Man, imagine a comeback even one point higher?
And to think this would only be the second most humiliating loss Denver would suffer that season!
This game should be in the list of the best games of the history of the team, not only Brady era. I had faith in a comeback during Super Bowl LI due to this game. Nice memory.
Remember when people said Payton was better than Tom? lmao
crazy amount of turnovers, has to be close to a record right?
Also similar to the atlanta sb game in that everything that could go wrong was going wrong, and then everything was going right. (mostly)
Not even my favorite Broncos win. The MNF game with the intentional safety in 03 was better, it was in Denver and they owned us at Mile High until that point.
Loved this game though. Still remember the βPeter Peter Peterβ eff up.
That was a crazy game. I remember losing my shit at the Pats taking the wind instead of the ball. Then it all worked out in the end.
Some thoughts on this game, and that season:
The 2013 team was better than a lot of Pats fans give them credit for. Especially at this part of the season. At this point Gronk, Edelman, Amendola and Vereen made up 4 out of 5 players in 11 personnel, or generally in passing downs. Dangerous group, and that put guys like Dobson/Thompkins in depth roles.
Talib, Wilfork, Hightower, so many memorable defensive playersβ¦but who else forgot about Fletcher? He was a sneaky solid depth player. Iirc he got hurt the next year
Ah, the Welker game.
