Boss RC-505 Live Looping Tips and Tricks - My Rig run down

hey guys my name is Reynard I'm a live music producer and musician and I'm here in Cape Town South Africa in the southern peninsula [Music] so the purpose of this series is to share my progress as a live music producer so today I'll show you guys what equipment I use and how the equipment works and show you guys a live demonstration of how I put it all together [Music] I'll give you guys a few tips and secrets so to the head cam view [Music] alright guys I just wanted to show you my rig rundown and first of all I'm gonna start with the Loop Station which is the heart of everything here all my instruments goes into the mixer and then from the mixer it goes into the loop station now this is called the boss RC 505 Loop Station it's got five stereo tracks you can overdub unlimited number of times on each track it's got fixed in a fix out and you can manipulate the loops via this these effects here and the input signal effects here and yeah you got a basic tap tempo button here just stop start all I use this boss footswitch pedal to stop start all stop all and restart recording on YouTube I mean if I press that one so that's recording loop 2 and then playing back loop 2 and then when I press it again it overdubs on noob to play and then when I press that it stops so if I got a bunch of loops going short loops and it stops starts stops starts it starts any to you so yeah if I delete it I just double tap stop button and it leads so yeah that is the boss RC 5 of 5 so what I do is I send my guitar this is a Yamaha NTX 1200 are it's a Rodrigo y Gabriela signature model and that goes into the mixer electric cello from net steinberger great cello I have I've had it for a couple of years now and it never disappoints and that goes also into the mixer the microphone into the mixer did you redo that I use is a custom made didgeridoo which my dad made he is amazing at making things and yeah he made me this one there's a slide mechanism on year so I can slide to different tunings if I want so that's really useful and that mic at the end where the end that goes also it's a mixer and then from the mixer it goes to the Strymon timeline delay so this delay is it's really amazing it's got a lot of different twelve different delays on there and you can tweak them on the fly really amazing and that goes from there into the loop station so you're probably wondering what this thing is it is called innovation circuit and this bypasses my leap station it does not go into my lip station but it goes straight to the speaker and the amazing thing about this is I'm Medi synced with the Loop Station so it just sends out the leap stations master so it sends out a clock tempo to this innovation and it is in perfect timing so if I could start a loop on here it automatically sets the tempo to whatever however long it was and then that sends the signal back yeah so I can just trigger my drums whatever my synth bass on there and this bypasses the looping and it goes straight to the speaker which is really handy and from there on I recorded into a zoom h6 and it's really amazing because I record stereo out of the loop station so I pan my loops each loop and so this loop is for instance hand - I just see panned left this is band center center right center so I got a bit of a stereo effect going and yeah so there's ball left and right in year and the Novation so good goes there and number three and oh yeah I forgot the chair I'm sitting on is done also Mike's bed Mike goes to do that to the mixer and yeah that is basically just a quick rundown of my gear and just quickly this is the speaker that I use it's a 8 speaker plus a evokes 8 or see if and I go from there on into the speaker and this is really nice for spread it's compact it really is a powerful nice speaker and that is my setup so let me do a demonstration for you guys and show you how I put my music together in a live situation [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
