BOATS FACING HURRICANE IAN | Boats vs Haulover Inlet

welcome back everybody to boots versus Haulover remaining machine tick on Mother Nature down at Oliver Inlet Miami Florida and mother nature she is angry today and is firing it's gonna be interesting to see how our captains fare as they step in the ring and try and do battle with the inlets but let's get this one going as we'll step into round one and we have our first contestant stepping in the ring to try and do battle with Haulover I really don't expect to see a ton of traffic today we've actually got two cameras rolling we're here at Haulover we're also at Port Everglades so we're probably gonna have to go back and forth a little bit I really didn't expect to see anybody out today as hurricane Ian approaches but of course you still got those guys out there trying to make last second moves with boats and I mean the last second moves like this yacht right here that's coming into Haulover they gotta watch out this way behind them is going to catch up to him and probably give him a push they're coming in a little slow but the conditions are rough they're trying to use as much caution as they can as they make their approach into Haulover and really they don't look that bad for as rough as the conditions are and this crew's gonna make it in safely and actually take a win for the boat here in the first round and that'll move us to our second round of our competition where we're gonna move over to Port Everglades as we're gonna have a suenos making its way out of the inlet I have no clue what this crew is thinking or what they're trying to do the guys are all decked out in rain gear which it makes me think they think they're going fishing but they're heading out let's see how they fare as they make their way out of the inlet [Music] I mean honestly our crew really doesn't look that bad they've got the boat moving pretty solid trying to keep the bow up letting this thing slice its way through the waves but man it is just a rough day I'm not sure what they're thinking even trying to be out here on a day like this it's definitely not a day I'd want to be out there fishing but hey each to their own are they doing it though and it looks like last second as crude they are they're turning around we're gonna get the U-turn and they've decided no we are not messing with this and surprisingly I thought they were gonna take it but with the last second decision here they decided to bring it back in that means the inlet's gonna take the win here in the second round and that'll bring us to a one all tie as we move into the third round of our competition and we'll go ahead and stay over here at Port Everglades for round three and we're gonna have one of the pros coming out of the Inland as we've got a pilot boat making its way out of Port Everglades these guys don't have a choice on even on a day like today they've got to get out there and they've got to get the job done so far the pilot looks pretty good they're keeping the boat up on plane but that bow is riding just a little low on this boat and that could pose some problems as they continue to make their way out into some of the heavier surf and it looks like they back off the throttle just a hair for some reason oh no and they're gonna pay for it they stuffed the bow take the loss and the inlet goes up two to one as we move into the fourth round of the competition and here in the fourth round we're gonna take it back over to Haulover as we're gonna have a large yacht making its way into Haulover Inlet and let's see how this crew fares and see if they can hold on and get a win for the boats and keep the boats alive in this competition right now they're getting a little sideways there's not much they can do I mean this is a massive yacht but Haulover still seems to be manhandling it they're trying to do everything they can to approach with caution but man it is just once again a big nasty day but let's see how this crew finishes out their approach foreign 's interesting it looks like they're almost surfing a wave in which is a huge surprise for a boat of this size but they're gonna make it into the inlet without any issues take a win for the boat and that'll bring us to a 2-2 tie as we move into the fifth and final round of our competition and let's toss it back over to Port Everglades and see how our boats fare and here we go we got the boys in Orange making their way out of Port Everglades once again another one of those Crews that doesn't have a whole lot of options on a day like today this crew has to be out there but they are used to this but let's see how they fare as they make their way out of Port Everglades and whether the boats or the inlets will take the win in this episode and right now the boys look good they're riding this boat at just the perfect pace for the conditions they're in they're keeping the Bow high and they are out and gonna take a win for the boats and the boats will take a win somehow miraculously in
