BOXYCHARM PREMIUM VS IPSY GLAM BAG PLUS || DECEMBER 2020 || BATTLE OF THE BOXES || VLOGMAS DAY 15 ||

hey guys what's up and welcome back to my channel so for today's video we are going to be battling my ipsy glam bag plus versus my boxy charm premium so you guys want to see what i got in here who is this month's battle the box winner wanna definitely keep on watching [Music] okay guys so typically i do this series with like my boxycharm basebox versus my ifc glambag plus because they're both twenty-five dollars with about five to six full-size items in there with a retail value of 120 plus it is the month of december so my boxycharm base box does get intermingled with my boxy lux and it's one big huge box unfortunately for me i don't know where my box deluxe is it's just it's out there somewhere actually fun fact i got an email on december 11th from my boxycharm family now this is to my personal email so i'm not associated with my like influencers side like where they send me pr like this is a completely separate like private alley that i my paid for subscription so they sent me an email saying hello charmer we hope you're having a beautiful friday we wanted to give you a heads up that the choice item will be shipped separately from your boxy and you'll receive a separate tracking email for it by the end of the month but don't worry we're doing our best to ship asap in the meantime your box will include an extra item that is yours to keep thank you for your patience we can't wait to charm you with your december goodies xoxo your boxycharm team so i was like ah crap whatever i picked for my boxy charm looks is going to come separately now i've gotten that email several times before in the past where they said that they're going to ship something separately and sometimes it takes like two to three months for me to get it and at that point i forgot about it which i sometimes think they're secretly hoping for that you forget because then if you email them it's like hey where's my item they're like oh yeah it's on its way but if you forget then they don't have to send it that's just my little theory right there so what my choice item was i couldn't tell you um all my subscription boxes are starting to blend together at this point i know that i just recently did a unboxing of all three boxycharm pr boxes on the 7th i kind of forgot what i got in there i remember a few items because i got called to karen for it but my ipsy glambag plus couldn't tell you what i got in there don't know but i believe i always pick out makeup for myself i think i'm really good about that i don't know my boxy lux is whenever that does come in we will obviously do an unboxing here i like to compare it to what i got in pr because i don't know sometimes i feel like pr can be better but then also a lot of times i've been enjoying my paid for boxes just a little bit more than my pr and that's just me so um i don't know if you guys have seen it but manny mua just recently did a video where he did his unboxings and he got some like huda beauty he got some mac cosmetics and i'm like what i'm getting at that i got skincare and i got brands i've never heard of i even got an item that wasn't even on the list so i don't know what we're gonna get in here today but i do want to say that if i get an item that i already have a duplicate of or i just don't see a general use of i am going to go ahead and put that into my no waste wednesday hence my karen will come out and be like karen here because i feel the need to explain myself every video why i don't want to keep an item because people seem to get really really really butt hurt that i don't want to try something because for some reason it just affects their daily life beats the crap out of me i just don't believe in wasting product if i know i'm gonna try once and it's gonna sit there collecting dust that to me is so wasteful when i could give it to somebody who generally would get a better use out of it than i would so if i don't try it i don't want to keep it it's mine i paid for it i don't have to so sorry that sounds like a little bit mean but i'm tired of being uh ridiculed in my comment section because i don't want to try or keep a product so with that said we're gonna dive into boxycharm premium first i don't know if it's gonna be the exact same box as the last one um i did like my boxy premium last time because i know there being quite a bit of makeup in there which i was really happy about i remember there's like this vise art or viz art 80 like neutral palette y'all that's expensive so we're gonna we're gonna do this together uh boxy premium by the way if anyone doesn't know it is a 35 a month monthly subscription service it's either gonna be 35 by itself but you have to originally sign up for the base box then once you get approved for the boxing premium you can cancel the base box making this only 35 a month or you know what i do and i just paid an additional 35 on top of the 25 so pretty much spend 60 bucks a month on my two boxycharm boxes but you do get six to eight full-size items in here you're supposed to have like a 200 value plus a lot of times i really love my boxy premium but there has been some disappointments in the past it is what it is so let's go ahead and open her up together so first things first we have the bubble and glitz i really wish this would have been like a holiday theme i think it's super cute but it does kind of remind me more of like new year's but it is really cute and the first thing that's sitting right here is this true and luscious lucky glow palette oh no is it not gonna be on here it is on here oh okay so this is the true and luscious lucky glow palette this anytime anywhere summer essentials palette features ultra fine textures and pure pigments in a sheer base to create a veil of luminous skin loving color this retails for 46 dollars now i actually have this and i did play around with this so i'm gonna go ahead and add this to my no waist wednesday this is what the palette itself looks like um you have these shades right here now this little triple sevens this reminds me of the jeffree star uh peppermint palette if you can remember it's like the mystery boxes that he did last year he had like this exclusive peppermint highlight palette that people lost their damn minds over i licked that palette though because i like it smell like peppermint so um i remember that being like such a big deal so this was a really pretty highlight i remember swatching it but i'm gonna go ahead and add this to my noise wednesday just because i generally already have it myself and i don't need to keep two of these same products it's actually really weird is that in my video and i saw in manny wei's video we both got this product and we both were told on our card that we were going to be getting something else and we never did so i was like oh i mean i guess i was like a glitch in the system maybe we're in the matrix and messed up i don't know but i was like all right well time to try something new all right next we have this this elemis peptide for plumping pillow facial this retails for 65 dollars and it is a nighttime mask that has a biometric veil that is clinically proven to lock in moisture leaving skin looking younger and feeling plumped with moisture moisture upon leaking now i actually kept this one for myself so since i already have my own i'm gonna go ahead and add this to my no waist wednesday as well i actually really do like the brand elements i think it's a great skincare brand even i'm not the biggest fan of like getting all the skincare i do enjoy skincare like i want to preface that and say i do enjoy skincare obviously i wash my face twice a day i do all my skincare routine i even have a skincare like nighttime routine ritual but i just don't want to get it in every single box because at the end of the day it takes a while to really see the benefits of a product and if it's working for your skin and if you keep getting stuff multiple times a month you're never gonna go through at all so that's why i like i kind of wish they just toned it down a little bit but having one or two in here is not a bad thing at all so i'll go ahead and add this to my no waist wednesday hopefully somebody gets a good use out of this one all right next we have the it's so big volumizing mascara this is from elizabeth moth and this retails for twenty dollars and i actually kept this one for myself as well so since i kept this one i will go ahead and add this to my no waste wednesday i had talked about how i like to have like a really like thin um bristle where some people do like having a thick wand i like having really skinny wand it's just my personal preference but i did keep this because i wanted to try it out because i liked how the brussels looked it kind of reminded me of oh what mascara am i thinking of i don't remember but i do like this style bristle like there are some that are like chunky dunking and you're like oh my god like the really chunky ones i swear to god i might as well just paint my eye in a mascara like because it just gets all over the lid and it just gets so messy that i'm like okay no thank you but yeah i'm gonna go ahead and add this to no waste all right next we do have this crown brush set right here this is a five piece luxe brush set this does retail for 34.95 this is a boxy exclusive so i'm assuming that means that they made these specifically for boxy charm again i kept this brush itself i kept this brush set for myself so this will also be added into my no waist wednesday as well they really they were really pretty brushes i don't like open it because i want to keep it sealed if i can next we have the fenty beauty this is the um matt maswell i can never freaking say that matt miswelli plush matte lipstick this retails for 18 this is in the shade yeah dig is that blue my hair's blue it's blue i'm gonna add that tomato always wednesday i literally would never wear that in the slightest uh unless it's like halloween i don't know i've never been known to wear blue lipstick but anybody out there who does like that is freaking fantastic i'm envious of you but i personally cannot pull that off to save my life all right last but not least we do have the vizard professional makeup palette so this does retail for 80 dollars there are 12 shades in here now i was told in my comment section when i was called karen that this is a professional makeup palette that i need to give it a try and get off my high horse pretty much but this is a nude eye palette and i was also told that this is one of the more colorful palettes and i'm like um this is their colorful palette looks nudie patootie to me um the one thing i would say about this is that i saw some reviews on this and people said the formula it really is meant you know immaculate and i know manny muy where about the formula i can't stand the packaging the packaging reminds me so much of like an elf packaging or like a maybelline packaging it has a very very cheap packaging if you're gonna make it eighty dollars you need to make sure the packaging matches it like there should be like a mirror in here it should be better than just a plastic container that if you drop this this container can very much just crack so i am going to keep this for myself because i do want to try it out i already have the one that i got my previous box put into my no waste wednesday so somebody is going to get that but i will try this out it is all matte neutral shades i was told to give it a try and i don't really do that many new nude looks but when i do i do like having a nude palette so we'll give this a try um hopefully it's good but i would definitely want to change the packaging if you're gonna make it that price make it make it prettier packaging so hopefully that makes sense all right so my box value was 263.95 and out of the six items i'm only keeping one out of the six items because i literally already have everything else and that's typically never happens because boxycharm never sends me boxy premium and pr i never get it's just very very rare in between so i'm not mad that i'm giving all these items because i've essentially kept my pr ones so it's kind of like i just already got my paid for a box but yeah i will be giving all these away in my noise wednesday and hopefully get someone gets a good use out of it uh this was definitely not a bad box whatsoever i do like this box because it's full of makeup that i'm excited about even though i'm not keeping it i have it myself and there's only one skin care item so as a paying customer i'm satisfied i'm happy because it's all makeup so now we're moving on to my ipsy premium or my fc clan bag plus i know they're rolling out like this like i said there's like a ultimate version coming out not ultimate but like kind of like ipsy lux where like boxy locks are rolling out with ipsy lux and it's like every three months you spend fifty dollars and like i think like big influence are supposed to curate it for you so that's gonna be exciting all right so as everybody knows this but this retails for 25 and the one thing i cannot stand about ipsy glam bag plus is the bag choices because for the small 12 hour box you get like a really like legit makeup bag for the 50 one you get legit makeup bag and then for the 25 one you get a freaking sack every time what am i gonna do with this sack like who who is in ifc going you know what i think this for you really hear me out let's do a sack like who thinks of that i don't know but i saw this and this just looks like freaking legit a santa sack this is just it's so ugly and it's like i feel bad because i'm like what sheep had to die for this or is it like a fluffy yarn uh oh it's just not good so no idea what i'm getting in here i know that when it comes to ipsy glam bag plus you get three customizations every single month so if she will have two already preset for you that they want to put in the bag and then you get your own three customization you get to choose between three different sections and they usually have like four or five choices available for you and if it's available you get it if not they do push you to something else the box does retail for 120 plus you get five five full-size items sometimes six but mostly it's five and i really like the fact that it really is customizable now sometimes the choices are not the best sometimes you're like ah but it's the fact you still get to choose it so i really appreciate that as a paying customer so first things first we are going to pull out this lovecraft beauty blush palette right here now i don't remember what i picked and what's picked for me but i didn't point that out so here we have a lovecraft beauty and this is a blush palette okay i'm gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna sound stupid um that's blush that middle one that's like a that's a that's not blush bronzer looks like and on the back look it depicts it as being orange and look at these shades a lot brighter and look right here definitely not bright that is misleading oh you guys are misleading us oh that has shame on you guys i don't know that's ipsy or if it's lovecraft beauty for misinforming us but let's see how much this cost so looking on the website because if she doesn't like to give us insert to tell us what the price point is looking on the website according to lovecraft beauty the blush palette retails for 39 but according to walmart that pops up right here very top it retails for 22.50 but so i did look it up that one's labeled more as a bronzer this is legit labeled as a blush palette so i'm gonna go with the 39 price i feel like that's really really pricey for a blush palette personally um i think even like manny mua's like six pan moon prism blush palette was a lot cheaper than this one so we're gonna leave it there for 39 but here we have this i probably i'm not going to end up keeping this just because i'm not the biggest fan of a lot of blushes i have very few that i really do love and i tend to stick to that and these shades are just a little bit too deep they don't really look like they're blushy at all i like more peachy tones these look like they're more just deeper to begin with so i'm just gonna go ahead and add this to my no moist wednesday but i still appreciate the fact there's makeup in here this is the second time i got a lovecraft beauty item from ipsy the first one was like a highlighter palette all right next we have a oh this is from dominique cosmetics this is skin gloss all over skin enhancer what do we do this is called golden golden do [Music] what's an all-over skin enhancer i'm assuming it's just like a highlight right okay so first off the packaging is absolutely beautiful and when you open it up choose the shine oh i love the little mirror and little sing and then um i want to make sure that i have this information correct this is meet your go-to skin enhancer that puts your fresh dewy glow on full display skin gloss insulin provides a glassy finish to the face eyes lips body on contact and is infused with hyaluronic acid to give his skin a burst of hydration with a long-lasting smooth finish it could be used as a blush bronzer or natural looking glow wow okay oh that feels so weird it's like slimy i don't know if you can see it on my hand but here we have right here trying to like blend it in how i would in the skin i don't know if you guys can see it it doesn't have a smell whatsoever but it is very very creamy kind of like those like lip glosses that you get as a kid and those little like makeup packs at walmart that are super cheap that's like how it feels but i can't really see anything on my hand it just makes my hand look just a little bit shiny but i guess this is really cool i would never use that as a blush or bronze or anything like that but i definitely would use this as like a body glow especially when you're in florida like when you're out in the sun you kind of want to look like you're a greek goddess laying there i just look like a pale fish but maybe this will help give me that glow i don't know but it's from dominic cosmetics and i really do love dominique cosmetics she's one of the first brands i ever reviewed here on my channel and it was a lot of fun so that is really cool and it retails for 25 if i haven't said that already love craft baby gotta love craft it's not the right song because the other day i was singing cherry pie thinking i was singing cherry bomb love craft baby love craft oh god oh no we have a fireside eyeshadow palette by iby beauty okay first off the packaging though is really pretty oh my gosh that is so pretty this is an ipsy exclusive in here and um i've i've heard of iby or ibb beauty before because of ipsy but the packaging is really pretty makes your hair the same and when you open it up what how is this how does that that doesn't make sense does that make sense to you when you look at the back they make this the shades seem like they're going to be deeper look at that look at that dark green what the heck is that wow this is oh i gently am disappointed um i guess from the way that this is packaged it makes it seem like it's going to be like a fiery smoky maybe like neutrals with some deep reds and some like dark browns like that's how this comes off as far as maybe some oranges like that's how i would translate a fireside palette it says nail your appreciate look with this palette of nine earthy enchanting eyeshadow shades each unique shade like sparkly and nude nippy and mossy metallic evergreen it's packed with pigment to give you the stay all day glam you've been searching for whether you're back in the cabin on the slopes or on the fireside [Laughter] yo okay i feel like i'm being pranked this just no that's not that's they look completely different on the back like what is that no way oh my god i gotta find the price point of this okay so they don't have like a price point on here i think because it's made exclusively for ipsy so i'm gonna go with what i see on like ebay and mercury and poshmark i'm just gonna say the palette's ten dollars so we're just gonna value it at ten dollars um i definitely will not be keeping this palette uh it just doesn't make sense i feel like that's where i'm laughing just because i'm just more confused about the color scheme compared to the packaging the packaging is just freaking gorgeous i love the packaging i love the idea and content of it but then when you open it up you're like what is this that's actually funny though okay all right next we have um a i go rock out lash out mascara i actually have this mascara because i got it in another ipsy i don't know the price point on this but i do think i liked the bristles yeah i do so i'm gonna go ahead and add this to my no waist just because i already have this so but let me just see what the price point is okay well according to beauty bay it does retail for 17. so there is that last but not least we do have this ofra lip gloss this is in the shade truffle right here let me go ahead and swatch this i don't think i have anything from ofra when it comes to like lip products not really here is that it's gonna be more of a sheer lip gloss with like a little bit of a nudie sparkly undertone oh it smells really good though that smells really nice it kind of has like a almost like a watermelon smell it smells really really nice and it definitely is a nude gloss it's just a sheen of color to it which i really do like that so let me see how much that cost to leave it retails for 15 according to looking online my my bag retails for 106 now now i got five items in here and they're all makeup items so i generally am actually really happy about that i am keeping two out of the three items which isn't the best but i'm glad i could put the items to a good usage so who is the better box this month i definitely think that it's boxycharm i think boxycharm took this month's and just kind of blew it out of the water now the reason why i picked boxycharm over ipsy's yes ipsy is amazing and yes they allow you to customize your box you get three you get to pick three out of the five items i just i don't know i just i feel like i got more excited for a boxycharm even though this whole video i'm barely keeping anything that i actually paid for it's all going for no waste i guess i got more excited about the items that were in boxycharm because they were well-known names they were kind of more of expensive brands in there and i just feel like what you saw is what you get and i think what really threw me off was the fireside palette just really just like threw me off just like the color scheme and then the lovecraft beauty that kind of like threw me off as well i'm really excited about the ofra and the dominique cosmetics like i'm actually really gently really excited about this i'm excited to play with those and keeping them in this art palette but um i just feel like overall boxycharm won this month's box and i'm glad i didn't incorporate boxy locks because it kind of makes like unfair but as much as i love ipsy and i'm i really am grateful that they're really starting to put makeup back into their boxes i just feel like they weren't on on their game this month and you know what that is completely okay it happens you know next month you can always do something better i remember not really carrying too much my pr box either so hopefully next time be a lot better but yeah i definitely think that boxycharm won this month battle of the boxes so make sure you guys stay tuned towards the end of the month because i do have a few boxes for no waste wednesday i'm trying to decide whether or not i should just have it be youtube or ig only oh guys i cannot stress enough that i only have one uno one instagram account and every single time i do a giveaway a fake account pops up where it's allydawson.official or underscore alley dawson 89 or ally dawson um underscore official like i do not have any other account besides ally dawson89 i cannot stress that enough the newest one popped up yesterday and somehow it gained like 2 000 followers and what's really really unfortunate is that people are legit falling for it people legit think that i'm dming them saying hey you won follow this link and put your freaking bank account information in i would never ever ever ever ask you for your bank account information the only thing i've ever asked anybody is hey can i have a shipping address you won the prize and i ship it to you and i send you a tracking number i have never asked anybody to sign up for some registration click on this link let me just dm you in harassing so you need to register your account and your information in your bank account like people unfortunately are falling for it i don't know how they're falling for it but they are and i can't stress it enough i only have one account so doing giveaways on instagram i do enjoy doing it because it's the quickest way for me to get in contact with somebody and it does help me grow i'm not gonna lie but at the same time it's really frustrating that people keep creating fake accounts pretending to be me so they can scam people and i feel really guilty because i feel like you know it's in my name but the same time i can't stress enough and i say in every single post i only have one account so please for the love of god guys do not fall for it i have just the one just me just alley dawson 89 i do not have an official account nor will i ever have an official account i'm just me alley dawson89 it's just so distasteful that people are out there trying to do this to people and it only ever happens during a giveaway when there's no giveaway going on i don't get people trying to create a fake account in my name it's just whenever there's a giveaway and it's just really sad because i've had multiple people dm me saying they put their credit card information and what what do they do and i constantly tell them change all their passwords shut down your card contact your bank get issued a new one like unfortunately you have to keep out for the scammers so it really sucks that people like to try to ruin it for others but uh so yeah i'm trying to decide whether or not i should um because i have a lot of items if i should do like two of them or one i'm trying to figure it all out just like um i haven't talked about it but i did create a patreon and i will post about it soon never gonna ask anybody to join it but i just figured if i'm trying to do this full time every little bit helps and it's a great way for me to give back to you guys as well and maybe i can start you
