh no absol i i'm pretty sure that would be how i died jacob just two grown men doing kid stuff join us in the next episode this is a workout surprisingly oh yeah it looks like it man you don't have to speedrun it jacob you can take your time okay little man uh i think you live there now i think you have to come down the other side jacob no you gotta crawl across and come down the other side you can do it jacob i'm proud of you you're my little man jacob now realizing how long this is and how large it is having some i think miss regrets [Music] good job you did it you got the record you got the record you did it you're the the fastest 40 year old to ever go through that also the only one all right so apparently here you draw your own fish and then you can scan it in to the fish tank here and your fish will swim around are you gonna are you gonna make a fish you make a little boogie fish fish what kind of fish are you coloring boogie you don't want to go let me see let me see you don't want to die oh i think it's a mahi oh yes it's mahi now it's going to be very different by the time i'm going all right i'm making a little shark or i guess i'm going to turn him into a shark shark it bagger and put the glasses on there and uh give them some some mutton shops give them a hat put a few pins put a few pins in the hat there we go we'll give them a give them a red shirt all right we're gonna give him some shark crocs here on his tail there we go the shark the shark at bagger place your picture upwards so we're gonna scan okay there there he is let's send him send him into the tank [Music] where's where is he where's the shark bagger there he is look at him you can see his mutton shops and his glasses and his crocs there we go oh he loves look at it he loves that he loves swimming around all these other sharks i almost forgot to find the aquarius octopus in the kelp garden but there he is oh that's some good camouflage each one it seems to be hidden harder and harder than the than the last all right here we have the petting tank so i guess we can pet these little uh little stingrays let's see see one right there we'll get a little pet hey there oh whoop there he goes there's a whole bunch of stingrays right here oh i love petting stingrays oh look at the waterfall [Applause] she can pet the uh an enemies here i always thought they like shocked you but oh we always weird it like grabs you a little bit oh yeah like reaches and like closes around your fingers and you can feel it sticking to your skin that is a really really weird sensation you like touching the the enemies no these santa enemies are enemies of mine because they're sticky yeah they stick your fingers they're weird fish got some uh starfish kind in feels i don't almost feel just like a rock oh look at that guy look how big and blue he is that's the boogie fish that's the boogie fish that's the boogie fish look at how broke he is he's big and grumpy like me please share your thoughts please are these yellow things gummy bananas that's weird what if they actually taste like bananas yellow skimmer sixlets yummy guppies rubber ducky quackers giant gummy bullfrogs because these are these gummy oh look at those are gummy alligators the octopuses especially beautiful at nighttime see it glowing here on the branson strip it actually changes color as we're standing here currently it's blue don't know how often it changes color oh look i think it's changing to a more purpley hue right there but yeah beautiful octopus so thank you for joining me here at the branson aquarium at the
