morning ladies good morning everyone always asks why did I start opening Co a good friend of mine was getting married she was a size 26 and people thought out said well we don't have anything for you so you can't even come in or we can't even order up to that size or what is your wedding day I think you have time to lose some weight before then the average size of a woman in America is a size 16 so I thought I could solve this problem shortly thereafter Oh Nicole was born all right we have a bride coming in today Blair we're gonna find her perfect wedding gown she is a little bit skittish and so what we want to do is make sure we amp up her confidence to make sure that she's not really still focusing on her past Bridal experiences so that they can really feel the entire openko experience and we have that coming in for a final fitting so this is gonna be very interesting because typically I know exactly what to expect when the gowns are coming out of alterations but Kat threw me for a loop and she removed the sleeves taking the sleeves off of a gown a week before your wedding is a big risk okay so I mean 10 o'clock we have three ten o'clock sand then we have one 10:30 Jessa's the calm before the storm so let's leave her dress up front then okay she makes sure my schedule is clean we have a very full house so all dressing rooms are we booked at the same time and you have a comeback bride so you when's your comeback bride in number two okay Rebecca has a fashion-forward way she knows how to style a bride but she also has a crazy resting face and that I will take number one yes Jim is a style assistant Jin is super quiet but she picks up everything and you had the first one is at 11:00 yes I'll be interesting room to mess around - okay Rebecca is a free spirit flower child and she also brings a lot of great energy to the boutique okay I'll help you each person plays a unique role in helping women find their dream girl one dress at a time it is Saturday is Super Bowl it's time for the big win all right have a good morning ladies let's do it just I don't see a budget for the one o'clock okay what am I gonna slay out with hi I'm Blair I am getting married in October of 2018 I'm super excited about a fall wedding I'm working events for a legal tech company in Chicago Illinois I came to Chicago to be with my fiance and we both do comedy so it's kind of like the perfect spot for us Dan's just my best friend he's like really shy but he's the one that's cracking off the jokes and I found myself like why does this work when we were first dating I think you're just like no one I've ever dated before he's a perfect balance for me I am looking for my dream dress today I hope I find the one because I've already found the guy yes yes I haven't gone dress shopping I haven't really found it a boutique that's accommodating for my size I've put in emails and calls and it's like oh we don't have those sizes you know like gonna have to figure it out somewhere else it's just really hard to feel like you're celebrating your wedding day when everyone around you is kind of like you shouldn't be a part of your this big there's just not it's not really a market for us it's just a reckless Saturday to us but it's not a reckless Saturday somewhere and if you think about it in those terms you have no problem pour yourself into each Bry that comes through that door good great I see you have friends with yes okay is Anna Tiffany and Anna okay you want to get started okay have a seat right here ladies you have to see here once we do the console Blair and I would go and start the magic tell me a little bit about your vision for your wedding so my weddings kind of like a boho chic loft feeling oh she all right that's like a buzzword I feel like that I use I love boho chic boho chic is one of the softest silhouettes ever but remember be open to some other silhouettes has this is the first time because I really try to bring your vision to life okay of course are we ready I think so come with me [Music] may I come in yes okay ladies it's the first look Oh Blair so this is your first look this is truly a boho chic look the soft color as well as the eyelash lace around as well as a little bit of Sheerness here like a peekaboo like a little bit of a peekaboo it's really pretty what do you think [Music] what do you think it's super light I love that okay but it's it feels more of an a-line it's a soft a-line so what I hear you saying is we probably are not completely there yet no but it's a beautiful dress first it's okay let's just look one so I'm actually gonna bring something out a little bit different than what we discussed just to kind of see how close and far you are on the adventurous side okay are you ladies ready for this look yeah yeah look at that bod this is really really glam you actually have a little bit more of the beading there's actually horsehair tulle at the bottom with a little bit of lace applique it kind of reminds me of like a Kim Kardashian dress like I'm not like Abba Bam chica I can't tell how the booty looks but I feel like it looks good it's a good look I mean I love the structure it but I think it takes me outside of my comfort zone a little bit okay I think I have something else okay that might really be a winner for you okay I wonder if she'll like decide hey Jen can you get me a um a crochet hook yeah a lot of buttons so show you a little trick ask ladies are you ready to see yeah well yeah already come on out with [Music] perfect so this is a combination of both it has my softer boho chic style so has the eyelash lace that you like with the trumpet silhouette where it's perfect I love this one I love it so I'm gonna show you how we can change this look with two different bills turn toward the mirror so it gives a little bit more of a boho ish flavor tell me what your thoughts are I love this dress I love the lace I love how I get like my sleeve but it doesn't feel like as I hide them the bow I like I don't know if maybe I would go for like a little more bling let me change that for you one of things I would recommend because you do have the buttons all the way down your gown we would cut right here and lock it in yeah I just like how it makes a little bit more of a waist it ends sadly you can do a little more purple yeah so we actually can match your veil color to your dress oh oh my god gosh do you love it I do great I mean like it feels like I can make that down in the get-down okay now are you getting down pretty far down I just feel like myself I put on the lace dress and I could just picture myself walking down the aisle I could just see it this is my dress this is it [Music] Chanel's amazing Chanel gets that you are who you are in your own skin and you're beautiful that way and that you deserve to find the dress of your dreams it's amazing to feel like a bride this really is your look when I see the Blair's that walk in and we're able to change the bridal gown shopping experience for them it is amazing Divac [Laughter] you the bridal experience and working in bridal can be a lot of fun well I said next time you do an accent I'm just going to jump in and start doing an accident wait what what I say because I'm really English and sometimes it's important welcome ladies to open toe I have no problems having a joking moment with my staff but be clear there's a church and there's a state I do not let the lines blur because at the end of the day I am responsible for the bride help me understand how that delivers an enchanting experience wedding dresses [Music] it's coming in for a final fitting cat came in specifically looking for a wedding gown with sleeves so I was completely surprised when I opened her bag after it had been in alterations and the sleeves were gone this is a sample gown that cat actually tried on it has sleeves that were detailed with the Pearl embellishment all the way down and I want to work with her to make sure that she's not making a rash decision and she really really wanted this look what do you think chanel's wouldn't say about your dress oh my god I'm not being honest my name is cathlin and I'm getting married in seven days so next Saturday I'm 32 and I live in Skokie Illinois and I am a nanny for a family in Winnetka my fantasy is George and we met through a mutual friend even though he was too shy to get my number I just had a feeling that it was and a month later he contacted me and it was one person that was four years ago today is the last spinning before I see my dress again on my wedding day I'm excited to see it I can't wait good to see you too Oh are we ready yeah we're ready okay come on this way [Music] okay so few things have changed yes you take what address purposely Swiss leaves yeah I made the final decision actually last week it was a hard decision but once I tried it on without it I fell in love with it and okay I just felt like it was more contemporary and I just felt more comfortable in it what we just want to double check before we make all the final touches on it that is it a vision that you have for your wedding okay okay flip it on awesome I'm so excited are we ready yeah hey okay you look gorgeous oh my god so pretty it's so pretty oh my god it looks amazing I know it could not have been like a better dress [Applause] so this is what I you know we had it with the sleeve and this how it was my anxiety going into this was just not knowing if I was gonna find a dress I was gonna fit me it's beautiful it's beautiful and I wanted to have an experience like everyone else like being never thought that I could find a dress that just speaks to me and describes me and it's such an amazing feeling I felt pretty it's the damn veil that is it that's all you need Beyonce George is one of those people that can make me feel beautiful in a paper bag so he's gonna be over the moon excited when he sees me in my dress he's gonna love it felt pretty I might have look so I will tell you ladies the next time you see Kat in this gown and she'll be coming down the river going even though I'm a stylist I have to ultimately say that it's important for a bride to trust her voice Kat she was confident about her choice and she looked amazing this looks so good I just I am not unlike thousands of women out in America every day who struggle with their weight I'm six foot tall and they're moments when I feel like I'm the tall's and the biggest person in the room and so when my brides walk in I want to say I understand what you're fighting against is it's hard when you're not mainstream right and I just didn't know what the experience would be and from the moment we walked up to throughout she's gotten wonderful and you're part
